I just read your post and wanted to let you know that through my personal experience I recommend you iPad 3 Screen Repair Guide, I like ifixit's stuff, but they always fall short. They just tell you to put it back together the way you took it apart. Unless this is an iPad 3 with Apple Care +, the Apple warranty does not cover accidental damage. Apple will sell you a new iPad at a reduced rate, depending on the model. It can cost as much as US$400+.
Or if you are not concerned about having your Apple warranty you can get a 3rd party repair shop to fix it for much less than the replacement cost.

Sorry, but I cannot tell you what the "best" option would be. You can take the iPad to an authorized Apple service provider and have the iPad replaced. Unless you purchased AppleCare+ for the iPad (I don't know if that plan is offered in the KSA) then you will have to pay Apple's out-of-warranty exchange price. There are independent iPad repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipad repair". Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPad serviced by an unauthorized shop, all further warranty will be void. It is also possible to find parts and do a repair yourself, though you do so completely at your own risk.
It will be up to you to decide which option is best for you.

If you are in America then you can download your past iTunes music purchases via the store (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519). But no, you can't import from flash drives (the camera connection kit can only import photos and videos) or from an iPhone.

Need to turn on ipad screen with air gesture. possible?
Hi. I am helping a disabled person to set up his ipad in the following way: make a gesture above the ipad to turn it on so he can read the screen. Is that possible? I assume the ipad would have to be on all the time but the screen needs to auto dim and then come back to life when an infrared sensor detects a swipe. I assume infrared is the way to go but I guess the built in camera could also be used to turn on the screen when a certain motion is detected. Anyone? thanks
