Is it possible to "restart" my Creative Rhomba play

Hello!
I have a problem with my Creative Rhomba 256 mb mp3 player! So I wonder if it possible to "restart" my player, so it gets like it was when I bought it or something?

Hi i had almost the same problem last time i posted on this forum...
My MP3 Creative Rhomba 28Mb is not recognized by the PC. It CAN see other things that uses the same USB so it's not the USB thats causing the problem. This is what it says when i start it up :

The mp3 doesn't go to the player menu to listen to music orsomething else it just says the last error abut that Please wait a moment but its waiting forever so it doesnt start up.
I hope i made myself clear what my problem is.

    Jaason,
    Thanks! This work for me.
It is recommended that you download and install the latest firmware first if possible. The latest firmware update added a recovery option for your player. After you have successfully installed the new <B>firmware</B> (<B>V. .07.</B>), do the following to enter Recovery Mode:
    Turn off your player</LI>
Slide the Hold switch in the direction indicated by an arrow.</LI>
Press and hold both the Volume "+" and "-" buttons.</LI>
While holding the buttons connect the player to the PC via USB cable.</LI>
Use the scroll wheat to select a format option (Full Format vs Quick Format).</LI>
Slide the Hold switch to the right after the player is formatted.</LI>
If your player has <B>firmware version .05</B>, try the following procedure:
Make sure the unit is fully charged.</LI>
Power down the player and disconnect it from the PC.</LI>
Use your thumb to evenly press and hold both the Volume Plus (+)and Minus (-)buttons simultaneously, and then briefly tap the PLAY button.</LI>
The Format Mode appears on the LCD screen, use the Menu Scroller to highlight "Full Format"</LI>
Press and hold (for 2 seconds) the REC button to select Full Format.</LI>
The LCD now displays: Formatting Wait for Check</LI>
After around 0 seconds the LCD instructs you to push the HOLD slider to the ON position.</LI>
    Push HOLD slider to ON.</LI>

  • Is it possible to install the Creative Cloud/Application Manager on a USB?

I tend to use the Applications a lot and it would just be easier to install the creative cloud on my USB rather then the computers I go to, mainly because in order to install it on my school computers, it would require an admin password. So I was wondering if there was a way to possible install both the Creative Cloud Connection, and the application manager (along with apps) on my USB?

    Hi,
Installing it on a USB(external hard drive) will not be a good idea as the products will not work on another computer if you connect this USB to it. In your scenario i will suggest you to use creative cloud packager(CCP) for deployment on other machine.
    details are available on http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/packager/creative-cloud-packager.html
    Thanks

  • The dropdown menu from the Creative Cloud icon on the menu bar keeps giving me the following message: "Download Error" I quit and restarted the creative cloud app to no avail. Running Mavericks on a mid 2011 iMac.

The dropdown menu from the Creative Cloud icon on the menu bar keeps giving me the following message: "Download Error" I quit and restarted the creative cloud app to no avail. Running Mavericks on a mid 2011 iMac.

    Try below steps once
click Gear icon on the top Right corner and Quit Creative Cloud App
Click on Finder and then hold Command + Shift + G keys on your keypad
It will open Go to folder window, type  exactly ~/Library and click on Go
Make sure to open ~/Library not /Library (  there will be two Library folders )
Then open Application Support > Adobe folders
    Trash AAMUpdater and OOBE folders.
Then launch Creative Could and check.

  • Is it possible to restart a download from the amount downloaded previously?

Is it possible to restart a download from the amount downloaded previously?
When I download some lectures from iTunes U, sometimes the link breaks and the download gets interupted. Then when the download is resumed it starts from 0 KB and not from the KB amount that was downloaded when the download was interupted. Is there a way to resume the download from the point it was interrupted?

Well I'm using 9.0.3.1.5 and I STILL have this same problem.
Not sure if location is a factor, but I'm a US resident with a US iTunes account but I spend most of my time in Asia and I know a LOT of folks in India, UAE, etc with it. Everything else in iTunes works perfectly fine, except resuming non-purchased downloads.
On Apple Support I could only find a solution related to Purchased downloads, but not individual unsubscribed podcasts you clicked GET on or free iTunesU content. These still go back to zero with no option to resume only restart.
I mean, every quality download manager for your web browser gives you a consistent experience in resuming almost any download except very few servers on the Internet with specific policies to not allow resumes. If there is no solution just silence, either this is one of those mysterious come-and-go bugs that are hard to replicate or maybe iTunes is conserving bandwidth by discouraging resumes of free content it doesn't make money on. Especially 100MB+ files from folks in places with reliable but slower "3rd world" connections. So I would with a half bitten lip throw an answer your question as NO, it is not possible.
I do hope someone who thinks they have a solution steps in to say Yes, it would make a lot of people very happy.

  • Possible to restart AE within a script?

Is it possible to restart AE from a script rather than simply quit it?  I couldn't find any restart() method, so I thought something like this might work (at least for OSX):
    APP_EXECUTABLE = new File(Folder.appPackage.parent);
    app.quit();
    APP_EXECUTABLE.execute();
    Any pointers?
    Thanks,
    Laz

You can't restart After Effects from an After Effects script. But you can start it from a batch/shell script, as with any other executable.

I recently upgraded to Mavericks from Snow Leopard. Does Snow Leopard still exist on my Mac? If so, is it possible to restart under Snow Leopard in order to run PowerPC apps? If not, is there an OS available in 64 bit that supports PowerPC apps? Mav ***.

The only reason I upgraded to Mavericks was because my Snow Leopard OS was 32 bit, which I was told would support only 4GB of RAM.
That wasn't quite right. You can put in as much RAM as your Mac's hardware supports. The division is in the apps themselves. A 32 bit app can't use more than 4 GB or RAM. A 64 bit app can use much more.
For example, as a 32 bit only version, Photoshop CS3 can't use more 4GB of RAM, no matter how much you actually have installed. CS4 or later can use all the RAM you want to throw at it.

Creative Rhomba mp3 player firmware problem
I have already tried moving the Hold button to the On position. The display Checking System message appears but now after 8+ hours nothing more has happened. I'm sure it shouldn't take this long for a format/resetting to complete.
What can I do to resolve this issue?
    BigWorm

I have a Rhomba 256. One week out of warranty it developed the problem described above. I cannot succesfully reformat as I get a bad block error. Creative support confirm that it is probably a hardware problem. They offered to replace it for half of what it cost originally. This player was treated lovingly and never abused or mishandled. I think it is outrageous that it broke so soon. It is especially upsetting as it was only one week out of warranty.
I refuse to pay to have it fixed or replaced. So, I have decided to upgrade. I researched all makes of player and have decided that I will NEVER buy Creative again. Looking through the forum here, I see so many faults and problems that are more than user incompetence. This, other forums and personal experience confirm to me that there is definitely a lack of robustness in the software and hardware design of Creative players.
I have opted for an iri'ver H320 which, so far, has proved to be excellent in every way. It has features and an ease of use missing in Creative players of the same spec. The iri'ver user forums (http://www.misticri'ver.net/boards/) are extensi've and devote most of their time to dealing with features and learning and not tales of woe due to hardware problems. iri'ver may be a bit more expensi've, but I think it is well worth it.
Goodbye forever,Creative and good luck to all you have bought their players. I hope your experience is better than mine. If you haven't purchased a player yet, my advice is to look to other manufacturers.

  • Is it possible to download just "Creative MediaSource Audio Converter

    Hello everyone.
I was hoping if it possible to download just Creative MediaSource Audio Converter without having to download all of MediaSource. I have MediaSource installed on one PC but I just need Creative MediaSource Audio Converter on the other. Is there a way I can just download Audio Converter or can anyone tell me the required files I need for Audio Converter so I can just .zip them and put them on the other PC.
    Thankyou.

Nope; but that doesn't mean you can't install MediaSource anyway, and just use Audio Converter. I've got gobs of rippers on my PC; that doesn't mean I actually have to use them all.

  • Creative Rhomba Firmware Problem / Won't Conn

My 28MB Creative Rhomba, which I received for free with my PC in December 2004 and has been working fine until now, suddenly stopped working without my notice. I was charging it this afternoon and transferred some files to it, then removed the transfer cord a while after that and neglected to verify its working state. When I turned it on, I received an apparently common error telling me to download firmware among other undecipherable things. I downloaded the firmware but my PC and the firmware executable can't detect my player. When I plug it in, it turns itself on like it used to but my PC doesn't recognize it as a new dri've. Because of that, not only can I not install the firmware but I also cannot format the player as seems to be the typical repair procedure. After searching through the knowledge base, this forum, and briefly the rest of the internet, I have discovered no suitable alternati've method of restoration. Any help would, hypothetically, be appreciated.

    chloroform42,
Have you try the Format steps as mention in the Knowledgebase?

  • Use of two Creative MP3-Play

    Hello community,
is it possible to use two Creative MP3-Players (Zen touch(20GB) + Zen micro) on one PC? I don't want to upload the same music on both players.
    Thanks for your Answers!
P.S.: Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Germany
edit: I want to use the automatic actualisation for the files and this is only possible with the "Creative MediaSource Organizer". Is there the possibility to have different profiles for the two players?Message Edited by GoldenEi on 04-3-2006 02:26 AM

I have a Zen Touch and a Creative Muvo and you can connnect them both at the same time on media source. I have no problems with it. As long as you have the latest version for the micro I can't see a problem.
