Is it possible to save a slide show in Elements 11 Organiser to a USB and show on TV?

I took the pics in the highest quality with a great camera but when I make a slide show and put it on to a USB for viewing on the TV the quality is poor.  How do I fix this.  I have many many photos that I wish to view on the TV and would like to know the best way of doing this.  Any help would be super.
We have numerous TV's including a smart TV if this helps at all.
Cheers

by default they are saved in the iPhoto library and show in the source pane on the left

I have lightroom 5.7. Now I have apple TV to connect my Mac to the TV scree. I wish to do a slide show on the TV. However, on the Mac, using ITunes to share photos with the TV, I cannot locate all photo files. What is the best way to save the slide show and put it where the Mac sharing can find it? So far, I made on one folder in Lightroom, put some photos there and I found them easily. Can this be done with a slide show? Please help quickly! Also worried that the photos I put on the new folder are hard to find afterwards, when the show is done. Where do they go when I delete from from the new folder?I am not alone

Not that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.

  • BridgeCS3 -How to save a Slide Show?

Is there any way to save a slide show made in Bridge CS3. I need to use Bridge's Revolving Door transition. I cannot find a similar transition in any other software that supports slideshows.  Perhaps someone knows of a script or an action that simulates the Revolving Door transition. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

I can't figure out how to save one either.  One person said it could be exported to a pdf file, but if he knows how to do that, he should tell someone.  There is certainly no menu option for it.

  • Need Basic advice on save format & slide show project

I have started a project to scan and save approximately 5,000 color slides and 5,000 plus Photos  of  Family and Friends over a 50 year period.
My goal is to use Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 to edit and save files to hard drive and then use PSE 9 to Organize, add tags etc.
and then produce slide shows  to view primarily on big screen (52 inch plus) HDTV sets.
The equipment I will be using 1ncludes: 1. Epson Perfection V600 Photo Flatbed Scanner
    2. Nikon Cool Scan IV  Slide & Film Scanner
    3. Dell XPS 8300, Intel i7 3.4ghz processor, 12.0gb installed memory, 2 each 1tb hard drives.
      4. Windows 7 OS
I have been working on scanning and saving pictures for over 2 months and the deeper I get into this project the more questions arise.
I am looking for advise now rather than later so I won't have to re-do hours of work later. I have visited Forums and viewed all the Tutorials I could find for help.
Some things I don't entirely understand and really need help and advice on are: 1. What is the best sequence of workflow?
    2. What format, size and resolution would be best to" save as" for my purpose?
I see no need to save in high quality PSD if I am not going to Print Photos later?
    3. Should I do re-sizing to 1500pi X 1000pi (Or ??) during the initial edit or later in Organizer?
I have been cropping and saving photos in a multitude of sizes and resolutions.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.  I have a lot to learn. Thanks, Donald

There will be lots of opinions and your mileage will vary. Get the book ScanTips - www.scantips.com.  It da bomb
I had a similar Epson flatbed and number and my workflow was like this:
    * Use the Epson scan software
    * Set to 2400 bpi and save to TIFF (I now wish I had saved most to high quality JPEG.  Sigh).
    * Use Digital Ice where it mattered (Ektachrome) and not where it didn't (Kodachrome)
    * Organize belt and suspenders -- directories (and Organizer tags) identical to the date stamp on the slide.  It will help you a lot when you correct the EXIF date later and if you ever want to find the slide again in  the tray or a more compact box storage (I threw away a lot of trays)
    * Expose the slides to air as little as possible.  I found it better to go direct from carousel to scanner with only enough time to dust carefully and orient
(it takes less time to throw away losers on the scanner display than on a viewer box)
    * Throw away the loser
    * Start with a stack and as I lay them on the flatbed, dust carefully.  I used an old-fashioned StaticMaster - saved lots of time versus a blower brush
    * Learn the histogram on the scanner software.  It does a good job on bottom and top values but the mid-tones almost always benefit and it will save you oodles of time
    * set the correct date (as close as you can) in your organizing software
    * If I cropped, it was to a 12x9 ratio (good for prints and not bad for conventional TV)
    * I found Microsoft Photo Story 3 did a nice job and handled resolution and cropping fine.

  • Screen Saver Photo Slide Show...

...Hello... This used to work but for some reason it doesn't any more. Whenever I go to the screen saver preferences and choose a folder full of pictures to use as a photo slide show screen saver, it says 'folder contains no pictures'. However, is DOES contain pictures but won't recognize them. All the other screen saver features work besides this one. I tried to download and install some screensaver a while back and it hasn't worked since then... Any ideas? Thanks =)

  • Is it possible to have a slide show as one state in a MSO?

I have a series of states on a page that are triggered by buttons. I  have managed to place one image sequence into one of the states but not a slide show. Anyone know if this is possible?
    Thanks.

The buttons simply launch one state or another in a MSO (different text boxes with a photo for ex.). I would like one of those states to have text and a slideshow above, but it does not seem to allow me to add the slide show to that state. I can select the state and then select something else (a random box for ex.) and its happy to add it to the state. Select a slide show and it does not allow the add to state function.

  • Is it possible to burn a slide show onto a Blu-ray DVD ?

Using PS8 Premier I could't burn my slide show ( no movies ) with music onto a Blu-ray DVD. The problem seems to be......low memory. ( my computer has 2 Gig but my project which doesn't seem that involved has over 4 or 5 Gig ). The reason I want to burn onto Blu-ray is to get a clearer project than I was able to on a regular DVD. I get a good slide show on my cpu monitor and also on a regular DVD in the smaller screen of the burner program but the project loses resolution when going to full screen. That is why I wanna try it on Blu-ray.

If you are going to BD, then I would start with a BD Preset. This ARTICLE will tell you the supported Frame Sizes, and FPS.
I would choose the 1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 FPS Interlaced (NTSC), or 25 FPS Interlaced (PAL). I would then go to my original stills and Scale them to ~ 1920 x 1080 in PS/PSE. This ARTICLE will give you tips on doing that with automation in either image editing program. Import those Scaled Images into PrE, with the Duration that you feel is correct, depending on the "flow" of the SlideShow. Note: you can tweak that Duration for each Image, if needed, but by planning a bit, most will not need any tweaking. Then, add any Pans, or Zooms (Effect>Motion>Scale, and/or Motion>Position). Add any Transitions desired, and edit any Audio. Add the desired BD Menus and Chapter Markers (no Stop Marker at the end of the Timeline). This Project should burn to BD easily.
Good luck, and hope that it helps,
    Hunt
Note: in the first linked article, you will see that 20 FPS is not supported, and neither is 1 FPS. You can, of course, make the Duration of each Image 1 Frame, but will probably want the Image on-screen for longer, say 5 - 10 secs.

  • Iphoto save instant slide show

I created a book in iPhoto with a specific theme, titles, photos etc.  The "instant slideshow" that I can play while selecting the book under "Projects" takes all the specifics from my book and puts them into a slideshow format that I would like to save.  I am unable to find a way of doing this.
In reasearching online, I have found suggestions of selecting the book and then creating a new slideshow based on it. However, while that keeps the actual photos, it does not retain the theme, placement, titles etc.  Since I have spent a good deal of time creating this book, I don't want to re-create it again just so I can have a slideshow/soft-copy version of it.
How can I save the instant slideshow that is based on my book?

It can be done but it's more than a one step process. First go to Toad's Cellar and download these two files:
Save PDF to iPhoto 200 DPI.workflow.zip
Save PDF to iPhoto 200 DPI.workflow.zip
Unzip the files and place in the HD/Library/PDF Services folder and reboot.
Next go into the book and start a print process:
1 - go to the View All Pages mode in the book.
2 - type Command+P to start the print process.
3  - click on the PDF button and select "Save PDF to iPhoto".
4 - select either of the files above (300 dip is used for photos to be included in a book that will be ordered and 200 for slideshows, etc.).
5 - in the window that comes up enter an album name or select an existing album and hit the Continue button.
That will create a 200 or 300 dpi jpeg file of the item being printed and import it into iPhoto.
6 - immediately rename the images in order with the Batch Change ➙ Title to Text  ➙ Page with Append checked. This will let you keep the pages in order if they get mixed up for any reason as their original titles are really weird and not in any order.
6 - select the images of the book and create a slideshow.  You can set the theme and transition and add music to it if so desired.  This demo page has such a book converted to an iWeb slideshow. It will give you an idea what the page images will look like: iPhoto Book as an iWeb Slideshow
Note:  I use this method to create an iDVD slideshow of each book I create and give as a gift.  This allows several viewers to view the book at one time on a TV set. iP05 - Creating an iDVD Slideshow From an iPhoto Book

  • I have elements 6.  What is best way to save a slide show to a CD/DVD with the best quality?

I have Photoshop Elements 6.   What is the best way to save a slideshow to send by email or on CD/DVD and still get the best quality.
I save as a project and then email and when you open and play the slideshow the pictures are not clear.

IiTunes unless you have bought extra Icloud space for the photos.

  • Save a slide show so it plays from a dvd on regular tv

I want to know the quickest method for creating a slideshow in aperture, with music and then saving it in a format that can be burned to a dvd and played on a standard dvd player on regular tv

You can create Slideshows directly in Aperture; there are several predefined themes. Arrange the images in the Time Line, drag music from the Media Browser into the timeline, press the "export" button and render a movie (this step will take some time - be prepared to wait for an hour or longer, if the slideshow has many effects). See this section in the Aperture User Manual on how to create Slideshows (Creating Slideshow Presentations).
You can play the exported movie on your mac, but to burn a video DVD to be viewed in a video player, you will need additional software, for example iDVD or Toast, see this User Tip by Karsten Schlüter:

  • VCD slide show

Using Elements 4 in win I get pretty alful results when burning a VCD slide show to a CD. It is really slow, whole process takes almost 20 seconds per slide to process and burn and video quality is poor. I can export the same picture file to ProShow Gold, use their transistions and burn a VCD in about 5 seconds per slide. Picture quality is also about 4 times better. Is this just the way it is, or is there a better way to get a disk that shows both on PC and TV. JPEG files work great but no transistions.........roy barker

    Richard,
    >How about creating DVD (as opposed to VCD) slide shows in Elements 4, are they ok or do they have the same problems?
You can not burn a slide show to a DVD for playing on your TV using Photoshop Elements 4.
    1) The following techdoc describes the possible interfaces to make the DVD from Adobe Premiere Elements
    http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/330734.html
techdoc says PSE 3, but I believe it is the same for PSE 4.
    2) You can save the slide show within PSE 4, as a WMV file and then use other software to author the DVD (encode as MPEG2 format and build folder structure required for TV DVD players). For example, My DVD player came with a limited version of Sonic MyDVD and I have made a TV playable DVD using this process. (Of course, you can do this same process using PSE 3.)
    General comments:
Any time you save the slide show first as a WMV file and then separately make the MPEG2 DVD, there is some degradation of the image quality. So in the above sequences, this is only this avoided by doing the Send to Premiere Elements command. However, when doing a slide show (video) of family snapshots, you may still be OK on quality with the WMV then DVD steps and it will be significantly better than a VCD from PSE 4.
Purchasing PSE 4 for the purpose of making slide shows has disappointed many people. Its slide show functions are enhanced over PSE 3, but as I mentioned there is still no DVD burning in PSE. Spending your money on a separate slide show program might be a more cost effective choice if your top priority is slide shows. If you are purchasing PSE 4 for other reasons, then I suggest experimenting.
If you consider purchasing Premiere Elements, be sure to check the hardware and software requirements very, very, very carefully. You need Windows XP as a starter, but the processor requirements are also significantly higher.

  • Slide show on a CD

I am in the process of scanning approx 500 slides from my days in the USAF. What I would like to do is move the scanned jpegs into iPhoto 5 after I have "improved" them using Elements.
Is it possible to make a slide show of just these jpegs in iPhoto, then save it to a CD (as a slide show) and finally remove the jpegs from the iPhoto library?
My hope is that I could just insert the CD and the slide show would begin.
    Dave

You can create the slideshow in iPhoto and Share it as a Quicktime, full sized full quality movie. As long as it's small enough to burn to a CD you can burn the movie file to the disk. Or a DVD disk if it's too large. Then any computer, Mac or PC, that has Quicktime installed (it's free for PCs from Apple's site) could play the movie/slideshow.
For really sharp slideshows, I'd use iDVD, import the stills into it and assemble the slideshow within iDVD. You'll get better image quality that way and you'll be able to play the slideshow on your TV set. In iDVD you can add music and transitions.
Burning a DVD is processor/memory intensive and with just 256 it will take longer than those machines with more memory. If you go that route you can burn the project to disk image first. Then you can play the mounted disk image with Quicktime Player to make sure the encoding was error free. Then you can use Disk Utility to burn the disk image to disk.

  • This is my first time using iphoto, I am trying to make a slide show that I can then burn to a dvd. The slide show is complete, but I'm not sure where to go now. Can I burn the slide show from iphoto or do I have to export to imovie or idvd?

I have completed the slide show i am making, but not sure what to do now. I want to burn it to a dvd, but not sure if i can do that from iphoto or do i need to export to imovie or idvd? If i need to export, will iphoto save a copy in iphoto? This may be really stupid, but I don't see an obvious way to save my slide show in iphoto. Please Help!

Export the slideshow out of iPhoto as a QT movie file via the Export button in the lower toolbar.  Select Size = Medium or Large.
Open iDVD, select a theme and drag the exported QT movie file into the open iDVD window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Follow this workflow to help assure the best quality video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
If iDVD was not preinstalled on your Mac you'll have to obtain it by purchasing a copy of the iLife 09 disk from a 3rd party retailer like Amazon.com: ilife 09: Software or eBay.com.  Why, because iDVD (and iWeb) was discontinued by Apple over a year ago.
Why iLife 09 instead of 11?
If you have to purchase an iLife disc in order to obtain the iDVD application remember that the iLife 11 disc only provides  themes from iDVD 5-7.  The Software Update no longer installs the earlier themes when starting from the iLIfe 11 disk nor do any of the iDVD 7 updaters available from the Apple Downloads website contain them.
Currently the only sure fire way to get all themes is to start with the iLife 09 disc:
This shows the iDVD contents in the iLife 09 disc via Pacifist:
You then can upgrade from iDVD 7.0.3 to iDVD 7.1.2 via the updaters at the Apple Downloads webpage.
NOTE:  If you're running iPhoto 9.5 the export options will be different.

  • How can I burn a slide show to a dvd?

I have tried, every way, possible to burn a slide show with music to a dvd and I did so successfully except that it will only play in a play station 3 unit and not correctly play on any computer or dvd player. I have tried several ways:
-Creating it as an image saving it to my desktop and burning it from disk utilities
-Creating it in iDVD and burning it that way
    I AM using a DVD-R
So, again it will play in the playstation but not on dvd players
    WHAT CAN I DO??
When I burned it using the whole image thing & disc utilities, it burned the slide show correctly but NO music. I would really appreciate your help
