Is it possible to restore Ipod touch to a backup from a month ago?

Help, I am no computer wiz and have managed to attempt to update my software and whipped out my music library.  In the process the system backed up so the current backups are blank.  Is there a way to restore a back up from a few months ago that I know contained everything?

I still think there may be a way to restore a prior backup somehow as the manual (Appendix A support and other information  page 215) for the Ipod touch says that the "previous data is no longer accessible through ipod touch user interface , but is isn't erased from ipod touch." It also makes refercence to "if you choose and old backup" but I can't find anything on getting to older backups. Any ideas anyone?

  • Restoring IPod Touch 3rd Generation Backup Onto 4th Generation Backup.

Now that I am getting a 4th Generation Touch to replace my three year and a half year old 3rd Generation Touch, I previously backed up my 3rd gen iPod which ran iOS 5.1.1. Am I able to sucessfully put this backup onto the 4th generation? And if so, will it make the 4th gen run iOS 5.1.1 or will it run iOS 6.1.6, the current iOS for that device.

When you restore an iOS device either to factry settings or from any backup, the retored iPod will have the latest iOS version for that model iPod. When you restore youyr 4G for the backup of the 3g the retored 4G will hae iOS 6.1.6

  • How Do I Restore A Replacement iPod Touch With the Backup From A Previous iPod Touch?

I recently received a replacement iPod Touch because of hardware issues with my previous one. I managed to back up my last iPod Touch with iCloud, I also recall using iCloud to restore it from backup after I first updated to iOS 5. All I'm looking to do is to restore everything exactly as it was (app data etc) on my last iPod before I had it replaced. Yet, when I attempt to restore it from back up, it restores with the wrong back up.

See if the lnk given here helps:

my ipod touch has a shattered screen. i do not have insurance on it so what will the apple store do?

The will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99, $149 or $199 depending upon the capacity. A third-party place like the following may be less expensive:

  • Just restored backup from a month ago by accident is there anyway I can get all my stuff back ? I don't have iCloud ?

BBasically what I've done is the question

I'm not sure about older versions, but in Pages 3.x (OS X 10.9.x) select File > Revert To > Browse All Versions.  Hopefully there will be an earlier version that you can "revert to".

I had one game permanently just stop working, it usually does crash, but that last time it just went bad, I don't know the reason, I tried powering off iPod, relaunching game, but the game never worked again. I think it corrupted its own save file or some of its own data.
Have you tried another game or app, do those work? If they do, then I guess you know where the problem lies, but if they all stop working, then what about apps, can apps launch?
Lastly, apps from the app store are checked by Apple, so they are clean.
