Unfortunately no. I asked the same question when I went to the local Apple Store for my "try on" and as of now you would have to order the watch with the metal link band and the black sports band separately.

My household has 2 iPhones and 2 Apple Watches on the same Apple ID. When using the Apple Watch to contact one another (taps, drawings, heartbeat), the alert is duplicated on both Apple Watches. Is there a fix to this?
iMessage has a setting that allows each device to select from which phone number (or email) alerts are received. I see no setting like this on the Apple Watch for watch-based communication...

Using More than One iDevice on the Same Computer
This applies mainly to couples who are adding another device and do not want their email, messages, etc. being duplicated on both devices. To begin read: How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer. You need to establish a separate Apple ID and password for whomever will use the new iDevice. See Apple - My Apple ID and Frequently asked questions about Apple ID. The easiest way is to do this on the computer using iTunes: iTunes- How to set up an Apple ID within iTunes.
On the computer create a new user account for the person with the new iDevice. This will be the user account that person will always use. He/She will no longer use the other user account. This way that person will have a separate iTunes Library. Note that once done you cannot "share" apps under a single Apple ID. Each of you must purchase your own apps under your own Apple ID. When you decide to split up like this one of you will need to re-purchase the apps that they want to use.
Start by transferring the new device(s) to a new account along with all your data. Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless they are already in the camera roll) by opening your Photos app, tap on Albums icon at the bottom. Now, tap on My Photo Stream album; tap Select; tap on the photos you want to select;, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow) in the lower left corner; then tap Save to Camera Roll.
If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep then you need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself. Later you can copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.
Tap on Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the person keeping the current account will not be affected,) provide the password to turn off Find My Phone and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted. Sign in with a different Apple ID to create your new account. Choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.

The manual says that the heart rate monitoring wouldn't be as accurate if worn on the inside. However, other people have posted that it works fine.
Both my mother and my brother have always worn watches on the inside of their wrists. I've never figured out how they (and you) don't bang them up on desks and edges of keyboards. But I'm sure it would be as annoying to you to change to wearing a watch on the outside as it would be for me to change to the inside.

Sure, but at least once a month pull the plug on it and let it run down to at least below 10% and then charge it. It needs exercise to maintain battery life, but that once a month cycle will do it.

Can the apple watch track the distance of a run without iPhone pairing.

I have been searching the net to establish if the apple watch can track distance without iPhone pairing. I have an older iPod nano which I use to measure distance indoors i.e on a treadmill, hopefully the apple watch could do the same. I believe that the iphone may be needed to track the route of the run, however I can't find any content about tracking distance without the iPhone.

Thanks Frank, however, I was hoping for something about the accelerometer as I thought the watch would be pretty pointless for runners who don't always want to carry their iPhone with them, especially the iPhone 6 plus. Furthermore, if people want to track activity in indoor environments such as tennis courts or squash courts. I did find the below which helps.

Hi there, I work in the Heritage Sector at an Irish National Monument called NEWGRANGE. We are experiencing a lot of problems here with Sat Nav system users. Here is the problem. The name Newgrange is iconic among pre historic monuments in Europe. It is almost a brand name at this stage and understandably it is the first name that thousands of end users key into their satnav systems. Heres the rub; Access to the Newgrange National monument is INDIRECT, via a Visitor Centre called Bru na Boinne ( Irish Gaelic ) which is several KMs away on the opposite side of the river and is a 10 km drive away. As a result the word NEWGRANGE being pre-eminent in most tourists minds, 9000 - 10,000 visitors per annum are consequently arriving at the wrong place. This is causing a lot of unnecessary anger and frustration among these well intended visitors and indeed among my own staff. The Solution; Is it possible to re-route people via an 'alert ' facility in the software, or perhaps offer a drop down menu with options for the end user, for example 1 Newgrange National Monument 2. Newgrange Townland 3 Newgrange Farm with the default set a Newgrange National Monument. Please let me know if this is possible and if you could open up a line of contact for discussion on the matter, I would really appreciate it..
