Is it possible to save a VI as an executable so that it can be run on a remote PC which does not have labview installed?
I am trying to set up a remote operator panel using Datasocket technology.
You need to buy the application builder or upgrade to the professional development version. The application builder will create an .exe. The remote pc will also require the installatio of the LabVIEW run-time engine. When building an application, you have the option of creating an installer that includes the run-time engine.

The FireWire cable is just for the FireWire ports on the display. The display will run without it.

My "Mail" software looks to have become corrupted, as I can't move messages around, save "drafts", receive or send messages. The problem occurred after my Mac crashed and was re-started. Any ideas on what can I do to fix this? Any good suggestions appreciated!
The Mail program is probably not what is corrupted. That would be extremely difficult because it is not written back to disk. The problem is likely in your user data.
You could check that by logging into a different account (make one if you don't) and set up Mail in that account. If it works fine in that account then you have a problem in your user data.
To reinstall Mail, you'll have to get out your Snow Leopard install DVD and check if it is part of the Optional Installs. If it is not, you could use a program called Pacifist to extract the Mail installer. You'd then have to install the 10.6.7 combo Update to bring Mail up to current version.
What are the permissions on your Mail folder? Post output of this command you run in Terminal (just copy and paste):
ls -ale ~/Library/Mail
ls is List. -a tells it to show hidden files/folder. l tells it to make a list with details. e tells it to list Access Control List entries. -
I have a circuit files created in version 13 of Multisim and would like to be able to give then to my students to work. However, the school has only installed version 12 of Multisim. Is there a way to save the version 13 files so that they are useable in version 12?

If you're just visiting the UK, then you probably cannot open an iTunes Store account there, even if you purchase an iTunes prepaid card, since opening an account requires a valid mailing address there. If you have such an address, you could open an account, but you could not use that account once you return to Kenya since the terms of the iTunes Stores all (at the demand of the content owners) prohibit use from outside of the relevant country, so you'd have to use up the credit from the card before you leave the UK.
Until such time as Apple is able to obtain the rights to sell music and movies in Kenya, you'll need to look to other sources for such content, at least on an ongoing basis.

I have recently bought Apple tv. It works fine but I would like to run it through my sound system which is an older stereo system and does not have an optical digital input. Is there any other way of running apple tv through these older sound systems which do not have an optical input?
The easiest way is to connect your television's analog audio output to your stereo; since the television is now doing the digital-to-analog audio conversion, audio/video synchronization is preserved. Note that you may have to enable the analog audio output somewhere in your televsion's setup menus; this varies by TV model.

Media cache files are not involved in the removal of the Adobe watermark from the project.prel file from a tryout.
Just a re-enforcement mention...you cannot remove the Adobe watermark from a tryout "saved" exported product; whereas, you can from a saved/closed project file (project.prel).
By exported product, I mean a burn to disc in the tryout or the Timeline of the tryout exported to a file saved to the computer hard drive.
In the case of removing the Adobe watermark from the tryout project.prel, classically you delete the rendered files (Timeline Menu/Delete Rendered Files) in the purchased program. In no way is media cache involved in this. Some of us have found that there was an automatic removal of the Adobe watermark resulting from just opening the tryout project.prel file in the purchased program.

In Pages, Print to "PDF > Open PDF in Preview". From Preview, File > Export to the format or your choosing, one page at a time. For text, PNG would be better than JPG.

If you mean saving the project files; iCloud, Dropbox, Skydrive will do this.

Cannot send email. When I click Write the window does not open properly. Does not have the "send, spelling, attach, security, save line there. Then when I click File, then Send now it will not send. A message comes up saying my SMTP server failed. Have check and everything appears to be o.k.

Open Acrobat. Use the click-path Edit - Preferences - select the Category "Email Accounts". In the dialog there is the "Add Account" drop-down. Select "Add Other". The "Add Webmail Account" dialog presents. You'll fill out the dialog's fields with Outlook.com settings. (don't forget the "Advance Settings" button)
From a look-see on the web it appears that the following are the needed settings. BUT, you'll be wanting to validate.
The Outlook.com SMTP server settings for sending outgoing messages from an email program on desktop, cell phone or mobile device are:
• Outlook.com SMTP server address: smtp.live.com
• Outlook.com SMTP user name: Your full Outlook.com email address (not an alias)

My iPhone does not have Facetime on it. I've tried going into restrictions, but there's a passcode that doesn't seem to be one that I've used before. Is it possible to reset the phone and then just restore a portion of the old information? I've tried several pass codes and now am locked out for an hour after being locked out for 5 minutes and then 15 minutes. This is so lame it feels like MS Windows. From a simple one step process it now requires first to duplicate, then ito browse back to the folder you were working in and then finally to type in a new mame. Why not just leave save as??????
