Is it possible to purchase additional device authorizations?  Five is cramping my style.

I am a teacher, married to a wife in the teaching profession as well.  We have an iMac at home, a PC each at school, two iPads, two iPhones, a Macbook, and a mini iPad.  I need all these devices to have access to the same iTunes account.  Help!

No, it is not possible to purchase more computer authorizations. But if I'm reading your list correctly you have not yet reached the 5 computer limit for authorizations (you have 4), nor have you reached the limit of 10 devices associated with one Apple ID (you have 9 totals devices). What seems to be the problem?

    Authorization
Macs:  iTunes Store- About authorization and deauthorization.
Windows: How to Authorize or Deauthorize iTunes | PCWorld.
In iTunes you use the Authorize This Computer or De-authorize This Computer option under the Store menu in iTunes' menubar. For Windows use the ALT-S keys to access it. Or turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.
If you already have five authorized computers, then you need to deauthorize one in order to authorize another. If you can't deauthorize one because you no longer have it, then:
De-authorizing Computers (contributed by user John Galt)
You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.
      1. Open iTunes on a computer
      2. From the Store menu, select "View my Account..."
      3. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.
      4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
      5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
After you "de-authorize all" your authorized computers, re-authorize each one as required.
If you have de-authorized all computers and need to do it again, but your year has not elapsed, then contact: Apple - Support - iTunes - Contact Us.

  • Can I use US purchased Airport devices in the UK?

Well, I got the news yesterday and I'll be moving to the UK in September for a minimum of three years. While I've a world of things to plan, I know that I'll be taking my MacBook Pros and iPods and will be buying another "Apple World Travel Adapter Kit" only for the MBPs (as they're such good fit and I know I was able to use my PowerBook in London so I'm supposing the same of my MBPs? And possibly even dole out the cash for two of the same for my iPods?) but I notice that the description says nothing about Airport Extremes and Expresses.
As I don't really know exactly how long I could be staying (3 years until...?), I'm thinking I'll just sell a good deal of what I own, ship what I can't live without, and buy new (or used) furniture and electronic/computer gear... but will I need to buy new Airports? Will it depend on the type of broadband service that I choose (as I notice several that offer 'wireless' service - which I assume is simply their wireless routers paid for in the monthly subscription fee?
I think (but am not certain) that my cable/broadband/phone service will be through Homechoice (8Mbs): although it's possible that Telewest (who say they have a 10Mbs option coming soon?) or ntl (2Mbs?) will be available in the SW1W 8xx area - I've no idea how service availability works in the UK, really - more homework to do. I'm very, very confused about London broadband/cable TV options just now... BT says they have an 8Mbs service? Over DSL... or what? Electric and gas is easy... but cable and Internet service has (obviously) changed a bit since my last 3-year stint from 1983-1986. At least I hope it has... snooker at 2:00 a.m. is not the only thing showing in that timeslot now, I'm hoping.
But what about my in-flat wireless? Should I just buy wireless gear when I get settled in? It doesn't seem that anything I have is going to meet the voltage requirements. From the information I've been able to find (none - hence this message) my Airport Express and my Extreme are going to be useless.
If I have to buy new equipment, I'll just do it. I don't really mind paying VAT at all - much easier to keep a running total in your head when you don't have to keep remembering to add 9.78% sales tax to an item priced - today only! - for $127.49; nor do I mind the 8-9% higher prices of Apple gear in the UK than in the US - I'll be in London, after all! The City That Never Sleeps! No, wait, that's New York - London, thank goodness, sleeps... and if you ever tire of it, you just die, saith O rare Sam Johnson! In New York, you're never sleeping, always tired, and so death is just around the corner (all too literally, at times). But if I can save a few pounds by bring some of my smaller electronic gear along, I'd like to do so.
So... has anyone ever been on the road in the UK (or moved to the UK) and used US purchased Airport devices successfully? If it means using cumbersome converter kits, I'll just buy new... but if it's a simply plug change, I've plenty left over that I don't feel the need to buy 'Apple Sanctioned' kits.

    Welcome to the discussions!
+Will a USA airport extreme work in UK?+
    Yes
+Do the US have different wifi signals to UK?+
Yes. UK uses channels 1-13. US uses 1-11. You won't be able to use 12 and 13 on your AirPort Extreme. I'm not sure about 5 GHz channels if you plan to use that frequency.
+Is there anyway of over writing the firmware with UK firmware?+
    No
+maybe I am just setting it up wrong?+
If you can tell us what modem (make and model number) you are using with the AirPort Extreme, we may be able to help with the setup.

  • TS3988 How do I add additional devices to my iCloud storage?

I have recently purchased an iPhone 5s.  I keep getting a message saying my iPhone cannot be backed up because there isn't enough iCloud storage available yet I have 7GB available.
Can anyone advise how I add this new phone to my existing iCloud storage?

there isn't enough iCloud storage available yet I have 7GB available.
How big is the backup it is trying to do? If its bigger than 7GB you'll get that message.
Can anyone advise how I add this new phone to my existing iCloud storage?
If your new iPhone 5s is signed in to the same iCloud account as your other devices, then it is already using your existing iCloud storage.
As iCloud only comes with 5GB of free storage per account (not per device) presumably you have purchased additional storage?

  • HT4847 If you have several Apple devices feeding to the same iCloud account, is there an amount of storage made per device available free?  So that you are rewarded for the additional devices?

If you have several Apple devices feeding to the same iCloud account, is there an amount of storage made per device available free?  So that you are rewarded for the additional devices?
If this multi purchase if devices is not rewarded with a larger cloud storage being available, would it then be best to have several separate cloud accounts?
Would you lose the ability to mesh data between devices???  Of could you choose to share a smaller part of the data and yet save the rest of the device data to their own cloud?  So in other words, split a devices stored data between 2 different icloud accounts?   One community iCloud account for partial data and individual account for data that does not need to be shared with the other devices, however it needs to be backed up.  The simpler solutions would be If you have several Apple devices feeding to the same iCloud account, an amount of storage made available per device (ie: 5 units of storage free per device)
~ So that you are rewarded for the additional Apple devices by giving 5 more units of storage or backup space per device

Nobody here is an Apple employee, and my Christmas Season has been great, thanks very much. Neither am I jealous, I just abhor the fact that so many people these days expect more and more for free, in addition to what they already get for free. First world problems...
Obviously Apple do consider people with multiple devices, since the whole purpose of the service is to keep data in sync across multiple devices. Clearly, after consideration, Apple decided to give 5GB of storage for free and provide customers with the option to buy more storage if they want/need more, in line with competing services.
Everyone has their own set of unique circumstances but does that mean everyone should be rewarded with extras for free? At what point should it be considered acceptable to actually pay for additional extras you want?
And by the way, somebody expressing a different opinion, and discussing people's expectations is not being rude. Aren't you from the country that supposedly takes 'freedom of speech' rather seriously?

  • HT201318 i have purchased additional storage on incloud and cannot back up.  can anyone tell me why?

I have purchased additional storage from icloud and cannot backup.  Can anyone tell me why I cant backup?

Not being able to back up to iCloud can be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your device that is causing the backup to fail.  To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last iCloud backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, tap your device under Backups, then tap Delete Backup.  Then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on and try backing up again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app or something in your camera roll that is causing the backup to fail.  To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again.  If the backup is successful, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is causing the backup to fail and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails.  Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.

    Hello,
My device is stolen and wanted to know if it is possible to locate the device using FACETIME?

A person can not turn off this option because there is an access code to the device.
In addition the device was not installed FIND MY IPHONE, but I think there is an active wireless
The FACETIME another device was calling.
Device was not active Sim, Is it possible to locate the device via IMEI? Or any other way

Car does not address Mac, iPhone has a serial number.
Cars have serial numbers, too. They're called a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). That still doesn't mean that the manufacturers have the infrastructure in place to track them. You can get systems for your car that enable you to track them (e.g. Lojack). Should you fail to take that step, you can't track your car.
Apple sells you a product. They have no responsibility for what you do with it afterwards.
There is nothing to argue, Apple can locate the device 100%
Please provide proof of this statement.

  • Is it Possible in Purchase Order that putting the BOM, all the components ?

Is it Possible in Purchase Order that putting the BOM, all the components of that particular ges populated in the Rowt ? This is necessary to select single - single items is PO..
We are also using MRP and Forecast. We want to use this method in case of placing URGENT Purchase Order without considering WH stock + PO ordered + ....................
What kind of Query we would write , that  putting the BOM in the UDF, the componenets get populated in Purchase Order...
    Please give complete query.................

The query I have provided earlier needs to be set in the ItemCode field at the row level and not on your User field at the header.
The query below (same as earlier with the addition of the user field name - please verify) will show the Child Items of the BOM item who code you have entered at the Header level in your UDF.
    SELECT T0.Code FROM [dbo\].[ITT1\] T0 WHERE T0.Father = $\[OPOR.U_BOMNAME]
This will not automatically fire but the user has to first enter the Vendor Code and then enter the U_BOMName and then in the Item code field press Shift+F2 which will fire the above query FMS displaying the child Items for this BOM.

  • Is it possible to purchase cellular service while traveling in Japan for an Ipad Air?

I am traveling to Japan and would like to know if it is possible to purchase cell service for my Ipad Air for several weeks?  What are the possible cell providers?

I would rather look into renting a MiFi device. It's a small, portable WiFi router connected to a cellular carrier. The advantage is that you can connect up to 5 devices (usually). I've done this when traveling to countries other than Japan and it worked exceptionally well for me.
I did a quick Google search for "rent mifi japan" and came up with several options.

I have purchased additional icloud storage and now when I try to back up it says. "Last Backup not successful" No reason or additional information.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.

  • Purchased additional icloud storage, card transaction went through, storage data has yet to be updated. what to do?

I purchased additional iCloud storage for my iPhone5. Transaction went through, but storage data on my phone has yet to be updated. The purchased additional 10G storage has yet to be reflected. What to do? Thanks.

Close out all the apps on your iPhone.
    Restart the device.
Go into Settings > iCloud and check to see if your new storage has been applied.
If that fails, contact Apple Support to have them check your iCloud account for the purchase transaction.  You may also want to make sure that your payment information is up to date.

  • Is it better to purchase additional lenses for my t2i or start fresh with the 6D?

I'm looking to get into wedding photography.  Is it better to purchase additional lenses for my t2i or buy the 6D body?

I am in line with cicopo and TCampbell.  And, yes, this is the most important statement, "Keep in mind YOUR skill is first and foremost."
Also, I agree, lenses before body, however, sometimes appearance is everything.  Doing this for so long I think I have seen about every possible circumstance possible but it never ceases to amaze me when a new one arises.
For several years I had five XTi's that I loaned to my assistants.  But a few clients I interviewed have asked what equipment I use.  "You don't use Rebels do you?", was a common question.  My uncle Bob or aunt Bobette can do that for free.  Or the neighbor down the street from me has a Rebel.
Bottom line is, how important that first quote in this post is.  You must offer your customers something they can not get for free. Make it worth their money.
One is your eye and talent.  The ability to see the picture before hand.  And, yes, equipment that the uncle or friend does not have.
I am retired now and don't actively seek jobs but I do a few .  I use all 1 series cameras plus a 5D Mk II along with a 7D.
I generally have, at least 4 or 5 cameras at each wedding.  The 5D gets a 24-70mm f2.8. One 1 series gets a 70-200mm f2.8 and these two cameras do 75% of the shooting.  The 7D is on a tripod with a 100-400mm zoom on it and it sits at the back of the church (or venue).  My assistants have my other 1 series (one or two) with the 24-105mm f4 on them.
Another example of what perception can sometimes be, is what happened while I was at a friends studio the other day.
A lady, new customer, came in for pricing and after a short while of looking the place over she left. On her way out she commented, “I thought you used professional equipment!” We were dumbfounded at that for there was a 5D Mk III with a EF 85mm f1.2L II USM on a tripod that was in plain sight. About the same moment we both noticed a Tamron pinch style lens cap on it. She must have seen that and assumed it wasn't a Canon lens. Some photographers will buy Tamron pinch style lens caps and use them instead of the OE Canon. But the point is just beware.
It makes a big difference if you are doing this for funesy or you are putting groceries on the table.
    EOS 1Ds Mk III, EOS 1D Mk IV EF 50mm f1.2 L, EF 24-70mm f2.8 L,

  • Is possible to purchase the program and host it on our own server?

Is possible to purchase the program and host it on our own server?

Like so many questions, the answer is: yes... maybe.
Mac OS X Server includes a web server, so it's entirely possible (trivial, even) to create a web site on your server.
Making it available to the outside world depends a little bit on your network connection - you'll probably need to tweak your router/firewall configuration to let external connections into your server.
Then you also need to consider your network speed - remote users will be limited to the upload speed of your link - if you're on a residential link that might not be all that fast. In addition, many large ISPs restrict the running of servers on residential connections (you don't say whether your server is located on a business or residential link).
Beyond that, though there are various back-end technologies that you can use to add dynamic elements to your pages (so they're not just static HTML pages). Things like PHP, Perl, Ruby, Python and more are built in, as is MySQL if you want a databased-driven site. Some technologies are not supported, though, such as ASP. Therefore you might need to consider what dynamic content system (if any) you want to run.

  • Is it possible to delink my devices so they have different apps?

We have 2 iPhones and an iPad, but use one AppleID.  My wife and I want different apps on our phones.  Is it possible to delink the devices or is that done automatically because of the AppleID?

    Hi Gatorriz,
If you don't want apps automatically downloading to all the devices when they are purchased and instead just the device you purchase the app on, you can turn off Automatic Downloads to achieve that as per this article:
iTunes Store: How to enable Automatic Downloads
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4539
Follow the steps for disabling Automatic Downloads (by content type) on your iPhone, your wife's iPhone, and the iPad.
    I hope this helps!  Cheers,
