Is it possible to rotate video from the iPhone 4 90 degrees?

I'm a newbie and unfortunately shot a bunch of HD video with my iPhone 4 in a vertical format - now on playback it's rotated 90 degrees to the right. Is there any way to rotate the video 90 degrees to the left so it appears correctly on playback? I don't mind if it gets cropped, I just want to be able to see it correctly. Thanks!

i believe you can use Windows Movie Maker in Windows 7 to do this. google will be your best bet on finding instructions, though.

Ok, I want to connect my iPhone 4S to a projector via a HDMI cable. I will be playing a sequence of videos from the iPhone, so need to be able to skip through them when they're done, but WITHOUT any icons showing on the projector screen (if that makes sense! it's in a gig/onstage scenario). What's the best app for me to do this? If I did it in iTunes (under Movies) would the play/pause/forward icons be visible on the projector screen when I skip through to the next video?

Why won't iPhoto on an external HD not recognize video from the iPhone?

When the iPhoto library is located on the iMac internal HD, all photos and videos from my iPhone 4S are imported without issue. When the library is located on an external HD, however, the photos are imported, but the videos are not. An error message at the end of the import indicates the .mov video files are an "unrecognized format."

Anyway, good questions. The drive is, indeed, Mac OS extended (journaled). It is physically connected to another iMac on my ethernet network which shares the drive (and others) with my "working" Mac located in my office. The drive, as well as another for iTunes, are mounted on the office Mac. The iPhoto and iTunes libraries were created on them in the usual fashion. Adding to those libraries from my iPhone or, say a CD inserted into the office Mac, has not been a problem, EXCEPT for importing video from the iPhone 4S. I have not tried other camera devices. This is true if I use Image Capture as the import "tool" stipulating iPhoto on the EHD as the destination.
As I said, importing to an iPhoto library resident on the Mac internal HD is NO problem, only the external drive.

I took a rather large video on my Iphone and now I need to get it to my mac. I've tried uploading to mobile me but it's taking a zillion years. How large is your movie, when you say it is too big for iPhoto? The last time I uploaded movies, it went to iPhoto, but they were 3 minutes or less. Just now I uploaded a 22 minute movie to iPhoto. Have you tried uploading your movie into iPhoto? Mine was about 1.9 gig.
I also tried to see if the movies could be directly imported into iMovie, but was not able to see anything which would allow that to happen.

You can transfer videos from your computer to the iPod Touch, but not to the Camera Roll.
The Camera Roll is for temporary storage only - for photos/videos captured by the iPod Touch and for photos saved from a received email or from a website. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera.

There is a few events where I could see this happening...
It's possible if you computer is not authorized with your iTunes Store account it may not have transfered your purchases from the iPad to the computer. To check, Open iTunes> Select the "Store" menu along top of the program and select Authorize this computer. Sign in with your AppleID and password, this will make sure your computer is authorized for the future so you can transfer purchases from your device.
