Is it possible to print a form automatically when submitted?

I would like to have forms automatically sent to a printer when they are submitted. Is this possible?

If you're just looking to export a single row via CSV, then yes, you can add that functionality to your Form page in any release of APEX.
Have a look at a blog post I made quite some time ago:

Using this, you could limit the query to only bring back the row that is displayed in the form.

Form 11g - Is is possible to block specific forms access when user directly type form name in url ?

We have XXF000.fmb, XXF001.fmb , XXF002.fmb , XXF003.fmb in 6i.
For migration to 11g , we recompile these forms and move fmx to 11g form server under form_path.
In 6i , we login for validation & responsibilities control in XXF000, So we can use account info to verify if user have priviledge to access XXF001, XXF002 and XXF003.
But in 11g , we can access these forms vial url request , such as : http://<host>:<port>/forms/frmservlet?form=XXF000 ; http://<host>:<port>/forms/frmservlet?form=XXF001 ... etc
These may cause some unexpected access and operations in functions.
Is is possible to block specific forms access when user directly type form name in url ?

You need to alter your formsweb.cfg file, either directly or through the Fusion web interface. You need to set the following parameters:
#this sets the default form for your application
form=yourmenuform.fmx
#this stops these parameters being entered in the URL, seperate different parameters with commas

Can my form print automatically when Submitted by user?

Is there anyway in FormsCentral to have my .pdf print automatically on the user's printer, when the user clicks the Submit button.
We do need to collect data and we also need to automatically print the .pdf for the user.
So, I need to the Submit button to both print the .pdf automatically for the user and then Submit the form's data.

No. Sorry we currently do not support this.

Print the form only when valid

Hello,
I have a PrintButton on my PDF form which activates the form validation. The print dialog appears only when the form is valid. However, users still can print the form using the File Menu or Toolbar. I tried to deny printing in the PDFSecurity tab of the Form Properties and re-enable it once the form is valid (xfa.PDFSecurity.SetAttribute("1","print")) but it does not work.
Is it possible to force the user to print only with my print-validate button? What would be the appropriate way to do that?

Hi Johnny,
The only way that Acrobat or Reader can vouch for the integrity of the digital signature is from within the application. Once you print the file Acrobat/Reader has no way of verifying that the printed document is cryptographically sound (which is what a digital signature proves). As such, we specifically inhibit printing the signature status.
Another way to think of this is, the validity of an electonic document can only be guaranteed in the electonic environment. Once the document moves into the physical world Acrobat (or any application that processes digital signatures) has lost control.

I am developing an offline adobe form that can be opened, filled and submitted on a mobile device like ipad.
I am adding a submit button to submit the form. When the device is online submit works and when offline appropriate message is displayed. I was wondering if device or reader submit form (previously submitted offline) automatically again. Is there any mechanism to check if the device is online again and send the pending forms automatically?

I'm trying to send a form, and when submitting it, it goes to my Mail account instead of the client. On a Mac here.

Using Dreamweaver8 on a MAC for a form. When I fill out the form on a testsite, the information goes to my own mail account, and then I have to forward the information to another person.
I want the information to go directly to the other person's email account. How do I get the info to go to an AOL account? I don't see that as a mailto: choice

Well, first, why are you running such ancient versions of Firefox as 3.6? i would immediately update to Firefox 15.0.1 as Firefox 3.6.28 is no longer supported and is critically insecure.
As for the dreamweaver thing, I'm not sure this is a Firefox issue, so I'd check again after updating Firefox.

Is it possible to print web form data once it is added to the CRM cases.

I have a client who needs to have volunteers fill out a one page activity report. I can create the a Web form to acquire the data. The data will then be stored in the CRM as a case. What I am having trouble with, is how to easily track the cases and, more importantly, print them out individually in a readable format. Is this possible?

The only option is to create a customer/case report which will output the data in a spreadsheet. Then you can pull the individual records accordingly and print.
I do not see any other workaround to this at this stage.

Need to clear form automatically when closing, otherwise it reopens with the data showing.

The problem is IF the user forgets to use the clear button. THE NEXT TIME the form is opened the information is still visible ?
How can I set it so as the form will automatically clear when closing.

The form will then be closed. Will makeing the form read only do that?

You can try to copy the text to the clipboard (Ctrl + A and Ctrl +C) if you need to refresh.

"Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Is it possible to set webapp item releaseDate when submitting via ajax?

I've been trying to set the releaseDate of a webapp item when entering the item via ajax. So far I have been unable to do so....is it possible?
For the field name and date format I referenced the API docs.
I've tried both releaseDate and ReleaseDate

Hi Dave,
The date format specified in the parameters section was incorrect, I have fixed that and will push the update shortly. The correct date format is YYYY-MM-DD - sorry for the inconsistency.
I have just re-tested the sample code here - Reference guide - Create web app item (that one had the correct format and it was working properly.

Help with preventing changes form data when submitted by end user

Looking for some kind person to guide me on a need to add a level of security to forms to:
Allow an end user to complete the form, submit as usual but when the form is received back (added to tracker/response file) the data that the end user submitted cannot be edited in anyway.
Appreciate any guidance here....

I have a problem and looks like Google couldn't help me.. I really hope someone here will be able to.
I have a Form Library using a custom form. When submitting the form to the library, users are getting this error. I don't get the error with my own user, only difference is I have full access to the farm and content using web app policy.

MOSS StateService threw an exception: A Microsoft SharePoint Server State Service error occurred while processing your request. For more information, contact your server farm administrator.
I deleted the State Service and recreated it twice, once with PowerShell and then with the Farm Configuration wizard. Restarted the server. Problem might come from InfoPath Forms Services tho but I don't what else I can do.
Does anyone have any clue??

We had the same problem with InfoPath.
After analysis of servers,it turns out that
the anonymous user authentication has been enabled on
the web application server
via IIS and not via SharePoint
(unsupported configuration), causing
side-effects on some queries which
calls to forms.
We disabled anonymous access.This desactivation
causes the functioning of forms again.

Remote print form automatically to pdf files

Hi everyone,
    The user want to implement a request like follows:
    1. quotation will send to a webservice for approval.
    2. when the quotation is approved, webservice will call a RFC to update the status of this quotation in SAP.
    The problem start here.
    3. inside the RFC call, SAP need to print the Quotation FORM automatically to a PDF file which will be named using Document No. date and time. Then a record need to be sent to another CRM with the PDF as an attachment.
    Is there any way to solve this requirements?
   The biggest question for me is how to tigger the form print and print it into pdf.

It is possible like this:
Maintain two output types for the same program of form output.
1. Maintain output type as EDI i.e. Idoc from SAP to Webservice. Say Output type ZWEB.
2. Once approved by webservice, call RFC to update SAP. This RFC will responsible to trigger second output type, say ZPDF.
ZPDF will trigger in sales order with transmission medium as 5- external send having name using "Document No. date and time" (this can be achieve by ABAP program for smartform). This e-mail will sent to e-mail id provided with PDF attachment.
Please discuss with ABAP consultant having good command in Smartforms.
