Is it possible to resize the legend box?

I am using Crystal Reports 11.
I created some charts.
I found it was difficult to resize the legend box, e.g. increase the width.
Is it possible to resize the legend box?

The Legend cannot be 're-sized', it can only be 'moved'.

I use the Tools > Annotate > Add Text feature, and when I click away after adding text, it automatically changes the text box size such that the last letter -- or last word -- gets bumped off into an invisible line below it, forcing me to manually adjust every single text box. It is highly annoying when trying to complete PDF forms (e.g. job applications).
It appears to be a glitch, quite honestly, an error resulting from Apple's product design. Has it been fixed in the new operating system (for which they want $30)?

* "Remove the Cookies" from sites that cause problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Under Tools ... Options ... Workspace, there is an option "Display Object Name Tool Tips While Pointing".
Try clearing that.

Is it possible to expand the NOTES box?

Is it possible to expand the NOTES box under the GENERAL tab in Photoshop Elements 13 so the whole text can be read? I was able to in earlier versions.

The only way i see is to expand the whole panel.
That is grab the left edge of the General panel and drag to the left until you can see all the text in the Notes box.

Ah, you had Photoshop 7.0 working, and now it's not. I see that as a separate issue to updating it. I'm not sure why it would ask you to update it.
Do you know whether you have 7.0 or 7.0.1 at this point? You might be able to do a Properties function on Photoshp.exe and see that info.
You could make an attempt to reset Photoshop's preferences to defaults. Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt simultaneously immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be really quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences, which will lead to the establishment of a fresh default set. If it does not prompt you, you haven't been quick enough to get the keys down.
Only other thing that comes to mind is to use Windows System Restore to restore back to a restore point where Photoshop was working, or restore from a backup (you do make backups I hope).
If that fails, and you need to do a fresh install but no longer have the original disk and serial number I'm afraid you may be out of luck. There's no place I know of from which to download a fresh full copy of Photoshop 7.0.

How Do I Resize The Dialog Box???

Help! Does anyone know how to resize the dialog box to fit my screen? I keep trying to "process multiple photos" but I can't see the top or bottom of the box to #1 - actually fill in the info I want to "process" and #2 I can't see the top or bottom to click "OK" "Cancel" or to even try and minimize or resize.
I did do a search of the forums but it didn't pull anything up. I keep having to use Ctrl/alt/Delete and close down the entire program.

Do you have an LCD [flat] screen? If so, it is not wise to use it at any resolution other than it's "native" one.
Most applications [not PSE!!] respond well to Windows settings [video preferences under "appearance" I think] to make text bigger etc.

Is it possible to resize the partitions without losing data?

I have following issue:
I have dual-boot Arch with Windows XP. I created 4 partitions: 40GB XP's system disk (ntfs), 80GB ntfs data disk, 1GB swap and 25GB Linux partition.
But I am running XP so rarely, that it is frustrating, that I have most of my data on ntfs partition... I'd like to wipe out that 80GB ntfs, resize the system ntfs partition up to for example 60GB, and add the remaining 60GB to my linux ext3 partition (because I'm running out of free space recently...).
Has anyone done something like this, and how safe it is (if possible at all)

I just don't have time to reinstall both systems (especially I would not like to install Windows, because I'd rather install Vista from my recovery disk, than hack the XP to work again...), and if some issues are likely to appear, then I'll give it up for now .

It's trivial using gparted, but as with any similar operation, you run the risk of losing data - so you'd better backup.

How do I keep text from distorting whenever I resize the text box in Illustrator?

This has happened to me but that was over two years ago and cannot remember how I fixed it. I did not change any settings. It just happened when I rebooted my computer and opened up the file I am working on. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

What version of Illustrator are you using? Text boxes now have two modes. When you are looking at a selected text box, you should see an arm sticking out on the right side with a small circle at the end of it. Double-clicking on that will change between area type mode, where you can resize the box but not the text, or the other mode (sorry- forgot the official name) where you are changing the look of the type itself when resizing the box.

I know you can do this manually with the selection tool, but is there a button/command that automatically does this in one go?

Try this script. Save the page as .jsx the the "Presets>Scripts" AI folder. When you restart AI it will appear in the "Scripts" menu. Select the text block and run the script.

In Aperture 3 creating a book using Formal theme and in Edit Layout I can move but not resize the image box even though handles appear and the manual says I should be able to. Help image boxt

Can I resize image boxes with the displayed handles as the User Manual suggests I can, when creating a book in Aperture 3 using the Formal Theme (with the beveled mask) and in Edit Layout mode? I can move the box with the yellow guidelines, but those handles will not move to allow me to adjust size. If I delete the box and add a photobox, I can resize, but I loose those nice beveled masks!

Well I tried on my wife's MB and it worked fine, but keeps the same aspect ratio. Nearly there. I tried the local Apple outlet, but they had just taken Aperture off the demo machine .
However, I have discovered that I can use the "right click" option for 'photo aspect ratio' and it will resize the box to accomodate my pictures. By fiddling I can select an alternative ratio and/or picture and change the size of the frame up or down and try to get an appropriate size and ratio, e.g. if I have a small landscape picture, I can pop in a bigger square picture (it gets cropped) then choose a portrait mode (cropped differently) then pop in my landscape picture (still cropped, but bigger size), then use the option 'photo aspect ratio', I get it uncropped and bigger. Not a really satisfactory work around, but better than nothing.
By combining they fiddling with aspect ratios and the pinch/squeeze routine - on the MB (or via Lion and a track pad I assume) - I should get there.
Pity those pesky handles don't work!!

Hi,
If you select a cell in the table that cannot receive data, then the expand to fit will not be available.
However if you select an object that is in the table (like a textfield) then the option of expand to fit should be available.
Try experimenting with the options.

Is it possible to resize the children of a viewstack(coverflow)

I am using a coverflow component which extends a viewstack: http://dougmccune.com/blog/2007/11/03/coverflow-flex-component/
I can add children (canvas with an image) fine by explicity setting the width and height of the canvas. Then i can align the children in the centre of the canvas.
However if i specify a different size of canvas when adding a new child all the previosuly added children become unaligned.
So is there any way to resize the children of a viewstack? Or does anyone have any other solutions?

I don't believe so. Changing the parent container will directly effect the children of that container.

Is it possible to resize the bar ruler in Logic 8?

In Logic 7 I was able to increase the size of the bar ruler, but in Logic 8 this function appears to have been overlooked. With my large monitor, the bar ruler in Logic 8 is TINY and it strains my eyes something awful. Plus, it takes a really steady mouse hand to set the cycle locators or the play head.
Does anyone know of a way to resize the bar ruler? Or do I have to cross my fingers and wait for an update?

I thorouhly agree with you. Resizing the bar ruler was a nice feature that's been overlooked. Moreover clicking on the right or the left of the green cycle locators doesn't not switch it on or off as it used to be in Logic 7. I have to use " / " key to do it now.
And worst thing, L7 and L8 have inverted mouse scrool wheel zooming direction with <cmd>+<opt> on the bar ruler. And no way to configure it.
