Is it possible to reload CS6 software from disc to a new computer?

I purchased the extended version of Photoshop CS6 when it was first released and installed it on my laptop.
Yesterday, my laptop died and I need to get a new one.  I still have the original discs and registration number
and need to know if I will be able to reinstall the software on the new device.  I am also interested in purchasing
the CC version at some point, but my primary reason for wanting to keep the CS6 is the ability to work offline.
Could someone please let me know what my options are here?  This is my first forum post, so I hope that I will receive
an email when a reply is submitted. ([email protected]) Thank you.

Yes just download the installer you will need your serial number to activate it. You can get that from your Adobe.com account after you sign in use this link https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.html when the server retrives your product click on cs6 to get your serial.  CS6 can be downloaded here Download CS6 products

  • Procedure for installing CS6 upgrade from CS5.5 on new computer

    Hello,
I am running Design Premium CS5.5 which was an upgrade from CS4.  I am buying a new laptop.  Can I install CS6 directly?  Or do I have to install CS4 and then CS5.5 and then CS6?
Do I "deactivate" CS5.5 on the old computer first?
    Thanks!
    Tony

Hi Tony, you  need not to install CS 4 and CS 5.5. You can directly install CS 6 on your new laptop.
It will ask your serial key for CS 6 and then it will ask the serial key for the qualifying product , in this case it will be the serial key for your CS 5.5.
And then it will start the installation.

  • Will it be possible to upgrade the software from LR 4 to LR 6?

I own  LR 3 (full) and LR 4 (upgrade). Will it be possible to upgrade the software from LR 4 to LR 6 directly?

In the past,  the upgrade version of Lr upgraded all versions from v1 onwards, and I see no reason why this should not be true this time, but can make no promises, mainly because I have no connection to Adobe.
So yes, you will probably be able to do as you want.

  • How can I save my music from iPod to a new computer?

Probably this problem got solved already in the past but I could not find help till now. I still use my iPod 30gb Classic from 2005 but the computer with which I made the syncs is broken and I got myself a new one. I wanted to save the music files from iPod to the new computer with iTunes so that I have another backup if this iPod should get broke in the future. But I could not backup the music files, somehow. Anyone has help? Thanks in advance.

How it was originally designed by Apple is you store your music in iTunes on a Mac or a PC. you back up your computer. you add to your library through the computer. you then sync to ipod classic. it was never intended to move music back the other way unless you purchased the music from iTunes store.
If your compuetr breaks you restore iTunes library from computer backup.
in many cases music is reduced in size and quality to 128kbps on sync so backwards sync would lose library quality.
finally, it avoids people illegally sharing music, or stealing music from lost or stolen ipods.
to backwards sync you will need to either get into the risky business of third party software, or find a PC running Linux and Rhythmbox and ask again.  I probably said too much.

  • Moving iTunes Library from iPod mini to new computer (old hard drive dead)

Hi all, I own a 2nd gen (I believe) iPod mini with all of my music from my iTunes library on it. Last weekend, my computer began freezing/crashing while loading my desktop, and a diagnostic confirmed that the read/write head on my hard drive was bad. I don't currently have the spare cash to send it away to a recovery lab, so I am starting from scratch with a new computer I will be ordering today.
My question is this--is it going to be possible to transfer the music from my iPod to my new computer? Many of the songs on my iPod are from other sources, during the years that I was not using iTunes, and from what I have read I will only be able to transfer my purchased music. I know there is a way to make my iPod into a hard drive in order to transfer the music to my new computer, but as I said, I cannot even boot up my old machine, and thus cannot access my iTunes library on my HD.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions and advice you may have.

  • Downloads from iTunes On A New Computer

I have a few (thankkfully) songs downloaded from iTunes that I have legally paid for. I have recently built myself a new computer and transferred all my music from the hard drive in the old computer to the new one. The old computer's hard drive was then refornatted and is now used as a back-up disc in the new computer. This evening I've ripped a couple of new CDs (music I have similarly legally bought) and and updated my iPod, however, I get a message that the tracks I downloaded have not been transferred as they're not authorized on my new computer.
How do I get these tracks transferred?
I understand the rationale behind the restrictions but do Apple expect me to keep the same computer for ever?
For anyone from Apple reading this, I will NEVER download another track from iTunes or any other source until I have the right to transfer that music easily as I do when I buy a CD. Ok, I might have to pay a £ or so extra for a CD but at least I have control of what I've purchased.

You authorize your new system by simply playing a few seconds of one of your purchases to trigger authorization. If it's a cases of moving purchased music to a new system, you can download only once, then you will have to use some type of backup media suchas data CD/DVD's or an EHD to transfer your purchase to your new system, then trigger authorization by playing.

You should probably just download the trial version of pse 12 and see if you can live with it.
Download a free trial or buy Adobe products | Adobe downloads
That being said, have you tried to install pse 1 on your computer?
How much free space is on your hard drive?
Do you have Internet Explorer 10 or 11?
Pse 1 can run on windows 7 x64, provided certain conditions are met.

  • How to import photos into iphoto from backup drive to new computer

2008 "Vintage"  iMac recently died. Data was saved on external hard drive. Purchased new iMac, OS 10.9.4, how to get old iphoto library from hard drive to new computer. Iphoto 9.5.1. Thanks

Data was saved on external hard drive. Purchased new iMac, OS 10.9.4, how to get old iphoto library from hard drive to new computer.
Teresa, in what way way the data saved to an external hard drive?  Do you have a copy of your iPhoto library on that drive? Or is it a clone of your old system drive ? A Time Machine backup?
And which iPhoto version did you have on your old Mac?
If your external drive holds a copy of your iPhoto library, you can simply connect this drive your new mac and drag the library over.  It will depend in the version of your old iPhoto, how you can open the the old library. If it is an iPhoto '09 or '11 library, you can aunch iPhoto with the options key held down and select the library as your new iPhoto library.  If the iPhoto version is older, you will have to ru the iPhoto Library Upgrader first.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer files/docs/pics/music/etc.
Use your backup copy to put everything on the new computer.
If for some reason you have failed to backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from your ipod.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases
