Is it possible to reload Handler files without shuting down OC4J

Is it possible to reload the Handler files in OC4J ?
When a new Handler file is generated by the JAG I need to restart OC4J otherwise I get a Handler not found exception.

Handlers are java-classes so I would say yes.
Classes (including BC4J View and Entity objects) must
be recompiled and your server should be restarted.
Anything XML-related (including UIX) does not immediately
force you to restart OC4J, although the MVC Framework
descriptor-xml should be reloaded by for instance re-
entering the service you changed. This is where those
home-page services become handy.
Note that setting existing BC4J-attributes to (in)visible
or wider/smaller mostly just changes the BC4J Jheadstart
metadata and generates new UIX, so it doesn't change
anything in the java-classes.

If you formatted the entire "C" drive (Format C:\) then you don't need to decrypt them but rather recover them. Recovery is somewhat doubtful but one application you can try is called recuva.

For the hiding, go to the document properties under initial view. You may confuse some folks if there is no file menu to close the file (a lot of folks just can't get the keyboard shortcut, alt-F4, into their head. They are going to look for where to find the file menu to close.

the NI-CAN driver software does not provide functions/VIs to generate
*.ncd files. However the *.ncd file format is just plain XML (ASCII text). Take a
look at the example.ncd file that gets installed with NI-CAN

Thus, you could generate *.ncd files with simple file I/O. Having XML-specific file I/O functions simplifies this task.

Move files without locking down edits

In LightRoom 5 when I try to move image files (or sub-folders) to another folder I get a message that, if I continue, I will not be able to undo any changes made prior to the move. I take this to mean that moving the file will lock down any edits so that I cannot revert back to my unedited RAW file if I wish. Is this correct? If so, is there a way to move the files without locking down current edits?

I think that message is a bit ambiguous and refers to file locations, not edits. In fact if you copy folders first using your computer OS, you can safely update the folder location, without seeing the message and before deleting to tidy up the OS. It’s generally felt to be a safer method – see fig 8 on the attached link. Why not give it a try.

It's all know that if I shutdown the CRS, the CRS daemon will shutdown the database as part of it shutdown procedure.
How can I shutdown the CRS without shuting down the database ?

I have found the solution:
follow steps below:
1) use crs_stop to stop the database resource
2) use srvctl remove to remove the database
3) startup the database
Now the database is not under control of the CRS.
You can later use srvctl add database back to the CRS if you want the CRS manages the database for you.

Since yesterday when I downloaded the Mozilla Firefox upgrade I am unable to exit Firefox at all (no button or tab to select an exit to return to desktop and Safire). To exit Firefox I must press the manual quit button to restart the computer. I need a Firefox exit link out to reenter the Safire browser and desktop without shutting down the computer.

You should see the Firefox menu bar on Mac as that is controlled by the Mac OS and have Firefox > Quit.

A hot (or on-line) backup is a backup performed while the database is open and available for use (read and write activity). Except for Oracle exports, one can only do on-line backups when the database is ARCHIVELOG mode.

Is it possible to add audio files without an image placeholder?

Every time I drag audio onto my webpage, I get the audio controls (play, volume control, the play bar, etc) but I also get an image place holder. Is it possible to just get the audio controls and not have an image placeholder?

Move files without pressing down the trackpad in Lion

I just got my new 13" Macbook Air but can't move files (or windows) by "double clicking and holding" the way I could on my old Macbook Pro. In order to move something I need to press down the trackpad, or use three fingers on it. Did Apple remove this option with Lion or how do I make it work?

If you want to reactivate the classic double-tap-and-drag gesture, it's possible, but the option is well-hidden. Instead of being in System Preferences under Trackpad, it's actually under System Preferences > Universal Access > Mouse and Trackpad > Trackpad Options. Click the check box that says "Dragging" and you should be all set.

Importing audio files without slowing down site?

Being new to mac and iweb, i have found that with my photo gallery web site that when i attach an audio file to play when a certain page is viewed that my site load time is dramatically slowed down.
Anybody know how to speed it up?

With iTunes I suppose you could reduce the bit rate and sample rate to lower the file size but that will reduce the audio quality. You can do the same with more control with Audacity, a free audio editing application. If you take the time to learn how to use an HTML snippet you'll get superior results.

Due to some reasons I can't shutdown appstier bcz every time I have to regenrate JAR files.I want to take RMAN cold database backup with stopping all services or I want to shutdown only concurrent manager(adcmctl stop) and apps listener(adalnctl.sh stop).Please comment if this is workable.

What is your reason? RMAN=hotbackup means you dont need to shutdown db or apps. For our client we never close appstier while we are taking RMAN backup

How to trash a file without move it to the trash?

Hello everybody, I'm new on OS X world. I've a question about the trash procedure.
If I delete a file from USB pendrive (to increase free space) it is moved to the trash icon on the dock.
Until I don't empty the trash, the file still use pendrive space.
It is possible to delete a file without move it to the trash?

It is, but only using a Unix command in the Terminal. This is not a route that I like to recommend, as I've seen people mess up the command and do some real damage.
My first question is, why don't you want to empty the trash? Note that you should not be storing anything in the trash that you are not ready to delete, for many reasons. It's very easy to empty the trash without thinking about it, and nothing that is in the trash gets backed up by Time Machine (or most other backup software). If you want a temporary repository for things you think are trash, make a folder on the desktop for that purpose.
Now, that said, if you still feel the need to do this and are willing to brave the wilds of the Terminal, type "rm" (without the quotes), add a space and drag the file onto the Terminal window. Then hit return to execute the command. That may not work for all files, since some files are actually folders in disguise and the "rm" command will not delete non-empty folders without some additional options. In that case, you do "rm -rf" instead of just "rm"... and hold onto your butt, since that command is extremely dangerous. Mess up the file path you give that command and you could wipe your entire home folder or more.
