Is it possible to rearrage the order of photos in an album

I've now succeeded in uploading my photos into separate albums, but even though I named the photos in each album as 1.jpg, 2.jpg, etc., they still do not appear in the order that I want them. Is there some way to get these photos in the order I want them in?

Wow! Apple's suggested solution for Windows XP users is "unusual".
So from that, I guess, if I want my five pound note to look like a fifty pound note, I simply change the information on the paper!
Their solution to this issue is even more unbelieveable when I noticed that previous versions of iOS sorted by filename. Still, it gave me my first laugh of the day, I'm off to re-write history...

    Hi
I've just upgraded my ipad mini to IOS 8.1.  I want to create a slideshow in Photo (iPhoto no longer supported) but can't find how to change the order of photos within an album.  Has anyone any suggestions/ideas ?

Open the album. Tap select. Hold your finger on the photo till it enlarges then slide it to it's new position. Tap done when you're finished.

  • How can I keep the order of photos in an album when I upload it to Flickr?

When I share an iPhoto album on Flickr, the order of the photos in my album is lost. Apparently Flickr uses the photo date, but that defeats all the manual arranging I have done in my album. How can I preseve the photo order on upload?
Also, the description of each uploaded photo appears in small print and not in the main Flickr label box. This means the description cannot be seen if a photo is viewed in full screen mode. How can I automatically transfer the iPhoto descriptions to the main Flickr label boxes?
Is there a better way to share iPhoto albums on the Web (Picasso)?

I'm glad you found a solution
For for others and you in the future it is important to understand
Albums are a way to VIEW photos in your desired order within iPhoto - the photos do not have any order (in fact they are in files scattered essentially randomly accross your hard drive)
When you move the out of iPhotoand view them in another program that program determines teh order they are viewed in
An easy to see an example is the finder - files exported from iPhoto and viewed via the finder can be viewed in many different sort orders including name, date created, date modified, size, kind and label - none of these have any relation to the order the photos were in the album UNLESS you cause that to happen (like by exporting using sequential file names so teh finder name sort matched the album order) - the order you see photos in is totally determined by the program you are using to view them - if you understand how it views them then you may be able to export them so that the destination program view martches the iPhoto view
To make suggestions to Apple re exporting to Flickr (or any other outsidside service) -  iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback - and to make suggestiont to thrid party suppliers like the Picasa export plugin contact the developer of that plugin

  • How to reorganize order of photos in an album on iphone 4s. ios7.1.2.  When I synced photos from an album on my computer, the order of photos on my iphone was our of order.

How can I reorganize the order of photos in an album on my iphone 4s, ios7.1.2.  When I synced an album from my computer to my iphone, the photos are not in the same order as on my computer.  I want the photos  in a particular order, not in the order I added them to my computer.

I have one album of several that are synced from my computer that I needed to have in a specific order. I finally accomplished that by naming the photos alphabetically in the order I wanted them (I didn't have many and simply placed an "a" in front of the first, "b" in the second etc). I did this on the computer and then synced them again. Note that each time you sync via iTunes, the non-Camera Roll photos on the phone will be set to match the current iTunes selection/settings so you can repeat several times if needed before you get it right.

  • IPhoto 08: Change the order of photos in an event?

    Greetings,
I can change the order of photos in an album, but cannot seem to figure out how to change the order of photos in an event. Any suggestions?
Thank you for any help you can provide.

Only way is to change the date and time of the photo (photo menu ==> adjust date and time)
they can currently be manually moved - they stay in date-time sequence

  • Can you change order of photos wihin an album?

Can you change the order of photos within an album?

Not natively in the iPad Photos app. Synced photo albums must be rearranged on the computer and then synced again. Camera roll photos can not be rearranged either. There are third party apps that allow you rearrange photos.
Look at Photo Sort for the iPad for one such app.

I'm sure there are others. Just search in the App Store.

What do you mean by "like to see" ? You can WRITE the fields in any order you want. If you want to display the internal table in an ALV you can manipulate the fieldcatalog.
If you want something else other than display the field, you have to explain your req. in detail.

  • ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM - Is it possible to chose the order of line output ?

    Hello,
I use this FM  - ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM, that provide me am output format for address.
    The output is:
    lineo
    line1
    line2
    line3 etc etc
Is it possible to chose the order output ? I mean, first line0, after line1, after line4, after line3, etc etc ??
    Tks.

    Hi,
You can influence the address returned by ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM.  You would need to create and address layout in the customer range (900 to 999) and assign this to the required country in config.  Then use the user exit EXIT_SAPLSADR_001 to apply your own formatting.

  • Related Topics: Is it possible to change the order of topics?

    Hi,
Is it possible to change the order of Related Topics? I need
to change the order of topics (that is, I don't want the topics
    alphabeticized.)
    Thanks,
    FMnRH

    Hi FMnRH
Yes, you may change the order. If you have already inserted
the control, double-click it to edit it. Then click the Topics tab.
Click to select the topic you wish and below that, the area lists
the topic name. The field is labeled "Title". So you click in the
field and prefix the title with 1. or 2. to force the order you
    want.
If you don't wish to prefix, you will have to manually edit
the HTML code. But it is possible.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Can I change the order of photos in Events

I am in the process of scanning my old film photos so that I can put them into iPhoto. As I have no scanner I take them to Wal Mart and scan them onto a CD then import them into iPhoto at home. Because the CD holds the photos from a number of events I then distribute them to a number of different Event folders.
Once I get all the photos into their correct Event folders I would like to rearrange their order. Using drag and drop, or cut and paste, simply leaves the photo in it's original location. If I use the 'Moving photos from one event to another' feature the moved photos will still go into the new Event folder in the same order as they were in the originating folder, regardless of what order I drag or paste them.
The help menu has topics on how to change the order of photos in a slideshow, book or calender, but not an event. I could arrange the photos beforehand so that they are scanned in the order in which I want them to appear in Events, but with 500+ photos in completely random order it will be fairly time consuming. It also will not help with the disc of photos I have already made.
So, to finally get to my question, does anybody know if there is a way to rearrange the order of photos within an Event folder?
    Rgds

Events are strictly time based. If you put those photos in an album and in the order you want, you can set their date and time by using the PHotos->Batch Change->Date and set the date and time you want with the checkbox to add the time differential you'd like between photos. That will reorder them in the Event also.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.≤br>
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • How can I change the order of photos within an event?

iPhoto o9 won't let me change the order of photos within a single event- really annoying! I tried to view photos then click manual sort- but when I look back at the event it is not in the right order. what's wrong? Or can I even do this?

Yes you can do that - IF you go through and assign titles to every photo
You also can change the date/time on photo and iPhoto will then sort them in the new order
And you could assign unique key words to each photo such that the sort order is what you want and sort by key word
But you can not change the order in the sense most people mean - grab a photo and move it to a new location in an event
    So yes you are right
