However, to your question. If the game app (or any app) you open has sounds, yes, it will override the music app causing it to pause.

but in this case I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for that feature. iOS already provides a "priority". It goes to the app that is currently open, as it should.

Yup. If it is enabled (and i believe it is by default) in the settings, double clicking the home button brings up the iPod controls which allow you to raise the volume, play a song, and more forward or backward a song. If the headphones are plugged in, clicking the center button on the headphones once can also play/pause a song while double clicking will move forward and triple clicking will move backward.

I don't want to transfer all the music onto my new laptop because that would take up too much space. Why is it not possible to play music stored on iphone from multiple pc's

I am able to hook my nano up to 2 different pc's and play music that is stored only on the nano from itunes. When the same is performed using my brand new iphone I find all the songs stored on the iphone are greyed out and cannot be accessed.
Why is this so?
I do not want to sync to this computer just use the itunes interface to access the songs stored on my iphone for playback purposes only on a machine. Seems like madness to me and a step backwards in terms of functionality.

Not directly. There are varous 3rd party accessories that will output to an FM frequency to be picked up by your car radio. The sound quality is often poor.

If a game has sounds and doesn't include an option to override the game sounds by listening to music with the iPad, then no.

When trying to play music from my sons iPad through his Beat Pill Speaker via Bluetooth, the sound is only coming through one side.

If I play the Beat Pills via Bluetooth with my iPhone, sound comes out of both sides. Is there a setting on his IPad I need to alter?

Skipping when playing music via AirPlay from iPad to pioneer avr.

I'm having skipping issues when trying to AirPlay music from the iPad to pioneer avr using AT&T uverse 2wire router/modem.
Any advice as to the cause? I have a sinking suspicion that it's the uverse router. By the way, I have the fastest Internet option that AT&T is offering.

Also, This only seems to happen when using the iPad2. When I use my iPhone the skipping doesn't occur.

No, once the movie starts playing on the tv the remote speaker will cease until you return to the menu.

ITunes 8 & 9 - Half-second glitch when playing music

Recently, I have noticed a half-second glitch when I have iTunes on shuffle. The first song I play plays perfectly fine, but every song after the first has a half-second glitch about 1 second into playing the song. I don't remember exactly when I started because I often just play music as background noise at home. I did upgrade to 10.6 on my MacBook Pro last month when it came out. I have NEVER had any problems like this before on my Mac. I thought upgrading to iTunes 9 would help with the issue, but it hasn't. Can anyone give me some suggestions on what to do to resolve this issue? I'm somewhat new to a Mac and haven't learned the in's and out's yet. Thanks!

I have a similar issue. Everything was fine with iTunes 8 but when I got 9 my songs just wont play. They play like one note then just stop for 5 minutes. Then they might play for a few more seconds then they just stop.
I don't think its a problem with my internet because all my music is like this, not just the internet stream music.
Any help would be great.

Hi all, is it possible to play music files copied over from a pc ? I have transferred music files over from pc which was ok but cannot work out how to play them! I am unable to find anything on my iphone to play them. They were copied from Real player. Can anyone help with this please?

By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with ONE computer at a time. ANY attempt to sync such content with a second computer will result in ALL itunes content being first deleted from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature and cannot be overridden.
You need to decide what computer you want to sync itunes content with & stick with that computer.
