Is it possible to recover a form that has been inadvertently submitted so the user can continue to finish his input?

We have recently subscribed to Forms Central and are in the process of creating our first form for commercial use. This form is quite long and hence we have enabled the ability for the user to 'Save' the form at any point and return to it. This works fine.
However, in some of our trials, our users have inadvertently hit the 'Submnit' button rather than the 'Save' button, and they then lose access to be able to continue filling in the form.
How do we provide to them the form back again with the data they have filled in to date intact so they can complete it properly??

You will need two variables, it can be booleans. I'll label them v_one and v_two with a default value of 0
Since I don't know how the slides are formatted, do you use a Next button or are all the slide frames visited? You'll need to have an event on those two slides to trigger an action:
Assign v_one with 1     on slide 62
And a similar action on the other slide to toggle v_two (do not use the toggle command, if the user visits a slide twice, it would be toggled back to 0).
You didn't specify where those text containers have to be (please, label your objects and slides)? But you'll need conditional advanced action triggered by another event somewhere:
IF v_one is equal to 1   AND
       v_two is equal to 1
  Show text1
  Show text2

  • Is it possible to recover autofill forms that has been removed

I accidentally clicked remove all (instead of remove 1) in the autofill preference.
Now I have many sites that I can't remember the passwords.
Is it possible to recover web form passwords that has been removed from autofill?
Also I couldn't find them in the keychain. Please Help

Also I couldn't find them in the keychain.
    Open Keychain Access  /Applications/Utilities
    Select Passwords on the left.
Use the search field top right corner of the Keychain Access window to find web site addresses
If you want Safari to "remember" a new password for a site, first make sure User names and passwords is selected in Safari / Preferences - Autofill.
Navigate to a site. Enter the user name and password. When prompted, click Yes. That will create a new keychain for that site for you.

  • Is it possible to recover an email that has been deleted from trash?

I can see the first line of the email in Search iPad but need to retrieve the whole message.

No, not unless you have the email somewhere else as well. It's kind of the same thing with my devices, I delete an iMessage but if I search it in search it pops up, but I can't access it.

  • How do I purchase reader extensions to save a PDF form that has been filled out in Acrobat Reader?

I have just discovered that in order to save a PDF form that has been electronically filled out in Acrobat Reader, that I have to purchase reader extensions to make this possible.  I would like to speak to someone about the price and how to purchase.
I cannot find a phone number on your site, so I am hoping to get an answer from Adobe this way.
    Thanks,
    Chani

Thanks everyone for responding.  I should have supplied more information.
I was hired by my client to create PDF forms that can be downloaded from their website, filled out electronically in Acrobat Reader, and then saved (with all the form fields filled in) and emailed.
I was supplied with scanned forms as the base for creating the form fields in Acrobat Pro.  These web visitors that will be filling out the forms and emailing them will only have Acrobat Reader, most likely.
I created the forms in Acrobat Pro, and they worked great when I tested them ( in Acrobat Pro) - I could save the form field data.  However, my client has come back to me with numerous complaints from their web visitors - they cannot save the form once they have filled it out in Acrobat Reader and keep the data they have entered.  Instead, they have to print the form physically, scan it, and email it that way (kind of low tech for the year 2013, and not easy for these people).
So, my end goal is to update these forms in Acrobat Pro so they can be filled out by folks only using Acrobat Reader and saved with the form field data intact.  Seems like a no-brainer that Acrobat Pro should have this capability without purchasing additional extensions.  However, in my research online, I have found several posts that suggest that purchasing "Reader Extensions" is the only way to enable Acrobat Pro to be able to do this.
Can someone please clarify if I need to buy something to program these forms in Acrobat Pro to enable other people using Acrobat Reader to fill out these forms and save them with the form fields intact?
If I do need to buy something, what is it exactly?  How do I find out clear, consise, specific information about buying it/the cost/the licensing?  I am a sole owner/employee of a graphic design firm and these forms are for my client, which is a locally-owned regional hospital.
If this needs to move to the LiveCycle forum, fine, but I don't really know what that software is and since I'm only using Acrobat Pro (and the users, Acrobat Reader) I felt this was the appropriate place to post.
Thanks for all of your responses!

  • Can a form that has been submitted by an applicant be returned to request further completion?

Can a form that has been submitted be returned to person who submitted it to request further information or maybe to request completeion of additional sections that may have been overlooked?

No,  a response record will be created for each submission. If you need them to complete more fields, you may have to ask them to fill out the form and submit again. The new submission is a new record.
    Thanks,

  • How to unlock macbook pro that has been remote locked from the icloud

how do you unlock the macbook pro that has been remotly locked from the icloud because i forgot my password

This question should NOT be answered. Using Find My Mac to lock one's computer is a personal security measure for those whose Macs have been lost or stolen and may be in the hands of criminals. Publicly posting instructions for defeating that measure would be tantamount to abetting theft.
If you have foolishly locked your own computer and need to unlock it, take it to an Apple Store. Be prepared to prove you are its rightful owner.

  • I have written an ebook that has been created for kindle. How can I export the book into iBooks author?

I have written an ebook that has been created for kindle. How can I export the book into iBooks Author?
I have tried converting the book to different files like, mobi, epub, pdf. By using an app on my iphone.
I still cannot add it to iBooks Author.
    I'm stuck, Please help me!

Either use copy/paste and then format/style as desired, or take it to Pages or WORD and insert chapters - which may still require resettling.
If you're looking for a 1:1 port, with all styles and layout intact, you may be dissapointed, tho.

  • TS1388 I'm trying to install Microsoft Office for Mac 2011. Halfway through the installation process, the MacBook Air tells me that I must quit Safari before the installation can continue. As far as I can tell, Safari is closed but I still get the same me

I'm trying to install Microsoft Office for Mac 2011. Halfway through the installation, the MacBook Air tells me that I must close Safari for the installation to continue. As far as I can tell, Safari IS closed. I can't discover any process that will close it any more than it is now. Installer won't let me shut down or re-start the computer because it (Installer) is still running.
    What am I missing?

The MS installer seems to think Safari is active so try the following...
Right-click on the Safari icon in the Dock and if applicable, select Quit.
    or
Try Utilities > Activity Monitor and look for Safari in the Process Name column.  If present, highlight Safari and then click the Quit Process icon.

  • How to recover safari history that has been cleared

    I have a 2012 iMac running Mavericks OSX 10.9.4 4GB 1333 MHZ
I frequent a social network site that hosts photos, private mail conversations and blog discussions.
I use an app " safari cache explorer" that will very quickly look at the cache files from the browser history and give me the option to view the line items as plain text, web page, or image. The plain text view is not really that readable so I would like any suggestion on how to convert that part to something more useful. The items that can be viewed as web pages are perfect and appear exactly as the did when I was on that webpage.
Here is my problem. If the clear history function has been used in safari that explorer app has nothing to look at and sometimes I need to go back and find a preveiously viewed webpage. I am using time machine to backup to a Seagate backup plus drive and I have read at least several online discussions as well as everything on this community board on how to recover to recover to recover those files. There have been several  highly detailed explinations on how to accomplish this task but not one has worked.
Is it possible to retrive the history.plist, cache plist or whatever is needed to see those web pages from a week or two ago in a manner that they are usable?
If so what are the exact instructions on doing this task. A procedure that actually works would be much appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Safari/History.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Quit the application if it's running. Enter Time Machine and restore the selected item from a snapshot that predates the unwanted changes. Relaunch the application and test.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • How do i recover a document that has been "emptied" from the trash?

I "emptied" my trash, which contained the word document of a file and unfortunately now all i have is the PDF version and I don't want to recreate the entire document.  Any solutions to bring it back? I saw them do it on CSI one time!

With absolutely no guarantees you may find data retrieval software that may allow you to get the document back.  You would have to stop using your MBP imediatly so that the document is not overwritten (which it already may be).  No freebies in this department.
If this is worth big bucks to you, you can employ a data recovery firm that also with no guarantees may be able to recover it.
Time Machine alleviates all such problems.
    Ciao.

  • Is it possible to delete a file that has been backed up?

    Hi,
Before doing a backup with Time Machine, I forgot to tell it NOT to backup a certain file that is fairly large. Now that the backup is complete, this large file is on my external hard drive and is backed up. But I want to delete this file from the backup----is it possible to do this, or am I stuck with it backed up now?
    Thanks!

yes, it's possible. select this file in finder and start TM. click on the "gears" action button in Finder's toolbar and select "delete all backups of this item".

  • I can't remove a bookmark of a form that has been removed from the original database it was on.

Local county website removed a form students use and placed it in another location of its website. I had the form bookmarked in its old location. Now I can't remove the bookmark for the form at its old location. Also, I'm not sure if the old/new location has anything to do with my inability to remove or delete that bookmark.

Would you check the Bookmarks sidebar, and look for there in your groupings, and also do a search on it there. From the location bar use and internal search by not hitting "Enter" and include a space delimited asterisk ("*") to restrict to bookmarks.
The Bookmarks Menu (menu) often lags behind, especially when you have lots of changes.
I don't use the Bookmarks *menu* to look for bookmarks. I like the organization and faster scrolling of the bookmarks sidebar.
Restarting Firefox will probably fix the Bookmarks *menu*
If you want to play with it you can try these, but I don't make a lot of bookmark changes in a session that it would bother me that much.
    * creating a bookmarks backup and then restore it via Bookmarks Library List ("Ctrl+Shift+B") > Import and Backup > Backup --- then restore that backup.

Is it possible to get the iphone in working condition again if it has been submerged in water?

Make sure not to power it on, put it in a bag with rice for a few days; and test it out then, and pray. Really once a device is submerged in water your warrenty is nulled; you can get a replacemen tfor 149$; but this is the only hope you have to see if the device will work afterwards.

  • How do I recover a folder that has been deleted?

Last night I was burning a backup disc with some important files. The disc was corrupt so it didn't burn. The computer then had an alert that said Media was unreliable. Then when I went to close out of the window it said a newer file called documents is available would you like to update. I clicked yes and it was the wrong documents folder. All my files were in a folder named documents on my desktop. Then it said something about my aliases weren't working so I deleted those as well.
Now I can't find anything that was in that folder.
How do I get my original documents folder back?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
It sounds like you should have said no. In the future always backup your data before doing something like that as my FAQ explains:
    http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html
I would shut down your machine, and go out and buy a copy of Prosoft Data Rescue and an external Firewire hard drive big enough to recover your hard drive. There is a chance it may still be able to see the data you deleted.
