Please give some infomation about that
Thanks
hlthanh,
would you like to restrict particular users or all users as a whole?
["Managing Oracle Beehive E-mail Components"|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E16671_01/bh.200/e16648/email.htm#BABBIFII] has details on configuration options.
Most installations will consider fronting a postfix or sendmail MTA, adding further control options.

Exchange 2010 does not send mail outside the organization
Hi,
I have an issue with my Exchange 2010 server and the issue is that I cannot send messages outside the organization. There are lot of posts regarding this issue, but in my case the issue is a little bit different and I didn't find an answer. There is properly
configured send connector, DNS records are OK, external domain is properly configured, all Exchange services are started. The server is running on VM with 4 virtual CPUs, 32GB of RAM. When I send a message to ouside domain the message is not delivered.
I have enabled protocol logging (SMTP logging) and there are no records in the log. What I found is that when I reboot the server, immediately after restart I am able to send an email to outside domain, few minutes later the messages, addressed to the
same outside domain are not being delivered.
The VM is created on LUN, presented from storage Fujitsu Eternus DX90S2, communication between the storage and the host is through iSCSI, all the disks on the storage are 2TB, SATA, 7200rpm.
I can't explain to myself what is going on.No, unfortunately I do not receive NDR, the queue is empty as well. However, I am receiving a message from Exchange and it states that the message, sent to external domain is not yet delivered and the server will continue to try to deliver it, there is no
reason specified for delaying. The message is:
Generating Server: exchange.domain.local

Is Exchange 2013 server added in the firewall rule to send communication over port 25?
Do you have use Front end proxy checkbox checked on the Send connector to internet that was created on 2013 (if created)?
If use front end proxy checkbox is checked, then you need to add permissions for your CAS server's IP in the Firewall for outbound port 25 rule. As it appears that the mail is originating from CAS to the firewall. If that checkbox is not checked, we need
to add the Mailbox server's IP on the outbound rule for port 25. -

Restricting what users can send mail to off-site destinations
How can i restrict what users can and can not send mail outside mi local domain ?? Without editing postfix ??
TxWithout editing postfix? pretty much impossible.
Anything you do is going to change posftix's confguration, and you're asking for options beyond Apple's Server Admin GUI, therefore you going to have to do some under-the-hood tweaking of postfix.
(just to be pedantic, using Server Admin ultimately edits postfix's configuration files, so what's your reluctance here?)
As for your request, there are so many ways of implementing this. The 'right' option depends on more details than you've specified. For example, how are you determining which users can/cannot send outside mail? Is it a fairly static list, or does it change frequently?
The only option that comes close to not editing postfix is authentication. By default, only authenticated users can send outgoing mail, but anyone can send mail to a local address on the server, so that gives you a simple approach - have the permitted users configure their mail client with a username and password for SMTP, and have the non-permitted users leave the SMTP username/password empty.
That's hardly foolproof, though - if any 'non-permitted' user enters their username and password they automatically fall into the 'permitted' group. That may or may not be sufficient for your need.
There are other options, though, including IP address range checking, a permitted senders list, port options, and more. It's just a matter of how much you want to tweak postfix's configuration. -
Is it possible to restrict printing via e-mail to one or a few domains?
Regarding HP ePrinting
Per default any emails will be printed, it is possible to restrict to certain e-mail addresses
Is it possible to restrict print per e-mail to a domain or a few domains, to get a better security and a more simple administration?
example:
e-mail addresses: [email protected], [email protected] ... etc.
Rule in HP ePrint: *@mymaildomain.comHi,
It is possible to restrict printing for allowed senders only,
You will have to add any email you would like to allow accessing, adding a bulk domain nake is not possible..
ePrintCenter lets you control who can e-mail print jobs to your HP product from mobile or network connected devices. Follow these steps set your ePrint-enabled product to receive print jobs from allowed senders only.
Log into your ePrintCenter account at HP ePrintCenter .
On the ePrintCenter Printers page, click ePrint Settings . The ePrint Settings window opens.
On the Allowed Senders tab, select Allowed Senders Only , and then click Save .
Type an allowed sender's email address in the dialog box, and then click Add Email . The email address is added to the Allowed Email Addresses list.
NOTE:You may specify up to 500 e-mail addresses allowed to send print jobs to your product. Your HP product ignores e-mail from addresses not on your allowed senders list.
(Optional ). To send a confirmation email to the sender after the ePrint job prints successfully, select the check box next to the email address in the Email job status column.
NOTE:To remove an email address from the Allowed Email Addresses list, click the X next to the email address in the Remove column.
Say thanks by clicking the Kudos thumb up in the post.

We purchased a new iPad2 and registered it using a 'new' iCloud email/ID. We are unable to send email from the iPad and iPhone. The error is:>> Cannot send mail. The user name or password for iCloud is incorrect.
About ~20 hours later, this ended up solving itself. We can send email using the '.icloud' email from both the iPad and iPhone. Advise would be 'wait' before you start seeking alteranatives like yahoo, hotmail, etc. This definitely is a convenient way to keep all your 'cloud' information in a centralized place, including the common email...

How can i insure that job finished and good and send mail to the user ?
how can i insure that job finished and good ,
and how can i send mail to the user "ok" ?Hi Dakota. We do something simular with our nightly MRP job. Our MRP job runs around midnight, then we kick off another job about 4am which checks to see if any of the jobs in question have abended, if so, then it sends an email to the email addresses specify in the report variant. Of course, this could be modified to check for successfully complete jobs, if that is your requirement.

How to prevent other users to send mails from SAP?
Hi,
Our test system is a copy of the prod. We could not deactivate the mail job because it is also used by solution manager. So how can we prevent other users to send mails from SAP?
thanks,
krbasHi K Bas,
Then I will suggest trying this option out. In SCOT select the node for SMTP (depending on if you are using standard SAP node). Double click and a push button will come Now in the pop you will have option for Internet with a push button SET besides. Please go there. In the next screen you will find a filed for Address area. Now in this field give the value as *.sap.com
Using address area you can decide to which e-mail addresses is the mail sent to. Since the OSS message will go to <abc>@sap.com that is why I have suggested to use *.sap.com
I mean if you want that mails should be sent via SAP only yahoo mail accounts then you will give value as *.yahoo.com only. Same thing needs to be applied for SAP.
Try this out and let me know.
Please award points if solved.
Regards.

Can't send e-mails to personal e-mail account outside the company
Hello
I'm trying to use UTL_SMTP package to send e-mails to users either by pressing a button, or deployed by a trigger. I'm using procedure Send_mail to do it but encountered a problem:
if it's a company e-mail address, it works fine - although i haven't been able to put more than 2 recipients at the same time (ORA-29279: SMTP permanent error: 501 5.1.3 Invalid address). if it's a personal account, it returns error ORA-29278: SMTP transient error: 421 Service not available.
At this point, procedure's parameters are all static.
I've tried using procedure Send of UTL_MAIL package but, having also static parameters, when sending to a personal account outside the company it also returns error ORA-29278.
What am i doing wrong?
Many thanks for your replies!I forgot to pass port 26 as a parameter in UTL_SMTP package.

Problem in sending mail with the given code

Some SMTP servers require a username and password authentication before you
can use their Server for Sending mail. This is most common with couple
of ISP's who provide SMTP Address to Send Mail.
This Program gives any example on how to do SMTP Authentication

it can be used in any your code for free.

SMTP_AUTH_PWD -- Has your SMTP Authentication Password
Next change values for fields

emailSubjectTxt -- Subject for email
emailFromAddress -- Email Address whose name will appears as "from" address
Next change value for "emailList".

I am not able to send mail using the above given codes. Can anyone please help?
Rony
Edited by: RonyFederer on Aug 10, 2008 9:04 PMYour first step is to diagnose the problem.
1. Does the code compile? If not, what error messages appear?
2. Does the code run? If not, what error messages appear? What's in the stack trace?
3. Does the code do what you expect it to do? If not, what are the differences? -
GWIA not sending mail to the internet
Let me start out saying that i have no experience with Novell products. I am a person starting a local business and in need for a email server. I have chosen GroupWise 8 for many different reasons. I have Windows Server 2003. GroupWise 8 has been deployed successfully. I am able to receive emails from the internet, but not send emails to the internet. I ether get a error 450 or 550 error. Thats all on the GWIA. I have made a route.cfg. I have no idea if I have the correct IP address of the domain I'm trying to send email to(E.G gmail.com) How could I find out the IP Address of a email domain so I could put in the route.cfg file? I tried doing the ping but no luck. I have everything setup correcly on the domain register side. So, could some please describe what those error codes above mean and how this problem could be fix. Any kind of help will be appreciated. Once again, i have not experience with GroupWise or Novell Products. I'm trying to train myself!

- If both MX records for your domain point to the same host name, then
you'd be just as well off with just one entry.
- If you have a successful DNS resolution, then it is possible that you
are blocked sending out on the SMTP port. From a command line,
telnet gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com 25
if you are blocked, you will get a "Connect failed"
if you are not blocked, you should get either a connection refused, or it
will report something like

Thanks for that! So I did what you told me with the Commend Prompt, and it came back as "Connect Failed". So I'm guessing that this is a ISP problem now? Am I correct? -
IPhone 3G Cannot Send Mail. The sender address was invalid.
All of a sudden, I cannot send mail. I get the message "Cannot Send Mail" The sender address was invalid.
I have reset the phone in hopes of resolving the problem. That did not work.
The mail that I'm sending to IS a valid address; I'm trying to RESPOND.
Please help. The configuration and use of any outgoing server address (SMTP) may not be supported due to several factors including, but not limited to, the inability for the outgoing server (SMTP) to authenticate users (whether by IP or username/password) that are not directly connected to that Internet Service Providers(ISPs) network.
This is usually your HOME wi-fi and you are not connected to it because you are on your iPhone away from the house. This is mainly done to prevent unsolicited users from sending SPAM via the ISP's servers.
An alternative is to use ATT SMTP Server (for US) when you are on the 3G or data network for the carrier and not on your home wi-fi. So enable ATT SMTP server under Other SMTP servers under your Mail's account settings on the iPhone.
If you are interested you can obtain that information directly from the email provider. This article has a great temple that you can use to ask all necessary information from the provider including "If you use your ISP’s own email service (instead of a third-party such as Gmail), sometimes it may not work if you use another Internet access point, such as a cafe with wireless Internet. Ask your email provider if the settings they give you will work on other networks."
What to ask if you're having issues sending, receiving, or configuring Mail
