Is it possible to put videos on ipod then delete from itunes???

I really like the videos but im worried about the mem space on my comp....is it possible to put the videos on ur ipod, delete them in itunes and ur comp, but have them stay on ur ipod?? i allso would like them to stay there even when i go back to update...because with songs if i delete them from my itunes list they delete from my ipod when i update..

You have to change your ipod/itunes settings. When you ipod is connected click the ipod button on he bottom right corner of itunes. Look through the settings and make sure you have checked "manually update" your ipod. If you do this then when you connect your ipod back to your computer you can choose when goes on and off and nothing will be automatically be deleted.
Hope this Helps!

  • How do you delete artist on ipod after deleted from itunes

I've deleted all artists from ITunes but they still appear on my Ipod

There's a couple of ways you can do it. If the iPod is plugged into iTunes go to iTunes in the source pane on the left expand the arrow songs or (music) and it will show a list of all songs currently on the iPod. You can then delete from that list there or you can delete it right off from your iPod by swiping across the song until you see a delete button come up and then hit delele and then it should be gone.

  • Music on iPod but deleted from iTunes Library

Hello, please help... I have accidently deleted 36GB of music from my external hard drive although currently the music is on my iPod (classic). I do have all the DVD's and CD's but do not want to download them all again. Is there anyway I can download the music that is on my iPod back to my PC or external hard drive? I am terrified of plugging my iPod back into my PC (which is showing an empty library) for fear that the music will also get deleted from my iPod.
Also, reason this happened is that everytime I added music to external hard drive - and then "Add folder to Library" - I would end up with duplicates showing in my iTunes Library.

If your iPod is set to update automatically you need to take care connecting to an empty iTunes. You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys together. This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer: iTunes - Keyboard Shortcuts for Windows
When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that way you can continue to use your iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone

Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you only want to copy your purchases to the computer that can be done using iTunes, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (including purchases) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. I use Senuti but have a look at the web pages and documentation for the others too. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here (you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well):

iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.

  • Is it possible to put videos in slow motion?

Is it possible to put videos in slow motion?

Yes, probably the easiest method is to use the Time Stretch Tool and just lengthen the Duration of the Clip. Or Rt-click and choose Time Stretch to do this numerically.

  • Is it possible to copy photos into iPod-Touch(4Gen) from PC(Win7) ?

Is it possible to copy photos into iPod-Touch(4Gen) from PC(Win7) ?
    Thks.

No, you use iTunes on either a PC or a Mac as the Apple article says in the link I supplied in my previous post.

    Thk you for the reply.
I assume that the "syncing" you're talking about is an iPhoto/Mac feature.
Unfortunately, I'm working on a PC(Windows7), and I can't find any of this in my PC iTunes.
    Could you confirm ?
    Thks in advance

! just got a new docking system so i plugged it in to my computer because it wasnt the wall charge type, so I put in my ipod, then straight away my screen went white and now its not doing anything! i press the home and lock button nothing happens... then i plug it in my computer it doesnt come up in itunes or even the copmuter. please help i can not live with out my ipod!

Your post is abit confusing, especially on getting those weird messages and emails,( assumed in your Windows machine.)
Most likely you have Restored the iPod using the new Macbook pro, using the same name as that in your Windows machine, hence the duplicate name warning, as it is trying to sync Automatically.
If you are syncing your iPod to both the Mac and Windows, you must set it to Manually Manage Music, in the first machine that you setup iTunes with the iPod. Read thsi Apple Support Article
In iTunes, Preference, tick on Prevent devices syncing automatically
Hopefully your music are still in both your iTunes library,
Connect the iPod to the Mac
Restore it (just to fix any filesystem corruption by the Windows end)
Set it to Manually Manage Music
Sync your selected songs in your library.
    Whern sync complete, Eject it
Connect it to your Windows PC.
Select the song in the library
    Sync it.
It should work if your ipod Hardisk is not giving any problem.
    Good luck!

  • Ipod wont update from itunes

my ipod was not updating with new songs i had downloaded. it would just say ipod updated and nothing happened. so i wiped it clean using the restore function to start from scratch and i am getting the same situation. it won't update any songs now and just says ipod updated. not sure what to do. anyone have any advice?

    Hello,
Go to "Edit> preferences> iPod" and set your option for "manual".
Now, go to your iTunes library, and select what songs you want to put on your iPod, then drag-and-drop them into the name of your iPod in the left source area in iTunes.
You may want to simply manually manage your music like this, dragging the songs from the library, and simply dropping them to your iPod. This might avoid the kind of issues you were having.

  • Can i retrieve a video that i accidentally deleted from my phone?

is it possible to retrieve a video that I accidentally deleted from my iphone 4s?  Its a video I took myself.

Only way is to restore from your backup, if that video was included in that backup.

I want to import songs frm my Ipod to my itunes library.  Songs were ripped from CDs to the ipod not purchased from itunes store...how can this be done?

You would have to let itunes rip the songs from the cd's, or you would have to copy the music from the computer which ripped cd's.
iTunes does not support transferring music from the ipod unless it was purchased from the store.

  • I cant update ipod to I0S5 from Itunes always saying that its timed out

Disabling the computer's security software during the download and update usually resolves that error.

  • IPod becomes 'unsynced' from iTunes

I have a 160GB iPod classic which is completely full of music I have manually selected. Every once in a while, the iPod seems to become 'unsynced' from my iTunes. I plug it in, and the 'Sync Music' box on the Music tab is unchecked, and checking it prompts me to remove all the content from the iPod and sync it again, believing the iPod to be synced to another iTunes library. The iPod is never plugged into anything except this laptop, and I have only one iTunes library thereon. I am hoping to know either:
    a) How to fix this so that iTunes 're-recognises' the iPod, or
    b) How to back up the long, long list of albums I have selected by hand to go on the iPod, as this process usually takes about six hours. I would be happy to erase and sync if I could somehow retrieve and replace the list of synced albums from the iPod itself, or from iTunes if it holds on to that information.
I realise that I really should have, after the first or second time this happened, made a playlist containing all the music I wanted to sync, to or from which I could add or remove albums easily. Stitch in time, etc. Apologies if this has been covered before. Searching returns mountains and mountains of irrelevant results. Thanks in advance.

    Hello Love Muffin,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Have you tried a simple reset of the iPod? To do this, press and hold the Center and Menu buttons together until the Apple logo appears. Make sure to do this, with the iPod still connected.
    Does that do any good?
