Is it possible to report on product object?

Hi,
I have used CO7 to create a Product Fulfillment record which is linked to a Product and Account. I tried to create a report and display all fields using "Advanced Custom Objects" area. I was surprised that a product is not there for CO7 (Product Fulfillment) even it is linked to it.
Is there any workaround for this? Will Oracle make this work in the future release?
Thank in advance,
Jurijs.

Thanks for the guidance on this.
So it sounds like I have 2 options:
1.     install 'mrtg' per the instructions you've provided. This will give me near real-time graphs of what is going through my Time Capsule to and from the internet. Do you know if it gives any summary information as well (up and down)? I'm really intererested in seeing total usage over a given time period, or
2.     configure my 2wire to monitor data throughput, I have no issue plugging another computer into this periodically to pick up the stats. If you have any more details on how to configure this I would really appreciate it.
I really don't want to spend more moeny on another router if I can avoid it.
MRTG should give total throughput.. but please note carefully the PC, Mac whatever, has to be on 24/7 to do this. In the end the router, even the Netgear will save you money because it uses 10-20x less power.
Saving money on a router.. to spend it on a hidden power bill is not actually saving you in the long run.. with our power prices going up like crazy it was about a year to pay for itself.. it will be less in the future. When you see what a proper box designed for the job can do, you will never want to go back.
2. 2wire.. yeah what a pain they are.. you need to set it up as a router doing pppoa authentication. Then go to the advanced configuration under /192.168.0.254/mdc and select dmz and direct it to the IP address of the TC wan port. (Please replace the IP above with the correct IP for the 2wire).
The trick then is to set wireless in the 2wire (does it have wireless??) to a different SSID than the TC uses and you can then connect to it quickly and easily via the airport in your mac.. and read the ethernet connection values. That is the easiest way I can think of.

  • CO data extraction:  report table CO object product cost accounting

In <b>R/3</b> I have a report which has been created with the <u>Report Writer</u> (tCode GR31). It uses a <u>library</u> based on the <i>report table CO object product cost accounting</i> (KKBC).
The interesting aspect is that this library contains the <u>characteristic</u> <i>sales order number</i> (KDAUF). Using it as well as other characteristics (<i>cost element</i>, <i>value type</i>, <i>results analysis version</i>), the <u>key figure</u> <i>total costs</i> SWKG has been <u>restricted</u> (in the BI meaning) in a variety of ways, giving several restricted key figures.
I am looking for the corrisponding <u>content objects</u> in <b>BW</b> which could allow obtaining the same result. My issue is that all the objects I've found apparently don't have the detail of <u>0DOC_NUMBER</u>.
After reading the manual page <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/cb/149b3979e90e1be10000000a114084/frameset.htm">InfoCubes in Controlling</a> I've considered the following InfoCubes:
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/64/0a6937adf79120e10000009b38f842/frameset.htm">CO-PC-OBJ: Cost Object Controlling</a> (0PC_C01)
It contains only the data of <u>cost elements</u> linked to <u>production orders</u>. As a consequence, the costs elements linked generically to the <u>customer orders</u> are not present. Please notice that the <u>navigational attribute</u> 0DOC_NUMBER is an attribute of 0PRODORDER.
    <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/33/6db6385443bd7ae10000009b38f8cf/content.htm">CO-OM: Costs and Allocations (Delta Extraction)</a> (0COOM_C02)
It contains all the <u>cost elements</u>, thus also those which are linked to the <u>customer orders</u>. Unfortunately the data are not at the desired level of detail, being aggregated with respect to 0DOC_NUMBER. When a cost element is linked to a production order, the characteristic <i>partner object</i> (0PIOVALUE) contains the <i>production order number</i>. However for those cost elements which are linked to sales documents, the characteristic <i>partner object</i> has no value.
Do you have any idea what <u>DataSource</u> could give me all the data I need, currentrly extracted in R/3 through the KKBC reporting structure?
    Cheers, Davide

    Hello all,
the thread Business Content for Product Cost by Sales Order by Christian J explains the very same problem I'm facing - in a much clearer way. Unfortunately his issue hasn't been completely solved.
Has anyone any idea about it?

  • Prepare templates of the existing reports and data objects.

    Hi,
I'm trying to create templates of the reports and dataobjects created in oracle BAM. I've created some reports on a server and i need the same reports with same dataobjects on other servers. Is there any method to create the template of existing reports and data objects.
    Thanks,
    Rajdeep

    Hi
You will have to export the Data Objects and Repots and import in the other environments using icommand.
TO preserve the report id's you can use option preserveid
and also supposeyou have 1 report which internally calls three other reports you can export the main report using dependencies option with icommand export use dependencies 1 and this will export all ur sub reports with main report..
If u need more help on icommand check this doc

  • Crystal Reports to Business Objects

    Hi Gurus,
Please help me out with your valuable suggestions. Here is my scenario,
Very recently my client implemented Business Objects for their Corporate reporting in place of Crystal Enterprise.
There are about 400+ reports that to be converted in Business Objects. In the phase 1 we planned to convert the High priory reports of about 80 + reports.
Our game plan is to convert CR to Universes and then after using Universes >>>webi reports. Please suggest me whether we are going in the right path.
After analyzing the reports I found like we are using about 65-80 tables over all. Please suggest me, Can I create a single Universe and point the 70 reports to that single Universe or do I need to create a single universe for single crystal report.
Moreover, we are upgrading my back end too. But in future some of the tables, fields may exist or not. As the Back-end is also in the initial phases. So please suggest how to convert the CR to Universe with back-end modification.
As having discussion with client. User have no experience in creating any sort of reporting, All they need is exact the same report in Business Objects.
Please post me your valuable suggestion.

    Hello,
    Here a are few tips:
    - How many different data sources are used?
A Business Objects universe can only point at one data source (there are some workarounds for this). Therefore it's quite important to know how many different data sources are involved.
    - Complexity of reports
When developing complex reports in webi you'll find that you can't always meet the requirements by using standard webi functionality.
In that case you will have to move some of the more complex calculations to the universe. Therefore it's not uncommon for a very complex report to have one universe but in most case a universe will serve multiple webi reports.
    - Ad-hoc reporting.
From reading your post I donu2019t think this is very relevant to you but I mention it anyway.
If users want to use the universe for ad-hoc reporting, always make sure that you give proper business descriptions to the dimension and measure objects.
Also, it's important that you don't try to stuff everything into one universe as this will confuse the business users. Try to divide the universes into the logical business areas i.e. finance, HR, Purchasing etc.
    - Training / Involve the Business
Have you considered training a few web intelligence super users that can help converting some webi reports?
If you involve the Business users at an early stage of the project, the reaction to the change of reporting system will be a lot more positive.
    - Make the reports more intuitive
Instead of simply re-developing all the reports in exactly the same way as they were developed in Crystal look for ways to enhance the usability.
Business Objects has many great features that could help with this i.e. input controls, data tracking, profiles, dynamic recipients etc).
Also, you will find a lot of duplication i.e. multiple version of the same report with different prompts. You should possibly try to consolidate those reports.
    Best regards
    Rim Geurts
EDIT: Like Fritz mentioned, you probably don't need to migrate all of the reports because you can simply migrate you Crytsal report to te new BO environment

  • Reporting on Attachment Object

We have a requirement where we would like to establish a link from CRM-OD reports to certain Service Reports that have been stored on the Google doc server. We initially setup an action link on an Activity Report report to achieve this. But when the report is downloaded to excel, the clickable url (action link) does not interactively lead to the destination.
Each Activity data has a specific Service report associated with it which is hosted on the google doc server. Is there any way by which we could use the Attachment object provided by Oracle to establish a link between the Activity data and the Service Report on Google Doc? Is it possible to Report on the Attachment object?

Is the new field that you added is it a picklist field. If it's picklist it may not get updated till tomorrow even in real time scenario. That's what i have seen

  • J2EE - Reports using Business Objects.

    Hi Friends,
We have a requirement to generate reports in our project using Business Objects v5.1.8.
Some users/Actors will have assess the reports through Webi of business objects and other requirement is to do some selection criteria in web page and once you get the right details, we should be able to generate report directly from web page (Calling .rpt file of Business objects), J2EE application calling business object report. (similar to calling PDF file in browser).
Did any body of you did similar thing and is it possible to do through business objects, I know we can do from crystal reports. Do we need any plug-in ?
I would be grateful, If you have sample code and willing to share.
    Thank You

oh no, you have that as a requirement! :) well, have fun!! (the guy beside me develops our crystal reports stuff all day).

  • Co product object in backflush

    Hi, Experts,
When we backflush with MFBF, we could chose make to order selection,
When we input the Plan order choice, The Sale order line item are pop up.
Actually we are charge to the Sale line item as a Cost object?
Can we link the Production cost collector to a Plan order?
In the SAP standard solutions, we can link PCC to Production order.
Thank you very much and best regards.

    Thanks Rajesh and All,
Thanks a lot for helping me out...
Well i got the clear confirmation from SAP AG on this issue. Please see the details below.
    Update from SAP.
"Thank you for contacting SAP Active Global Support.
Unfortunately the process repetitive manufacturing with product cost collectors does not support co-production
(see also chapter Cost Object Controlling -> Product Cost By Period ->
    Special Requirements in Joint Production).
Therefore the settlement rule won't reflect the apportionment structure to co-products
Therefore any apportionment structure is not taken into account in actual and the cost collectors do not reflect co-products in the settlement rule either.
I have doubts that the co-production can be exactly modeled by utilizing the cost object hierarchy. But it is possible to use the cost object hierarchy to collect actual costs on levels above the material or cost collector level and to distribute them to the according cost collectors or production orders. You could do that but the apportionment structure is not taken into account and you need to have a cost collector/order for each material. Furthermore, if the cost estimates reflect co-production, this might lead to variances in the variance calculation because the plan- and actual values do not match becaause of the co-products in the cost estimate.
I am sorry for the negative answer this time.

  • Is it possible to  add multiples dimension objects in Webi Ranking ?

As per the project requirement we need to convert custom sqls to reporting sql in webi 3.1 sp5 .
Is it possible to  add multiple dimension objects while applying ranking (Webi query panel ).
Or is there any other way to achieve this feature in BO ?
    Regards,
    Pranay

    Hi ,
There is a way if you want to apply ranking within a ranking . Below are the steps:
First on the outer side we can use the Rank feature which is available directly
Then use the Rank Function (=rank ()) and reset your dimension accordingly .
This kind of Ranking is possible.

    Thanks,
    T.Sreekanth.

    Hi,
It will be similar to what you do in normal report.
Here you may create an object instance and then call some method on the object.
    AT LINE-SELECTION.
    create object obj.
    CALL METHOD obj->method1
    IMPORTING
      text = im_text.
    write: im_text.

  • Single Report for production scrap and Movement type 551 scrap

    Hi All,
Can we include the scrap information from production and scrap from movement type 551 into a single BW report?.......My assumption is we cannot include it into a single report coz production scrap will have a different material information and scrap from movement type 551 will have a different material information..please correct me ig i am wrong......
    Regards,
    Shravani

    hello,
you can have a single report by two options
    1. have a variable on movement type.If you choose 551..U will get materials of tht movt type.
also if the select teh movt type for prodcution, it wil display its materials.
    or
    2. U have to place  movt type in the rows.Place movt type and then material in the rows.
Then u will get for each movt type..its corresponding materials. No variable selection needed here.

    Derrick,
I need a bit more information as to what you are trying to achieve, if you are trying to reflect the product revenue on an opty as a report then filter that opty ID in your report URL in the webapplet and it will work. I've done it.
    cheers

  • Is it possible the query in view object is dynamic?

Is it possible the query in view object is dynamic?
Generally, make the column list dynamic.
I think this is related to whether view object can be assembled at runtime based on a dynamic cursor in a procedure?
I ask this because I would like to know how we can use OA framework to simulate crosstab workbook in Discoverer?
Anybody has some clues, please advise.
    Thanks.

    Hi Shay,
Let me tell you briefly... I am sending input as customerId,customerNumber,CustomerName to the web service, if the record is available i am getting the response and i am displaying those records on page as a table. Now when i click a row i need to populate another table with all sale orders of that customer. From webservice datacontrol i have only customer object, I dont have Sales Order Object. For this i need master detail relation. In this case how to proceed. Thats why i am thinking to create a vO and EO object for sales orders table and i want to create view link for this sales order and customers. As i don't have customer VO and EO object to create view link.
