Hi.
I'm develping EM plugin with EM 11 extensibility.
Is it possible to auto refresh the home page or report page?
It contains the view data(real time 30 sec page..) select list combo at the matric detail page.
and it is displayed on the right of the top at the database main page

Also, there are enhancements in progress to the extensibility framework which will, in future versions of EM, allow this type of control over chart/table refresh for plugins.

My work involves preparing images for printing lightboxes and window installations. My clients require to pre-approve the photos before printing.
I usually save my files as psd but since the files are very large in this format I usually save another copy as a jpg file that has a much smaller file size. This makes it possible for me to add these to a presentation and and send them to my client.
Is it possible when saving the psd file to have an automatic jpg file saved at the same time? Or do I still have to do this manually?

If you save the document manually as a PSD file in Phtoshop not from within an Action, Script, Plugin or Droplette. You may be able to write a Photoshop that would do as save as Jpeg, And you should be able trigger its execution by setting up a Script Save event using the Script event manager. When You do a manual save the script should be triggered. I wrote may be able to for I have never tried to write that script or set up a Script Manager Save event. I have only use open events.

Hi,
First of all, it's possible to change a report description(title), if that what's you mean. If you want to change a code(name), then indeed you have to copy your report under a new name. To delete the report, first delete it from the report group (via GR52) and then you will be able to delete it.

How to manipulate the browser elements in report page? i.e hiding the field element, hiding entire row, disable or enable a particular cell(or text field) from a row, hiding value in a cell....so on.
i used apex_items to create a report text fields.
I tried to manipulate fields using javascript API's, i cant get to...
how to do this?

i mean i have to enter a particular user name
list of jobs scheduled by him has to be listed
and selecting the unwanted job have to delete all the jobs

Yes. This can be done. Write a delete statement and use it on the table TBTCO.
Note: Any other operations can be done on the tables TBTC*

Refreshing the Content on a JSP page

Hi,
I am developing an application where a JSP page (index.jsp) is displaying some data from the database. There is an HTML form on the JSP page too. When the user fills in the data and clicks submit, he is redirected to a servlet (via form's action)... the servlet inserts the data into the database and the user is redirected back [Response.sendRedirect("index.jsp")] to the original JSP page.
The problem I am facing here is that when the user is back on the original index.jsp page, the newly inserted data is not being displayed on the page. The user MUST refresh the page manually in order to view the new data.
How can I display the new data automatically, without the user refreshing the page?
PS: I have already tried <META HTTP-EQUIV="CACHE-CONTROL" CONTENT="NO-CACHE">... but it is not working...
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for info... Have you got any idea of dynamic updation of JSP page? I have been debugging the problem since 2 days and I have tried various methods but nothing seem to help. I have tried to use meta http-equiv and javascript as well for the refresh but its of no use...
My business logic is pretty simple...

Is it possible to update the underlying table on which a Materialized view is created when some changes in a Materialized view is done.Is this reverse compatibility possible in Materialized View?

If you created the materialized view as UPDATEABLE then changes to it should automatically be relected in the underlying table. If this is not occurring I suggest you check the replication jobs. You probably have a stack of errors in DEFERROR.

You can either use server push or client pull.
Server push:
Server push the changes to client on every certain time interval.
You can make client to subscribe for JMS topic created on server side. Every certain interval, server needs to publish a message and JMS will distribute all the message to the subscribers (clients)
Client pull:
Each client request/inquiry the changes from server on every certain time interval.
You can't use JMS (you can but you must use P2P (queue), which is not recommended in this case).
You can make the client to post HTTP request to get the latest data from server on every certain time interval.

Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) is a mechanism by which applications can communicate and exchange data in Windows.
I have imported data into the excel spreadsheet using DDE built in functions. I am sure it can work with MS Acess as well. If not, then you need to create a 2 step process .. reports -> excel -> access.

Is it possible to keep the outline auto formatting from Pages when copying and pasting that outline to the Presenter Notes on Keynote?

I have been using my iPad for my notes, but I want to start using it as a remote for my macbook. When I copy and paste the notes into the Presenter Notes section of Keynote on the macbook, it unformatted. Any bullet point formatting that I do on my macbook is not showing on my iPad's Remote view Presenter Notes. Is there a way to create consistency here that does not involved formatting each one separately?
