Is it possible to route the log generated frm a FNDLOAD cmd to usr def file
Hi,
Is it possible to route the log generated from a FNDLOAD command to user defined file??
Thanks in advance,
Kiran
Kiran,
I think it is not possible, the log file will be generated in the directory where you run FNDLOAD.

Is it possible to have the log in english and the out in an other langage
Hi,
I wonder if it is possible to always have the log of all submitted concurrent programms in english (for the production center - only english speaking- in case of errors) and the output for the end user in is own langage (polish, french for example). Of course, polish, french langage would have been installed.
It is also supposed that the informations in the log are not expected to be useful for the end user (I hope it is really the case)..
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Pierre from Paris. There is no such feature avilable in EBS standard functionality but I think this can be achieved through custom programs...
Basically during your custon pl/sql code, you need to run an alter session before generating logfile and alter session for NLS again before writing to output file...
I have not tried this yet but i hope this might work.
Thanks

Elvis: Is It possible to use the Function Generator and the Oscilloscope simultaneously?
Hi,
We are using the NI Elvis to output a function or a sine wave at a certain frequency and using the oscilloscope on the same board/elvis to read a modified signal. Is this possible? Can we use both the Function Generator and the oscilloscope at the same time? Please help. The oscilloscope would be reading signal from an accelerometer. Thank you in advance. We have no VI as we do not know which to use and if they are possible.Hi,
There is no problem using the Function Generator and Oscilloscope
at the same time with NI ELVIS. Using the NI ELVIS soft front panels (Start
>> Programs >> National Instruments >> NI ELVIS 3.0 >>
NI ELVIS – see picture attached –‘NI ELVIS soft front panels.JPG’), you can choose
to open more than one instrument at a time. We do this by opening one
instrument, allowing it to begin, and then opening another. We can also program
in LabVIEW using more than one instrument at a time by placing down multiple
Express VI’s taken from the NI ELVIS pallet on the block diagram (see picture
attached – ‘ELVIS Express VI's (LabVIEW).JPG’). One note when doing this,
please see KB 41ODPHX1
for an example of how to program in parallel. If you do not wire the ‘stop’
terminal of the express VI’s, you will get the error described.

I would like to check if certain people have been hacking into my skype and reading my conversations, if not the IP address then would it be possible to check the general location of people logging into your skype?
No Alvin I'm sorry but you can't access a list of used passwords for an Apple ID (or any account for that matter) as it would be consider a security flaw

Is it possible to resize the log and capture window?
Hi,
Using Final cut pro, I would like to make my capture window a bit bigger while capturing. I am capturing footage via my Blackmagic Infinity card and get the input through an HDMI cable. I'm capturing in Apple Pro ress on 720p, 59,59 fps.
For a good overview of what I'm capturing at the moment, I would love to have a bigger capture window. For all I know, FC pro doesn't support the resizing of the log and capture window. Anyone an idea on how to solve this?
Thank you.In my case, the capture window is adjustable if I am capturing SD (DVCAM) video. I can also use the scopes in this case. (Good if you are recording to disk, or using a laptop for monitoring.)
However, both features (adjustable capture window and scopes) are not available if capturing HD (HDV in my case) video.

Is it possible to make the log pop up of errors/warnings appear for longer?
Dear all
The answer to this question may have already been posted but I could not locate it when searching.
I am running SQL Developer 1.5.1 and I have set up the display so that the log is minimised. When I debug or compile any packages the log of error messages/warnings pops up. However this does not stay on screen long enough for me to be able to read it and only 1 in 4 times do I get to the log window quick enough, in order to click on it to keep it open. Is there away of making the log pop up until I minimise it or at least stay on screen for longer, so that I can reach it in time? I estimate it is currently staying on screen for less than 1 second.
I don't want the log to be displayed all the time because it takes up valuable space, which I find useful when writing my code. It gets in the way even more when I am using the SQL statement window/script output window.
Kind regards
TimThank you K. for your reply.
After all these months of using SQL developer. it never registered with me that hovering over the tab brings it up. I must have brought it up before now but I don't remember doing so if I did.
Problem resolved.
Kind regards

Is it not possible to print the Excel generated reports from EBS!!
Is is true that the Excel generated by XML Publisher is not printable from Oracle Applications. Does the printers do not have drivers to understand EXCEL format (which from XML Publisher is XHTML not binary .xls.) So for printed output we should only use PDF ??
Please advice!!
Thanks.Hi,
Actually the Excel format generated by XML Publisher is XHTML ... so the print process would need to convert XHTML to Postscript (similar to PDF being converted to Postscript by pdf2ps).
But you question is still valid... unfortunately I haven't tried it ... anyone else?

Hello community,
I edited the artists through iTunes, but it did not edit the actual mp3 file on my computer. Is it possible to convert the artists I have edited through iTunes to be able to have the artists on the actual mp3 files instead of just in iTunes?I don't think you can change the name of your computer but you can change the name of your itunes library.

Possibility to route Sound? (connect headphone and speakers at the same ti
Hi is it possible to route the sound of my X-FI Titanium (PCIe)?
I want to connect Headphone and 2. Speakers at the same time and want to be able to decide where the sound comes out.
It wasnt possible with my previous audigy 2zs, but it thought now it could be possible, because every cheap onboard sound can do that.
The only solution so far was to choose stereo surround but that wont work in games because most games recognise 4 speakers and some sound is missing.
Any hints?
Thanks in AdvanceI used to be able to do that in XP with an SB Li've 024 which?was like 2+2 stereo card before 5. came out.
Thinking....maybe somethig like [url="http://www.pccables.com/images/05004.jpg">this[/url]?(3.5mm STEREO JACK Y-SPLITTER ADAPTER) plugged into front out for headphones and front speakers.
You can also get a cable that does similar. -
Can I restore the log to another DB?
Thank you for reading my problem first
For example, I have a database name DEMO, and for this DB, I have 1 complete data backup, and also have 1 log backup which was taken after the data backup.
Now I want to restore this DEMO to another database DEMO_666, I am able to import the complete data backup into DEMO_666 with "db_activate recover" , but is it possible to import the log backup from DEMO to DEMO_666 as well?
I dont know if I say it clearly, if you have any questions, please let me know _
Thanks for help.

MD G4 can't get past the log in screen
Trying to diagnose what's wrong with the trusty mirrored doors G4. The light goes on when I press the power button, the chime sounds, but can't get past the log in screen, and the mouse arrow is stuck on the left top of the screen; I can't get the mirrored door to open, to try starting with the original cd; can't get to how to start it from an external drive.
At this point I'm not going to spend much $ to save this computer which has served as a backup device for the past 3 years, but would like to get in one more time to make sure I have everything I want to save. Suggestions? If you have enabled remote log in and know how to ssh into the Mac from another computer - reply and I'll walk you through the commands to look at the logs before you log in from the keyboard.
If not - you should boot from a CD and try to repair the disk and possibly look at the logs using the console utility.
Please advise if you want to look at the logs to see what the problem is or if you can fix it from using the CD's to repair the disk. -
Problems to route the SampleClock
I wonder why its not possible to route the SampleClock to PFI0 on a
PXI-6251. It works with the 10Mhz ref clock. I'd be very thankful for
an explanation. I used an oscilloscope to probe PFI0.
See the attached picture.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
-- Thanks and Regards Srikar Reddy Gondesi, Trainee SQL Server Database Administrator Miracle Software systems, Inc.Hello Sir,
I am using sql server 2008 evaluation edition.
I did it using T-Sql only in SSMS.
i am trying to restore database without taking the tail log backup.
Actually i am learning how to do that. Instead of getting result, it is getting strucked in execution for a while and gave this error.
I got this error yesterday evening.
The below shown is the code which i used to restore.
USE master
GO
--restore the full database backup
RESTORE DATABASE FullRecovery
FROM DISK='D:\SQLBackups\FullRecovery.bak'
WITH NORECOVERY;
--restore the log backup
RESTORE LOG FullRecovery
FROM DISK='D:\SQLBackups\FullRecovery_log.trn'
WITH RECOVERY;
I need to get the below mentioned error as mentioned in the book where i am reading from.
Msg 3159, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
The tail of the log for the database "FullRecovery" has not been backed up. Use BACKUP LOG
WITH NORECOVERY to back up the log if it contains work you do not want to lose. Use the WITH
REPLACE or WITH STOPAT clause of the RESTORE statement to just overwrite the contents of the
log.
Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
Msg 3117, Level 16, State 1, Line 5
The log or differential backup cannot be restored because no files are ready to rollforward.
Msg 3013, Level 16, State 1, Line 5
RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
But i got the error which i mention in the first post.
Thank you.
