Is it possible to scan a document to send out to an email

i have an hp photosmart 7520  and would like to know if a document can  be scanned and sent via email from it or scan to the computer and then email it . which way is the simplest ?

Hi,
Based on its manual, it can:
Start scan.
a. On the Home screen, touch Scan.
b. Select the destination by touching either Computer, USB Flash Drive, Memory Card or E-mail.
If you are scanning to a computer and the printer is network-connected, a list of available computers appears. Select the computer on which you want the scan saved.
For scanning to a USB Drive, insert a USB Drive in the slot.
For scanning to a Memory Card, insert a Memory Card in the slot.
c. Touch Scan.
You can use the following manual to set it up.

Good luck.

  • Is it possible to scan a document to a Macbook Pro from a Panasonic KX-MB781 printer/fax/scanner?

I am trying to scan 2 documents and load it up onto my Macbook Pro,Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013, Processor  2.4 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory  8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Graphics  Intel Iris. I am trying to scan a document(s), from a Panasonic KX-MB781 multi function fax, printer, scanner.
Has anyone ever tried this? I looked at the manual from the Panasonic KX-MB781, but it says it can do windows and does bring up a Mac sentence but does not elaborate. Any one whom can help I would appreciate it.

  • Possible to scan a document into Acrobat XPro,then replace part of that PDF with text or image file?

    Hi everyone,
Is it possible first to  scan a paper document into Acrobat X Pro, and then to replace a "pane" or box within that PDF with a text or image file?
Would it require  SDK and Javascript?
    Thanks,
    Rick Weinhaus

    CtDave and others:
Here's the problem in more detail.
I am a physician and I already have the ability to incorporate paper-based
documents into an electronic health record (EHR) by scanning them and
saving them as PDFs.  The documents are paper patient encounter forms with
a different box or 'pane' for each category of data.   Each box has a fixed
    location on the paper form.
There are three situations, however, where I want to have the option to
overwrite certain boxes of the PDF with data generated by methods other
    than scanning.
    1) Insert text macros with variable fields using the electronic health
    record's software.
    2) Insert a drawing available as a pre-existing JPG or generated by using a
    tablet.
    3) Insert text generated using Dragon Naturally Speaking.
For efficient office workflow, in all three cases the text or image to be
inserted into the box or 'pane' in the PDF needs to be generated while I am
still seeing the patient -- that is -- before the paper form has been
scanned and converted to a PDF.
The sticky note tool is one option, but I would want to be able to modify
the default size of the sticky note so that it corresponded exactly to the
size of the box it was 'overwriting.'  I can't figure out how to do this?
Could it be done using scripting?
Furthermore, I would want the sticky notes to automatically display when
the PDF was opened, so that a hover would close rather than open them.  This
sticky note method would have the advantage of allowing the user to toggle
back and forth between inserted data and any original handwritten text.
    Any thoughts?
    Rick

  • Is it possible to scan from a Canon Pixma MX432 to my iPad?

Is it possible to scan from a Canon Pixma MX432 to my iPad? I want to be able to scan on the Canon with a .pdf of the scanned document appearing on my iPad (wifi version(  I AM ABLE  to print from my iPad to the Canon using AirPrint.

  • I am trying to scan a legal size document from my Canon printer onto my MacBookPro. It scans the document as a letter size.

I am having trouble scanning a legal size document from my Canon printer onto my MacBookPro. I have set the printer paper size option to legal size on my printer. The scanned document comes through as a letter size document after scanning. I do not see an option in iPhoto to change the paper size.
    Can anyone advise?

Experience has taught me that it pays to be very precise and specific when dealing with computers. Precisely and specifically, what you describe is impossible. It is impossible to scan a document (of any size) with a printer.
I surmise that you are using an all-in-one, ie, an apparatus which combines a printer, a scanner, and sometimes a fax machine, in the same device. That takes us to the next step -- the page size set for printing is used for printing -- it has nothing to do with scanning. It may be possible that Canon provides software which synchronises page sizes used for printing and for scanning, but we don't know what applications and drivers you are using…

  • My hp office jet printer will not scan a document wirelessly print works fine on wireless any thoughts on this problem

my hp printer will not scan a document wirelessly the wireless print funtion works fine i have to plug the usb cable into the laptop to scan a document any thoughts on how to do this wirelessly thanks

i have to plug the usb cable into the laptop to scan a document
This is because HP has not provided network USB drivers to allow scanning when the all-in-one is connected to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme.
HP has only provided drivers to allow printing when the all-in-one is connected to the USB port on the AirPort Extreme. To be fair, other manufacturers who offer all-in-one products do the same thing.
If you need to scan documents, you will need to connect the all-in-one to the USB port on your computer....until HP offers full featured network USB drivers. Check with HP Support for possible progress in this regard.
If your all-in-one happens to offer wireless connection options or wired Ethernet options to connect to your network, you should have full functionality that way.

  • I have scanned a document and saved it to desk top - when I have then attached to an email it says no plug and attachments don't send. How do I add plug in so pdf documents can be attached and opened.

I have scanned a document and then saved it to desktop. It has saved as a pdf. When I have then attached it to email and sent - an message comes up saying no plug ins - The recipent couldnt open files. How can I rectify this so that I can attach pdf pleaase

search the app store for PDF Writer. I've found a lot that will convert documents to PDF, but none yet that will write within the PDF. One thing you want to avoid are cloud based apps. Any of them that talk about editing on the cloud, etc, aren't going to be as standalone as you want.
It's possible, if you can take your template PDF, turn it into a word document that you can edit, you can then convert that to PDF...kinda a workaround way to do what you want. And apps that convert to PDF are much easier to find

  • Is it possible to scan a form that can then be filled in with Pages?

Is it possible to scan in a form provided by an organization and then fill it out using Pages or other software?  Will OS Mtn. Lion do this without additional software other than Pages?  Is softward available for the iMac that will allow such scanning to be done?
    Thanks,

You can use Adobe Acrobat Pro XI to scan a document and convert it into a form - a 30-day trial version is available here -> http://www.adobe.com/downloads/?promoid=JZEFS.

  • Editing a scanned paper document

    hi all,
i scanned a document that has an image as a background.  i just purchased acrobat becasue someone told me it could be done.  it is working for the most part but when i perform the ocr some of the text i am able to change but about 3 words which are part of sentences that are now changeable are not able to be changed. how is it possible for me to change all of the text and not just some.  i want to recreate the document but not lose the background picture. please help i need this by monday the 8th.
thank you for your time! :-)

Editing pdf files is iffy. Sometimes it can be done. Changing text on a background it a bad idea, the image in the background cannot accommodate the changed position of the text. It is ALWAYS better to change the original document. Editing pdfs is a crapshoot.

Hi, From its specs, it does not have an OCR software :    http://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c03839855 You need to buy an OCR software to be able to scan to test, searchable pdf .... properly OR you can try:     http://office.microsoft.com/en-au/word-help/scan-and-edit-a-document-HA010254879.aspx     http://free-ocr-to-word.en.softonic.com/

  • Sudden printing problems with scanned pdf documents

Hi, I suddenly experience problems when I want to print scanned pdf documents.
Since 2 years, I am using an iMac with a Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500M and a Samsung ML-2525W. I also use Acrobat Pro 9.0 provided with the scanner. I scan documents, save them as pdfs and print them. Worked fine until just recently. If I print scanned pdf documents, the printer give white pages. Other pdf documents get printed without problems.
I use OS X Yosemite (10.10.1) and ScanSnap Manager 3.2.L63.
    Any advice is highly appreciated

Hi Roger - the problem was going from 10.6.7 to 10.6.8. That is when all of the printing problems began, as well as the wifi getting flaky. I was able to get the iMac speaking politely to the printer by installing Repair 10.6.8 and re-adding the Canon printer (see below):
    Printer “failure”
Probably the single most common 10.6.8 problem, at least as evidenced by a massive 17 page thread in Apple Support Communities, is a failure to print. The typical symptom is that the printer driver software pauses, displaying a message that states something like: “printer-state-message="/usr/libexec/cups/backend/lpd failed" or “/usr/libexec/cups/backend/dnssd failed.” Not all printers have this problem, but users report seeing the symptom in a variety of different printers.
As is often the case with update-related problems, reinstalling 10.6.8 from the combo updater may eradicate the symptom. Another possible solution is modifying a printer file in the /etc/cups/ppd directory (as detailed in the above-linked thread).
Unfortunately, none of these solutions are guaranteed to work. What does reliably fix the problem is to downgrade back to 10.6.7. If you’d rather stick with 10.6.8, you can instead downgrade just the quartet of printer-related files that appear to be the root cause of the symptom. These are the socket, dnssd, lpd and ipp files, located in the /usr/libexec/cups/backend directory.
A Mac user wrote an application, Repair10.6.8 (direct download link), that automatically downgrades these four files for you. Several users report success with this program. After running the Repair app, you may also need to “reset printing system” by selecting the command from the contextual menu for the printer name in the Print & Fax System Preferences pane.

  • Can't scan A4 documents

    Hello,
Im using LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M425DN. When im using windows 8.1 scanning and faxing tool to scan a document, there is no A4 format option (297mm x 210mm). B5 is a default option (most of the time its too small). Using HP scanning tool, A4 page is half blank (verticaly).
    How can i fix this?
    edit: i scan using ADF.

    Hi,
SAP doesn't allow you to reverse a document in FI if it was created subsequently from another module (in your case HR).
Why don't you use F-44 transaction code to manually clear the open vendor line item and offset it against the same clearing account?
