I was just wondering if it is possible to play any SIMS games on my iMac. Is there anyway i can download it from a gaming site or if i can, would i have to buy it as a gaming shop?

Well, 'internet' is 'network access' so at one level your question makes no sense.
If, on the other hand, what you want to do is segregate your Mac from the other machines then that's a different issue. There are numerous ways of doing that, but most would involve some level of interaction with the network administrators. Given their ana^H^H^H attitude towards Macs that may be an issue.
The best way would be to setup a separate VLAN for the Mac. This will create a separate logical network within the company network with only this Mac and the network router in it. No PC would see the Mac, and the Mac wouldn't be scarred by seeing all those PCs. This cannot be done without buy-in from the network admins, though.
A step down from that would be to use one PC in the network as a gateway to the rest of the network. The Mac would talk to this PC, and the PC would pass the data out to the rest of the network. This would require admin rights on the PC, though, which you may or may not have (I've seen a lot of corporate networks… :: shudder ::)
The last option would be to setup an entirely separate internet connection for the Mac but there are logistical issues there, too.
My advice: Buy a dozen Krispy Kremes for the network guys and sweet talk them into building you a VLAN.

It might play them on medium/low settings. The only thing you can upgrade is the memory and it already has 3GB of memory so if you the system memory then you would have to reload your laptop with a 64bit version of windows.
This laptop is pretty much a entry level laptop.

How can I keep my MacBook Pro from heating up and crashing when I play Sims 3?

I have a MacBook Pro that is only about 9 monthes old. When I play Sims 3 on my computer it heats up very quickly. I can get about an hour of game play before the computer becomes slow and extremely hot. Then cetain parts of the screen turn white untill the whole screen turns white and a message appears saying something about an error happening. I am not sure if it has something to do with the computer heating up or if it's a EA problem. But if anyone has had a similar experience and knows how to fix it, that would be great. Also, any tips on how to keep my computer cool while playing games or watching movies would be great.

Your computer is going to run hot while playing CPU/GPU intensive games - it should heat up and the fans should be noticably loud. As to why it's 'crashing' - can you post a kernel panic log? You may have some third-party kexts that are causing the problems.

Is it possible to play music videos on the Music App of the iPad 2? Or create a playlist for the Video App? or sort the music videos by artist, genre, album, etc.?

I have two music videos on my iPad and they don't even show up in the Music App - only in the Videos App so I have to conclude that you can only play them in the Videos App.
I could be wrong - heaven knows it won't be the first time - but I see no way to play it in the Music App.

I have the new GoPro2 action cam and a Ipad2. I bought the connector kit for memorycard and USB. I was hoping that I just could take the memorycard and upload the videos to my Ipad2, but I was wrong. I don't work! I have been filming on the highest quality resolution. It is only showing as an grey object.

My understanding is that you should definitely be able to play youtube videos using a Wi-Fi network. To me, it sounds as though the issue may be more network related as the videos will work over cellular data. I have a couple questions I believe could help narrow down the exact issue:
• Is the device able to browse to other websites while connected to Wi-Fi, or will no sites work?
• Are there other devices (iPads, iPhones, computers, etc) that work on the same Wi-Fi network?

Need to Find A Laptop That Lets Me Play Sims 3 With Ease

I will be going off to college soon and I will need something to help me pass time between studying, homework, socializing, and class. My favorite game ever is Sims 3! I love the game since I was in grammar school. The thing is I could never find a laptop that successfully let me play. When I got my first laptop I wanted it to play sims 3 right away, but I didn't do any research. So the game kept lagging and what not. I definitely do not want to make that same mistake again. I will have enough money to buy a laptop that will let me play Sims 3 WITH Sims 3 Generations (I hope to get for christmas). So does anyone have an idea of what laptop that can meet my requirements?

The Sims 3 is not very demanding... so if you run across a laptop with a dedicated video chip you will probably be okay. This is a very generic question as you will get a generic answer. Just find a laptop with a Nvidia chip for video as an example as opposed to "Intel HD Graphics". Get a mid-range or higher rated chip as well. Using the Nvidia 500 series as an example: the 510M would barely be pulling its own weight. 550M Would probably run The Sims 3 more than fine with everything maxed. And 580M+ would be for if you were serious about mobile gaming and wanted higher setting in more demanding games. AMD also has graphics chips with the same concept (They are not bad but I am not going into a lot of detail). Keep in mind these consume more power and will decrease battery life. You can also look into if the laptop can switch inbetween video chips to save on power consumption when you are not playing games.

Is it important that the music come from a video, or are you just looking to listen to music in the background, while doing something else. If the later, you can certainly play music from the Music App, Pandora, or iHeart Radio, etc., and with the music playing, tap your home button to go to your home page and open anything else you want and the music will continue.
I don't have any videos to try out right now, but you try the same thing out and if the music continues, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

I modified the 'SpeakHere' to play two audio files simultaneously, it worked perfectly on simulator but get hanged on iphone.
To this I implemented NSTimer, which regularly checks for both player instance every second.As soon as any player gets stopped Timer task stops the second one forcefully and again starts both.

Do you have the eLearning Suite? If so, you have Adobe Presenter available to you. If you don't, you should be able to download the Presenter installation file and evaluate it.
Presenter is an add in for PowerPoint. The neat thing about it is that it provides for a Table of Contents type of functionality as you see is configured in Captivate. But the twist with that is you are able to do something you cannot do in Captivate. You are able to insert videos inside the TOC area!

You'd need a midi guitar for that. GarageBand does not create midi from audio. Use a different application, like Finale to create a midi file from your Guitar audio file.
Or play the sax track using a midi keyboard or simply GarageBand's musical typing. You can use the track editor to add expression and articulation afterwards.

when you click on artists, and then select the artist you want, it can ither go straight through all of the chosen artist's albums and songs in cd order, or you can put it on shuffle mode so it can put songs in a random order.

The only options at this time are:
1) Find a 3rd party slide show app that will do this.
2) Put together a slide show with a presentation app that will support this.
3) Get an mp3 file editor and 'splice' several songs together into one long mp3 file.
