Is it possible to purchase creative cloud file storage without paying for apps?

I already have CS6 and I am not currently interested in purchasing app or paying monthly for the use of said apps. I would just like to pay a little for a little extra storage.

Just curious but why would you want to pay Adobe for storage? It's bad enough now days that people have to rent their software for CC.
Have you considered things such as: Box - Dropbox - Google Drive - SkyDrive - etc., (to name a few). Many of which have better features than Adobe's offering and come with less the trouble to deal with relative to many threads found on the forum concerning issues.

    I'm a designer student and as a designer, I constantly have to make decks for presentations.  I typically work in a group of six and because I'm confident with graphic design, I tend to be the leader of these tasks.  I've found the best workflow for slide creation is Indesign.  Unfortunatly, I'm just an awful writer— so when I heard about Incopy's collabrative features(saw the post from indesign's facebook page) I saw oppertunity and got very excited.  My teamates and I typically all have subscriptions to adobe cc because of this, I was wondering (since I havent used it at all) if the storage given out from adobe cc was able to be that shared volume that is required for the live link between incopy stories and indesign layouts.

    Is is possible to use creative cloud as a shared volume for collaboration between Incopy & Indesign?
    If this needs any further clarification I'll gladly write a more detailed question — lastly, if this is not possible might you suggest an alternative?  Please assume that we go to school together but we work offsite also.

    You will not be able to use the Files page at https://creative.adobe.com/files for collaboration in this way. But you can share individual files in this way.
    When folder sharing is available this will be possible.

    I will add that if someone uses the Report abuse link on a file you share it will be accessed per the Terms of Use.
    The only other time a file would be accessed is with explicit permission from the customer for a bug investigation. In that case we would investigate the bug but not use the file for any other purpose.

    Can I edit an Illustrator file that I have saved in Creative Cloud Files without first having to download it to my mac and then re-upload it once I'm finished editing it?

    You cannot access file directly that are stored in the Creative Cloud file storage.
    You can use file syncing and store the file in your Creative Cloud Files folder. That way your changes are synced up to the Creative Cloud file storage. If you do not have access to the file sycning yet you can sign up from the Early Access page at https://creative.adobe.com/earlyaccess.

  • Purchased Creative Cloud complete on Black Friday for $40/mo, I've been charged twice and can't find out how to license my trial. PLEASE HELP!

    I signed up and purchased a discount plan of Creative Cloud Complete for $40/mo for the first year on Black Friday (11/28/14). I downloaded the Creative Cloud desktop app as well as Lightroom and Photoshop a few days later when my new computer came in. They have both reached the trial limit (I'm not even sure why it put me as a trial when I had already purchased Creative Cloud Complete). Since then I have downloaded and installed AE and PR and they have about 15 days left on the trial. My account has now been charged $40 twice. The first time was on 11/28/14 when I signed up, and the second time was on 12/29/14. Both were for the amount of $39.99. When I log into my Adobe Creative Cloud account online, it's asking me if I'm "ready to buy?". Why does it say this if I have already purchased a plan? How do I get the information to license all of the software? Nowhere in my account settings can I find a way to license all of the Creative Cloud programs I have installed. Please help! I have tons of projects I need to be working on and cannot afford any delays!

  • Bug: Keywords wiped out in Creative Cloud File Storage

    Hello,
    I think I may have uncovered a bug in the Creative Cloud Drive. 
    I uploaded over 250 photos with keywords to my CC account however upon upload, CC appears to have deleted all the keywords
    from the meta data.
    Could anyone verify whether this is a CC prfoblem?
    Could anyone suggest a fix, or some way to get those keywords back as it would take a very long time to re-add those keywords?

  • Creative Cloud - BUG Changing Installation Directory for Apps

    I searched and could only find this similar post here

    Which stated the issue I am experiencing.  In the preferences of the creative cloud desktop program I changed the installation directory to D drive because I have my main hard drive partitioned and the programs would take up too much space on C.  Regardless of the change in preferences the applications were still installing to my C drive.  I tried restarting and reinstalling and nothing seemed to work. 
    Finally I decided to reallocate my D partition back to C, I have yet to complete this because I am waiting for all the data on D to be transferred to an external drive so I can recombine it to C without losing data ( I don't know if this is necessary, I haven't recombined partitions in the operating system before, but just to be safe)
    ANYWAY
    As I am waiting for the transfer (Over 120gbs takes a while)  I changed the installation directory in the Creative Cloud preferences back to C and went ahead and installed the program I was trying to prior to all this.  Guess What?  It installed to my D drive!!!
    This isn't a serious bug for me, just incredibly annoying and causing a lot of extra work on my part just to install the program I wanted.  However for someone who requires a different directory to install to and cannot rearrange their computer to accommodate this bug I could see it being more serious.  Has anyone else had this issue and did you find a solution?  Thanks.
    P.S. Adobe you rock, I hope your other CC programs don't feel rushed for release like your installer does

And now the word is out that you are raising subscription prices after the first year? Who do you think you are? You HURT peoples ability to earn a living! You cost us hours and days and months trying trying to fix your problems so we can move forward with your products? Who in the hell do you think you are? Tell you what, dont cancel a thing. A media blitz and maybe a subpoena to San Jose is the right move to protect peoples rights. Your company needs to learn a lesson in how to treat legacy customers. Tell your customers that after FOUR months of unusability of your product, DAYS of the customer trying to fix the company problem, that your solution is give them TWO months FREE then JACK the price up for them!     ADOBE CUSTOMER: The Russian cracked version of PS 2014 will have to do on another clients machine until you have a total new WORKING release. I'm tired of being your company's test pig, doing the boiler plate cleaner routines, and having the same failures. It's one thing to have broken software, but NOT acceptable to treat customers the way I have been treated, and then, be greedy on a remediation offer from you.
    You say,"We value all our customers."  Again, clearly NO ONE from the BOD has taught you that if you take care of the customer, then the customer will take care of adobe.

    can i use creative cloud files (cloud storage) to store and access dreamweaver files for 2 computers? Can I access and edit files from computer 1 and then the next day access and edit files from computer 2 and have creative cloud syncronize both computers to the cloud storage?

    You cannot access the files stored in the Creative Cloud directly.
    What you can use is file syncing. This way any changes you make to files in the Creative Cloud Files folder on your computer are synced up to the Creative Cloud file storage, and then synced back down to the other computer that is also running file syncing.

  • How can I view my Creative Cloud Files on my iOS device?

    Hi All, I recently turned on file sync in my Creative Cloud app, and like the WEB UI overall.  I'm considering permanently switching to CC from Dropbox.  The one thing I can't seem to find is a CC iOS application.  Are we seriously expected to browse our files via mobile device on a browser? There is no app?

    "Your Adobe Creative Cloud account comes with online storage so that your files are available to you anywhere and on any device or computer. You can preview many creative file types directly in a web browser on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. These file types include: PSD, AI, INDD, JPG, PDF, GIF, PNG, Photoshop Touch, Ideas, and others."
    Edit: I just tried using the file explorer via Safari and Chrome on my iPhone 5s and the scrolling is completely broken, I can only see the first few folders, and am unable to scroll down for the rest.

    I live in Bangladesh, a country where Adobe Creative Cloud is not available for purchase. Many people here who need it use the crack version. However, I would like to be able to use the version Adobe is offering on its site. Would it be possible for me to get a friend who lives in a country where Creative Cloud is available for purchase, purchase Creative Cloud for me using an email address I use so that I can get to use it instead of my friend? Will it work that way or will Adobe detect that someone from a country Creative Cloud is not available in using their product and thus restrict my usage?
