Is it possible to restore deleted events?

Is it possible to delete calendar events to some kind of trash folder which allows me to restore event if I accidentally deleted it?
As a workaround I currenlty use separate so called "Trash" calendar, but it is not always convenient.
Two examples follow when "Trash" calendar is not conventient:
Example 1. I want to delete event in advance which has notification set up. Deleted event to "Trash" calendar will emit notification, which is not what I expect.
Example 2. Deleting one event from recurrent event series. "Trash calendar does not work at all.
I use iCloud Calendar on Mac OS X and iOS devices.

No, unfortunately once you delete a backup you can't get it back.

Is it possible to restore deleted messages?

    Hello there, Sensersix.
The following Knowledge Base article goes over the process of how to restore an iOS device:

Keep in mind the messages that will restore will only be as recent as the backup itself.

We call that app "Ex-Girlfriend Who Still Has the Passcode to Your Phone".  Seriously, though, unless your phone has been jailbroken, not, it's not possible.
Actually, there are now claims that it is possible, at least in theory:

Whether such an app could slip by Apple's controls over the iTunes Store is an open question.

  • Is it possible to restore deleted Applications?

    Quick question,
If I were to delete certain default applications (ex. iWeb, iSync) that I just don't use, would I be able to restore them from the OS X install disc without doing a complete re-installation of Leopard?

    Arch Riker wrote:
In the last day or so the website macfixit.com had a blurb on this subject. They strongly suggest NOT deleting any of these applications, even though you never use them. Their reason is that even though you are not using them, they are part of something larger. There is a good chance that the applications you do use rely on libraries found in the applications you want to ditch.
Those are very good points for not removing apps. I would add that often a combo update fixes bugs in existing system apps and if the app is not present, it is not possible to predict what might happen. Most updates presume a complete system is installed.

  • HT6196 Restoring deleted event in IMovie

I accidently hit the x at the top of box with my movie clips and deleted all I had done. Is there a way to restore my work?

    Hello xoxoyazyxoxo,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To delete an iMovie event please follow the steps below.
Delete movies, trailers, clips, and events
You can delete unwanted movies, trailers, and clips from an event, and you can delete an entire event in order to free up space on your hard disk.
If you don’t see the Libraries list, click the Show button on the left side of the toolbar.
In the Libraries list, select the event you want to delete, or select the event that contains the items you want to delete.
In the browser, select the movies, trailers, or clips you want to delete.Tip:  To select multiple items, hold down the Command key as you click the items you want to select, or drag a selection rectangle around the items.
Choose File > Move to Trash. If a clip you’re deleting is in use anywhere else in your library, the clip is not deleted.

  • Is it possible to restore deleted photos on the S5?

I accidently deleted a folder of photos (instead of an individual one) from the SD card.  Is there a way to recover them?

    Bill Moyer,
(Any relation to the Bill Moyer that had a PBS series with Joseph Campbell - The Power of Myth?)...
The important thing if you are going to try one of these repair approaches is to avoid any writes to the SD Card. Remove it, and put another in it's place until you attempt to recover the deleted files.
My understanding is that when files are deleted, the filesystem marks a special area to say the space is available. If nothing writes over that space, data recovery (partial, possibly full) is possible. If writes to the SD Card occur, the data loss may be irreversable...
    Good luck.

  • Is it possible to restore deleted browsing history?

I deleted my browsing history without realizing it would delete saved passwords. Now I cannot access my account on a certain website. Is it possible to recover my history, and will that get back my passwords?

Passwords are not stored in the browsing history. If you delete your passwords, history or cookies it is not possible to recover them.

  • Is there any way possible to restore deleted text messages or even get paper copies of them?

I accidentally deleted all of my messages to my boyfriend.  My icloud says I have never backed up my phone.  Is there any way possible for me to retrieve the deleted texts or somehow receive a printed copy of them?  They are very special to me as he is in the military and I don't want to lose them all.  I'm so upset.  Thinking of ditching Apple altogether.

If you did not back up the messages, they are gone. This would be true regardless of what brand of phone you have.
I don't understand what you mean about paper copies. Unless you printed out the messages, there would be no paper versions at all.

  • Possible to restore deleted pages docs from iCloud

my son deleted several icloud backup apps on his divice to make more space, it somehow was all connected and deleted my business data from pages and numbers on my compiuter and ipad
ive tried restoring but ther data hasnt come back

Yes, the deleted docs can be recovered if you have edited the iCloud file with Pages on your Mac and have synched your Mac with a Time Machine before.
I have just mistakenly deleted some iCloud Keynote docs on my iPad and they were erased on all my devices. But I managed to find out the cache location and copied the files from a Time Machine folder(please refer to the picture I upload).
The folder is hidden, so you first need the Mac to show all the hidden files and then try my method.

It is impossible to remove the preinstalled apps.
Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and see if restrictions are enabled. If so you may disabled content.
Swipe from screen to screen and look for the app - you cannot delete it.

is it possible to restore a single deleted note from a time machine backup?  If so how?

    Hi James,
I was able to use VI server to invoke LV 6.1 VI's using LV 7.0 without issue.
After discovering this and mentioning it in a post somewhere, Rolf Kalbermatter indicated that was expected. and I should not be suprised.
    So....
    Vi Server may help you.

Do you know if the LabVIEW developers can/will create a way to overcome this problem rather than having to convert a VI through all the intermediate versions?
To the best of knowledge NO.
For each versino of LV there isw code included that runs behind the scenes when you open a VI from an earleir version which replaces old functions with the new versions. This is called Mutation code. To accomplish its task it has to know everything that changed between version X and Y. Since it is possible to baby step the versions up and the number of user that jump multiple major versions is small, I don't think any effort will go into that work.
THe largest attachment I have managed to upload was 3 or 4 Meg.
    Just trying to help,

  • How can I restore deleted iCal events without removing current events?

I have just discovered that iCal on my Laptop has been deleting events older than 30 days (as per the default), even though it's supposed to be syncing via MobileMe with my iMac which has this disabled.
I have made backups and exports from iCal in the past. The former, iCal backup files, will apparently overwrite the whole calendar and restore it back to that point in time, which is surely rather useless? If there's a way to use one of these files without deleting new events, then please let me know.
I did import a previous export taken in August 2007, but that still leaves a large gap.
I have also been backing my iMac up in TimeMachine for the past year - is there a way to restore my Calendar this way without reverting new events?

    Hi crcamp1,
If you have multiple backups, your previous backup may still be available.  Details are found in this article.
Create and delete iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups in iTunes - Apple Support
    Where your backups are stored
The folder where your backup data is stored depends on your computer's operating system. Make sure the backup folder is included in your data-backup routine. iTunes places the backup files in these places:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
The "~" represents your Home folder. If you don't see Library in your Home folder, hold Option and click the Go menu.
    Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then press Return.
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, then choose Run. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then click OK.
Restoring is further discussed at the bottom of this article.
