Is it possible to reinstall R&R ?

Hi I wanted to ask if it would be possible after uninstalling R&R to download it again from the internet and have it working normally as it used to (I mean with the blue button functional and all).
I have SL500 TP laptop.

EDIT:
Also, would downloading it and reinstalling it automatically create that small partition on my hard drive that it needs to run ?

  • Is it possible to reinstall Mac OS X Lion on MacBook and then use Time Machine to restore to the previous backup I made before reinstalling Mac OS X Lion?

Is it possible to reinstall Mac OS X Lion on MacBook and then use Time Machine to restore to the previous backup I made before reinstalling Mac OS X Lion?

My MacBook was not normally booting up. It would turn on, make the Apple startup noise, and the bottom loading bar would progress just a little bit, then my MacBook would shut down. I tried rebooting it many times and the same thing would happen, it would just shut down. Then, I read that I can reset the PRAM (by holding Option+Command+P+R after the Apple startup noise comes). That worked, but now I get a screen that asks me to choose one of the 4 options (see:  http://images.macworld.com/images/article/2012/07/lionrecoveryutilities-289404.j pg). I choose Restore From Time Machine Backup, but it progresses to 17.6% and gets stuck there forever. I tried doing it again, and it got stuck at 17.6% again. That is why I am asking if I should just reinstall Lion, then restore a previous backup on the fresh new Lion?

  • Is it possible to reinstall the OSX but not erasing the existing documents?

Is it possible to reinstall the system from my system install disk but keeping(not erasing) the existing documents, programs and other files which are created and saved so far in my MacHD?
My Mac is MacBookPro OSX 10.6
    Thank you all in advance!

Yes, I did too the first time. These improvements creep up on us.
Stephanie, I just responded to another posting of yours with a Time Machine question. Multiple postings divert resources and you may end up with contradictory information.
An install from the (grey) 10.6 disk will not erase your data. However, if you are using a TM backup that will write over everything and current data will be lost.
As I understand your two posts, I suggest install the operating system from the 10.6 disk.
Copy what data you can to your external hard disk.
    Restore from the TM backup.
A restore from the Time Machine backup as I say will delete everything you have and replace it with the backup you select (depends on date). You can then transfer any files you copied to the hard disk if these are needed.

  • Is it possible to reinstall Font Book only?

since I've been having Font Book trouble lately, I wonder if it possible to reinstall Font Book only…

I would recommend against installing an old font management application into 10.5 as the way fonts are handled has changed as OS X has evolved and you may find yourself in even deeper water. If you read Kurt Lang's article as sig suggested in your other post then you must surely have noticed that he states
+"OS X, 10.5 is a bit different. The Multiple Master fonts used by Preview are visible, whereas they are hidden in earlier versions of OS X. Helvetica and Helvetica Neue are now in the /System/Library/Fonts/ folder rather than the global /Library/Fonts/ folder. Courier is no longer a critical system font in Leopard. Also notable is that Leopard comes with OpenType versions of the same named fonts installed by Microsoft Office ....."+
If you want to reinstall FontBook without having to do a complete reinstall then download Pacifist I suggest you then follow Kappy's instructions in this thread in order to reinstall FontBook.
If you don't want to use FontBook then consider investing in Suitcase, FontAgent Pro or FontExplorer X which evolved from the old free Linotype FontExplorer X.

  • E75 - Is it possible to reinstall Nokia Messaging?

I recently removed the sim card from my E75.
For some odd reason, when I re-inserted the sim card, I lost all of my email accounts on the phone.
I have tried to recreate those email accounts, but I can't get the Yahoo accounts to work properly.
They "look" like everything is working properly, but the the phone won't stay connected to the mailbox.
    It connects, then immediately disconnects.
When I try removing the mailbox, and recreating it, the phone tells me that it is already receiving emails for that account - even though the account has been removed from the phone.
And yes, the passwords & everything else were entered correctly.
FYI, my POP email account works fine.
I messaging program seems to be corrupted.
I'd like to reinstall it, if that's possible.

  • Is it possible to reinstall OSX 10.5 without loosing any application that is already installed?

    Hi,
So I have endnote, office installed on my macbook. And it is out of space (6 GB left out of 120 GB). And I can not locate where the space is eaten up. I want to reinstall the OSX without loosing the data and get the space back. Is there any way of doing this? Thank you.

It IS possible by doing an Archive and Install http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1710
BUT be aware that archive and install takes up the most space of any installation of OS X because it saves room for a previous system folder. The 6GB you have free is probably not even big enough to do archive and install. Neil is right find out what's taking up that space and then get rid of or move some files off to external storage.

  • Is it possible to reinstall Tiger (OSX 10.4)?

I'm desperate - Too many things aren't working in Leopard and they're critical eg. Adobe apps and Filemaker Pro 9. I want to go back to using Tiger. Any ideas how to do it and if it's possible?
    Thanks

Sorry I didn't realise how much had already been posted. This is the first time I've had to ask this kind of question as I've had very few probs with my various Macs over the last decade. I wish I'd read first then I'd be on Tiger and happy rather than Leopard with the grim prospect of erasing my entire hard disk and starting over.

  • Is it possible to reinstall iMovie using the Mac AppStore?

Due to a problem, I had to have my HDD replaced. I reinstalled the system but now, I can't update iMovie. Can I delete it and reinstall it via the MAS?

    Hi Jon,
Micro-stepping is a property of the motor amplifier (motor drive) rather than the controller. It sounds like you are using a 3rd party drive, since you have a UMI. You want to check with your motor amplifier documentation to see if it's supported. Usually, there will be dip-switches on the drive that sets the microstep factor.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

  • Is it possible to reinstall the System Preferences without reinstalling Lion?

My System Preferences application works fine, except for the Network panel.  When I try to start Network the system essentially hangs, i.e., I get the spinning color wheel and I can do very little else without large delays.  All other panels work as expected.  I have tried this many times through numerous reboots and power cycles.  the problem first appeared last Saturday when I plugged in an ethernet cable for the first time in several months; ethernet had previously work fine.  So, can I reinstall System Preferences without reinstalling Lion in its entirety?  I have a 2007 Macbook (white) that cannot be upgraded to Mountain Lion.

    Hello All
A while back I made a dmg image copy of our final cut pro install disks as a back up measure.
Well now we need to reinstall and I can't find the orig disks.
How, and can we just drag the dmg files to the desktop and just open them and run?
    Thanx, any advice much appreciated.

  • Is it possible to reinstall Windows without reinstalling Leopard?

When I ran the Boot Camp beta with Tiger, when I removed Windows XP and wanted to reinstall it months later, it wouldn't allow me to partition the hard drive through the Boot Camp Assistant. I went through Disk Untility and it wouldn't fix that problem. I did a reinstall of Tiger and I was able to do the Boot Camp Install. Now that I have Leopard, I installed Windows Vista and I leaning towards going back to XP. Is this problem still lingering or do I have to go through this same process all over again.

Reinstall iTunes normally; it won't affect the library. Back the library up anyway.
