Is it possible to print a list of photos?

Is it possible in iPhoto (iLife11) to print a simple list of photo descriptions, keywords & faces without printing to photos themselves?  I have looked in various Help sites but cannot find a way of doing so.  It looks to me as though it is not possible, help would be appreciated.

The closest thing to a list of file names would be to print a contact sheet of 10 columns per page with the file name under each photo.
Depending the the length of the file name you can get 13 or more rows per page. The longer file names will wrap to two lines thus taking up more space on the page.
It's close but no cigar.

  • Is it possible to print a list of names of photos from project

I would like to just print a list of just the names of photos in a certain project. Is this possible with aperture?

I can think of two ways to do it. It is not something Aperture was designed to do.
    1. Select the project in the library and set the browser view to list view. You'll be able to see the names of the images on the left. You can use the Grab application to do a screen grab of the pertinent parts of the list. However, if the list is long and needs to be scrolled to see it all, you won't be able to Grab the whole thing at one time.
    or
    2. Select all the images in the project and File->Print Images. In the print dialog select contact sheet. In the Metadata & Page Options section set the Metadata View to "Name Only". You'll be able to print all the names but they will be included along with thumbnail images. You can make the thumbnails as small as possible by increasing the number of rows an columns in the Layout section.

  • Is it possible to print a list of files bet specific dates in PSE7?

I am trying to print a list of all the photos inc the shot date so I can check I have scrapbook layouts for all the photos in 2009.  I can organise the photos in date order using the thumbnail view but I can't sit there with my albums and check the layouts are in the correct order so would like a printout.  Can it be done in PSE7?

You might want to look for an add-on for this.
Although Firefox has a feature to export your bookmarks to an HTML file which you could view in Firefox and copy from or print as with any other web page, it only shows the descriptive text and not the website address, so I suspect that isn't going to be very useful.
If you want to try to work with the built-in features, I suggest:
    (1) Export your bookmarks to an HTML file; save it in a convenient location such as your Desktop or My Documents. This article has the steps: [[Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks]]
    (2) Open that HTML file in Firefox as a web page. You can double-click it (if it has a .htm or .html extension), or drag and drop the file onto an open tab, or use the menu: tap the Alt key > File menu > Open File.
    (3) Locate the portion of the file you want to print, and select it. ''Do not print from Firefox because the selection printing generates needless blank pages.'' Instead, copy the selected bookmarks and paste into a blank word processing document or new email message to yourself. Then you can print from there.

  • Is it possible to print a list of the books you purchased

Is there any way to print a list of the books you have purchased in iBooks?

The only program I know that can do this is the shareware Notmad Explorer. You might be able to view all the tracks with something like?the freeware JBHTTP and hence print, but I'm not 00% sure.

  • Possible to "Print" a list of items?!

We are starting over... with a classic 5th gen. 30gig and a Touch with 16 gig. Since Windows default backup program zipped all my files down into a bazillion little folders, I have been trying to unzip and drag to restore my awesome itunes library since... September.
Now I give up, but I would like one last thing - I'd LIKE to be able to plug one of the ipods in, and print a list of all the music I used to have. We transfered all our CDs over, and since I will have to do that again, I'd like a master list. The print all songs feature in itunes only prints what I have been able to manage to restore. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

I cannot read my list of songs from my ipod classic. I can only see what is on the computer in itunes. I would like to print a list of items which are actually on my ipod. I have not synced since august or september. I'm on "disable automatic syncing" under edit/preference/devices, but cannot SEE the items on the actual ipod. I would like to follow the above instructions, and copy/paste into excell or something, but still cannot figure it out. Can you help me a little bit more?!

  • How do I compile and print a list of photo titles

I have burnt several of my photos from iPhoto 2.01 on to a cd. I would like to compile and print a list of the titles of all these photos so I have some sort of an index of the photos for future reference. Is there a way of doing this?

Hi, Ian, and welcome to Apple Discussions. The simplest and most thorough way to do what you describe would be to use disk cataloguing software like DiskTracker. DT can compile a catalog of every file on every hard drive, CD, DVD, flash drive or other volume you have, then save the catalog either in its own native file format or as a text file that many other apps can open. You can search the catalog for a term appearing in any of the many fields it includes, including of course the filename. File Buddy can also do this, and it has hundreds of other uses as well. There are probably freeware file cataloguers available for download, but I don't know; I've had the two utilities mentioned above for a long time, and I consider File Buddy an incomparably valuable tool for any serious Mac user. I haven't needed to look elsewhere for file cataloguing capabilities since before the release of OS X.

  • Compiling/printing a list of photos

Can anyone suggest how I could print out a list of the photos I have stored in iPhoto. Its a sort of database after all - so I should be able to print out a list with say filename in one column, title in next, comments in next, key words maybe in next.
Can't see how to do it in basic iPhoto - are there any add-ons available?

    John:
Now with iView. But you can do it with iView MediaPro in its demo mode. You can get something like this:

The above is from a test library where I extracted the file name, description and keyword out in a tab delimitated format and put into Excel. It didn't paste very cleanly in this post but if it's tab delimited it will dispaly correctly in a text or spreadsheet application.
To accomplish this download and run iView MediaPro and open a new catalog window. Then locate and drag the Originals folder from your Library folder into the open iView window. Once the images are imported into the catalog click on the button in the top toolbar that looks like a bar chart. This is the Sort menu. Select the File name.
Once the images are sorted by file name go to the Make->Test Data File menu. When the next window opens you can select which of the very many items you want in your list. Then export to a text file( add the .txt extension in the file name that you choose as it isn't automatically added). Select tab delimited. Now you can open that file in a text editor or spreadsheet application.

  • Printing a list of files in a folder

Is it possible to print a list of files in a folder?

Thanks for all your work-arounds. Here's a comparison which might be useful for others:
    • Copying and pasting into a text file or word processor gave me a list of the titles;
    • Dragging onto a printer in the dock gave me title, size and date; a little difficult to read across the lines as they are spaced across the whole width of my A4 page;
    •Print Window (free version) gives a printout of the information in the window that you choose. The lines are quite widely spaced which makes it legible, but means it takes a lot of pages for a big folder;
    • Print Window Advanced ($20) allows you to out put as a file, so you can design a format that suits you. I use Excel a lot for these kinds of tasks so this suits me very well. You can also print our a format for cd covers which—useful for archiving.

  • Is it possible to print on 11X14 inch paper?

Is it possible to print on 11X14 inch photo paper?

It's Epson Premium Photo Paper, glossy finish, size 11X14.  When I  bought
the paper, I thought there would be no problem.  My knowledge of
photographic papers, from traditional photography, led me to believe that 11X14  was a
standard size.  Unfortunately, with printers, that's not the  case.  I may
just have to consider the purchase a loss and get a different  size paper.
    Thanks.

  • Is it possible to enter events into a specific iCal calendar, then print a list of those events with the name and date on a single sheet?

Is it possible to enter events into a specific iCal calendar, then print a list of those events with the name and date on a single sheet?  I don't need the calendar grid.  I just want a list of events on a particular calendar, and their dates.  Is that possible?

    Not easily. Two possibilities:
    1) If all the events have some common feature (eg you have included "XXX" in all the summaries), search for that feature then select and copy the found items at the bottom of the window. You can then paste them into TextEdit or a spreadsheet for printing
    2) You could write an Applescript to locate the events and write them into a text file for printing.
The first one will probably give you what you want.

  • Still print picking list when ALL items are blocked. Is this possible.

You know what warehouse people are like. When a delivery has all items blocked the picking list isn't printed, and the warehouse guys are wondering why nothing has printed. Of course a list is printed when there is at least one item that is not blocked on a picking list.
My question is whether it's possible to print the picking list when all items are blocked?. I would expect no items to be printed for picking, but at the bottom of the report I would expect to see a list of items blocked.
    Anyone?.

  • Is it possible to print the Reminder list?

I downloaded the "Reminder" app which I love.  However, I can't seem to figure out how to print the list.  Any tips?

Looking for a tip! Take a print screen of the open app: it will automatically save to the Photos app. Next, open it in the Photos app, click Edit and then go to Crop. Next, exclude everything but the white background with the list. Save, and then Print via the method peculiar to your iPad.
