You should use the J2MEWTK 1.04. This is the emulator that enables you to develop, and test the midlets you are creating.

This is the workstation Mac Pro, not MacBook series.
If you want Windows installed natively on its own partition, you can't use external USB or FW or eSATA, must be internal.
A virtual machine and its associated disk file image that is used in OS X can be anywhere you want.
Fusion supports BootCamp partitions, but isn't req'd.

Running MIDlet on PC?

Hi. I'm pretty new to Java ME, so excuse me if this question sounds stupid :-). i was searching for answer for several hours, but couldn't find anything.
Is it possible to run MIDlet on PC outside the emulator, ie. using command line like
kvm -classpath ../my/classpath my.package.MyClassThe thing is, i wrote a midlet which works fine in emulator, but I wanted to try running it outside the emulator. When i run the command as above, i get a message like "can not create class in system package".
Also, can anybody explain or provide a link to how to install and run midlet on actual device? Is it enough to only download it and start KVM or are there additional steps required?

Does readUTF play role of anyFunc in your case?

Executing a downloaded midlet out of the running midlet, possible?

I want to create a midlet that
- connects to a server (over http) [found lots of tutorials for this case]
- there the user can choose from a list of midlets
- than download a midlet (the jar archiv and the jad file)
- this downloaded midlet should be saved anywhere on the mobile device
- and should be executed.
Is this possible?
Can I start a midlet out of another midlet (which is for example stored over the RMS)?
Furthermore is it possible to start any other application out of an running midlet (for example I want to play a downloaded flash file [my device supports flash])?
I'm using the motorola a920, which supports MIDP 1.0 und CLDC 1.0.

In MIDP 1.0 that isn't possible. But I recall the A920 being a MIDP 2.0 device, in which case there's a method that might be able to do that called platformRequest(). The spec is very general about it, so it's capabilities vary from phone to phone (the only thing required of this method is to display a URL in a browser, but it could be used for a bunch of other things). I don't know what are the capabilities on the A920.
On the other hand, Motorola handsets usually have a lot of extension APIs, so maybe that's also something to look at.

Is it possible to run sub vi and main vi at same time from startup?

Is it possible to run both my main vi and my two sub vi`s from startup, all of them continuously? I have to sub vi`s that are supposed to take in measurements from two different instruments continuously. I manage to make a program where I can open up and close the sub vi`s, but when my sub vi`s are closed, nothing is happening in them...and they start to run again when I open them...and I have to close them if my main VI is supposed to run. So the data in the chart is only from the periodes when the sub vi has been open.

I will send my labview programs. "Hovedprogram" is my main vi, "front" and "front 2" is my sub vi`s. I am also using global variables. I have already searched the discussion forum trying to find an answer to my problem, but I haven`t quite managed yet...
My sub vi`s are not connected to any instrument now, but I have inserted a sinewave-generator and a chart in "front"(my sub vi) so I am able to see that the sub vi actually stop running when i close the window.

Rosetta works up until Snow Leopard. The Classic Environment works up until a late version of Tiger. Rosetta makes apps. built for PowerPC Macs work. The Classic Environment make apps. for Mac OS 9 work on Mac OS X for PowerPC Macs.
Would it consequently be possible to run the Classic Environment INSIDE Rosetta?
I have read https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-2292, but I am still unconvinced unless there is a flaw to my logic. At any rate, I subscribe to the Churchillian adage of never giving in unless the forces of common sense and doctrine dictate otherwise.
If it won't work, then why?

My next question will naturally be: Is SheepShaver legal? My Google search didn't yield any conslusive proof that it was, nor any that it wasn't, but as the E-Maculation web page seemed quite official and above board I would assume that it is.
The next logical step would be to ask whether it's safe for both HW and SW to run SheepShaver. HW, it appears, is very rarely, if ever, affected by SW settings, so I would assume that hardwarewise, I'm good to go. Could it ruin the kernel of Mac OS X's Unix-based operating system?

A "Force Run" application object works fine if the user's workstation is setup to auto-load "Application Window" or "Application Explorer" but in this case I'd like to run an application when someone does a manual login (ie. they right-click red "N" and choose "Novell Login...")
Using a User Package's "Scheduled Action Policy" and the Event=Login also does not work when a user logs in manually. This type of Event seems to only apply when the user first logs into the workstation, not at a manual login.

Hi,
I was wondering whether it is possible to run a Java program (not an applet) without using a command line in the command prompt?
Basically I want to run a program that will be continually running in the background and hence I don't want to have a command prompt screen loaded up as well - I just want the program to be running in the task bar.
I know how to run the program in the task bar - but I still need to launch the program from the command prompt - is there anyway I can get a program running without having to start it from the command prompt?

If you want to add a second partition to the internal drive (in Disk Utility, select the drive, then open the partition tab and just click the + button), you should first be sure that you will have enough room to accommodate whatever the second volume will be. I am currently doing this for Snow and Mountain Lion.
To get to whatever volume is not the startup disk, restart and hold down option/alt at the chime, which will bring up a selection of the two volumes. Use the left or right arrow keys to select it and then hit enter/return.

Is it possible to run Photoshop 5.5 on Windows 8.1? I have a CD which I tried to run but when I click on install nothing is happening. I have CS6 trial already running on the laptop, so my question is, is it because I need to uninstall CS6 (although I haven't got a warning message come up to tell me to do that first before running 5.5, so don't want to get rid of the CS6 trial without making sure that it is the problem) or whether 5.5 will not run on Windows 8.1 anyway.
Your time and advice would be greatly appreciated, as need to know whether I need to return the 2nd hand 5.5 CD.

Btw, should have been clearer as one couldn't imagine I meant that 5.5 (i.e. ancient one). The adobe website also has this info: Windows 8.1 compatibility for Adobe Photoshop version 5 which just says version 5.5 under compatibility. So it does seem possible indeed to run this but perhaps for someone more techie. Had a look at the thread re: 6.0 and tried to run it as admin. Tried copying the contents on the desktop and change the compatibility under properties (even ran compatibility trouble shooter under properties) - but in vain. Must be doing something wrong. Prolly easier to return the CD (:/)

-My customer does not want to push NAC Agent installation on BYOD type of computers (non-managed by the company computers).
-The requirement is to check for posture only company owned wired, wireless, and VPN connected Windows computers. The rest of the endpoints should be considered as posture incompliant, and limited access to the network should be allowed.
-No certificates are used.
-I’ve configured the required posture check, and it all works fine if a PC has NAC Agent manually installed (without ISE Client Provisioning). However, when I use a PC without NAC Agent, it is redirected to Client Provisioning Portal and is stuck there as Client Provisioning is deliberately not configured in ISE.
-If I remove Posture Remediation Authorization Profile that does URL redirect, the posture does not work.
-For now I'm testing it on wired endpoints.
Is there a way to configure ISE to fulfill the listed above requirements?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm answering my own quesiton "Is it possible to run Posture using ISE 1.2 without NAC Agent provisioning?"
The answer is Yes.
After doing research and configuration testing I came up with a solution, and it works fine for wired and VPN connections. I expect it to work on wireless endpoints as well.
ISE configuration:
Posture General Settings - Default Posture Status = NonCompliant
Client Provisioning Policy - no rules defined
Posture Policy - configured per requirements
Client Provisioning (under Administration > Settings) - Enable Provisioning = Enable (it was disabled in my first test)
Authorization Policies configured as regular posture policies
The result:
After successful dot1x authentication posture redirect happens. If the PC does not have NAC Agent preinstalled, the browser is redirected to Client Provisioning Portal and a default ISE message is displayed (ISE is not able to apply and access policy... wait one minute and try to connect again...). At the same time, the endpoint is assigned NonCompliant posture status and proper authorization policy is applied. This is what I wanted to achieve.
If NAC Agent was preinstalled on the PC, after successful dot1x authentication the NAC Agent pops up and performs posture check. If posture is successful, posture compliant authorization policy is applied. If posture check fails, NonCompliant posture status is assigned and posture non-compliant authorization policy is applied. Which is the expected and needed result.
The only part that is not perfect it the message displayed to the end-user when posture is about to fail. I did not find a place to change the text of that message. I might need to open TAC case, so this file can be manually found and edited from CLI (root access).

1. Goto the process which you want the chain to start from.Goto display messages>> Chain tab. In the generated instance note the variant and instance.
2. Goto table RSPROCESSLOG and give variant and instance and get logid details.
3. t codese37>> run FM RSPROCESSFINISH.
4. give the deatils u have got in RSPROCESSLOG table here and say execute.
This will solve ur problem.

Hello everyone here! I have a question about running a java application within a web browser and I would appreciate it very much if anyone here can give me some answers.
I have a standalone java application written with AWT. Basically this free application lets users to select spectral lines from a big file based on some criteria and plot those selected lines. Yes, it is a very simple application. Now I want to run this application within a web browser so that users don't need to download the application from the ftp site and thus don't need to install in their machine. Is it possible to run this application within browser? If yes, can we get the same plotting function as we run the application separately and where should I start out?

I got 2 speakers connected to an amplifier, but then again i got 2 sub woofers which i want to connect to my Audigy 2 ZS so i can filter out the lower frequencies. So my subs play under 80hz, and my monitors play over 80hz... cuz my monitors starts backing up at higher volums because of the lower frequencies.
Is it possible to run stereo jack and stereosubjack and filter from the card or do i need heavy duty driver modification?.

In the case of 2. speakers, you actually use only a "2.0" output and the high/low separation is done by conventional electronic filtering by the amplifier, not by the card.
There's no sound source or format storing 3 separate channels (e.g. two stereo + "bassline" channel). There's 5. and 7. of course which do so, and even then then bass channel is either the sum of all other channels bass or (rarely) specially crafted on its own for systems that do support it.
In other words, nor the soundcard nor the amplifier have a separate "bass in/bass out" for a stereo config, and there's absolutely no sound system with a "stereo subwoofer".
The closest you can get to "2.2" is using a 4.0 system with two separate 2. amplifiers, and thus each subwoofer will have the sum of the bass of only two of the speakers.
