Is it possible to setup multiple users with the exact same calendar?

I am trying to setup exchange with 3 users where each user sees exactly the same calendar all precisely in sync. I don't need the users to have their own calendar. Sharing a calendar from 1 user to the others does not work for me because I need it to be
in sync with all the users' mobile devices as well as outlook.

Base on my knowledge, it is impossible to setup multiple users with the exact same calendar.
However, as a workaround, you can try to set up a shared mailbox within these users as a shared calendar for them to share.

We have a user and when she get an item assigned to her she sees the following alert:
"There are multiple users with the same display name USERNAME and at least one of them does not have read permissions to some of the files"
Now I looked in the database and when I run the following query with the username:

There are couple of reason behind it.
main reason is
take one scenario we have DSO as source and cube as target.
Now DSO contains only 1 request, which i have loaded to cube by using delta.
after that i have deleted DSO content by using right click on it and delete data.
(hope u know that it will not delete request from target automatically)
now once again i have loaded same request from datasource to DSO
and then loaded delta again from DSO to cube.
In this case for 1 single request in DSO you can see 2 request in cube with same data.

Auto Attendant - I have two entries with the exact same name when msDS-PhoenticDisplayName set

Exchange 2010 Sp3 w/latest rollup.
We want the UM attendant to speak first name lastname so I put in the msDS-PhoeneticDisplayName value by using the set-user command. After this was entered, the UM attendant will say "I have two entries with the exact same name" and speaks both
names identically. When I remove the value the problem goes away so I am confident this field is causing the problem. Anyone else have this problem and solved it?

I went to my local Apple store last weekend with a similar issue on my 2007 C2D MBP and they quoted me a price of around £60 (excluding VAT) to replace the optical drive. That's about the same price as the external optical drive a bought for my RMBP.
Alternatively you could just buy a 3rd party external drive if you want to save cash but note that the external Apple superdrive is not compatible with MacBooks with built in optical drives.

There are options for the "save as excel" step . either a) for formatting , or b) for data
these should help.
The reason why there are 'undesirable' rows (also, merged rows / columns) is because your report document has table outlines which have been positioned 'by eye'.
When the rendering algorythm outputs it content, it's looking at pixel-level , so the relative position of borders can get messed-up. It's mainly due to slightly sloppy formatting.

Do you remeber the exact (or close to it) wording of the error message?
Try manually placing the iPod in Recovery mode and then try to restore
Next try DFU mode.

You can also try another computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem.

Cannot download Photoshop with the exact same adjustments I downloaded InDesign with.

I try to start the download from my Firefox12. (The same way I did when I successfully downloaded InDesign.) Adobe Downloader starts. (I also tried starting the Downloader beforehand, to no avail.) Sometimes nothing happens, sometimes I get as far as to be asked where I want the program to be installed. Then the download won't start and a little grey sentence tells me to sign in again do Adobe Downloader, which I had of course done before to get thus far.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I tried to choose the file /adobe that I downloaded InDesign into as well
as /program files (x86).
I do not get any specific error messages.
The download simply will not start.
I use Windows7, by the way.

What's the problem with having multiple users with the same UID?

I've got three edit systems connected to the SAN using open directory off our server.
I want all edit systems to have read/write access to everything created. I don't need to protect anything from any of the systems. With all three systems logged on using the same user, I never have to change permissions.
The other cool thing about this is that Final Cut Pro will let me know if someone else is modifying a project that I have open with the warning:
“The project "projectName" has been modified externally. If another user is working on it, saving will overwrite their changes. Do you still want to save?”
This sounds great, right?
RED FLAG!!!! Apple gives the warning in this article:

So why is it bad to have two (or more) users with the same UID?
I can see that in some situations it means that you can't prevent people from read/write privileges. But I don't want to restrict privileges.
What am I missing? With all of these warnings, it seems like if I do this my edit systems could all explode or something. Please help me understand the potential ramifications of having three users have the same UID.

1) If you have OD set up and "editor" has UID 1111, then when they log in to any machine that's bound to OD as editor, they will get UID 1111. Therefore, there won't be any of these permission errors. This is typically the recommended approach.
2) I assume you mean "You'd prefer to not using open directory?" Whatever the case, OD isn't mandatory with Xsan -- it's just that with multiple user accounts, managing them centrally tends to be easier. For 3 or 4 accounts and 3 or 4 machines maybe it's no big deal. If you go larger, it could get a lot more complicated. That said, if you set it up such that each machine has the exact same set of users (as you said, Mary = UID 502, Fred = UID 503, William = UID 504), then you can do what you want. Mary can log in from multiple machines at the same time, and in general you won't have permissions problems. Of course, if you try and read and write the same file from multiple workstations at the same time, you will get file locking issues, which will prohibit somebody from successfully writing the file.
File locking issues are different from general permissions errors. The former basically says "hey, someone else is editing this file. Therefore I won't let you edit it right now... you can read it if you want though." Permissions means somebody saves it, and Xsan thinks you saved it and own the file, when you really don't.

Why do I see multiple users with the same name as an output of "users"

Recently, I found a peculiar thing when I typed "users" in the terminal. There were three users with the same name. After restart(power went down) I now see only one user there. Is this normal and why it can be happening? Why are there duplicate users sometimes?

Oh there is another option on mine besides "Run command as a login shell" called "Update login records when command is launched" I have them both disabled. Check for a second option maybe.

How do you setup multiple users with multiple devices on itunes?

I'm trying to find the easiest solution to our family music situation. 4 users, 4 devices (ipods, ipad, imac, pc laptops), and 4 different musical song interests. I'm sure there are millions of households that have the same exact situation. I want to be able to pull up only my musical library, not my kid's music, and then easily synch it to my ipod. Everyone in the family wants to do this same thing. I have spent alot of time trying to search the forums/internet and there does not seem to be one "most popular" solution. I did setup iCloud for each family member using a different Apple ID than my main Apple ID, and I'm happy that ALL the music shows up on my ipad. But between iCloud, MobileMe, Home Sharing it all gets very confusing. Some say to setup multiple computer login accounts, and others say to setup 1 playlist for each family member and synch from that playlist.
I would think 1 itunes account allows you to easily share a purchased song with 4 users, instead of buying songs twice.
So here are a few of my questions-
1-Is it best to have only 1 itunes account and then synch all devices off of 1 main computer?
2-Or since we each have iCloud accounts, will they be able to synch their ipods from their own pc laptop?
3-And when they synch, what is the easiest way to exclude other users music in itunes? (other than unchecking hundreds of artists)
4-Or setup 4 separate computer login accounts on the imac and then keep 1 itunes account? If so, how does this work when they open itunes?
Again, I'm hoping for a straightforward simple solution. I don't want to move & create libraries, download 3rd party software, etc. etc. Please reply if you found something that works for your family. Thanks in advance.

Sorry I missed your post earlier. Normally I follow up on any replies. This one must have fallen off the page on a busy day.
As my kids have left home I have created for them a complete clone of the familiy library, then deleted the tracks from it they don't want. Over time their libraries will divirge, but if needs be they can still update their devices using the library at home. Handy when eldest's kit was stolen.
Grouping is just another property, useful because it isn't generally overwritten by other software but is stored in the tags, so preserved when you copy files from one place to another. You can make the column visible and edit for multiple tracks in Get Info. Some software calls the same field "mood" or "sub-genre". iTunes has a specialist purpose for it generally used with classical music, but it doesn't seem to work very well for that and I don't use it that way.

I appologize in advance for this but here goes. I want to make several background narrations for some video clips. Using Audition 3, I start out by recording in the multitrack view on the top track. Because of mistakes, this takes several audio clips. After finishing, I rightclick on one of the clips, select bounce to new track all audio tracks and this creates a mixdown. Moving to edit view, I do noise correction, then back to multitrack where I export the mixdown as .wav.
THen I select the clips in the top track and mixdown in the next track and hit delete. However, when I hit the arming 'R" and then the record button, the cursor doesn't move more than a milimeter and then keeps going back and forth.
I was trying to do multiple narrations with just this one session, so is that possible? Do I have to do a separate session for each separate mixdown?
If there is something I'm doing wrong, I would appreciate any directions.

Let me stop you right there, for a start, because what you are doing still isn't clear, although I think that I can guess at it...
Creating a bounce-down is not the same thing as creating a mixdown. If each of these clips you've recorded constitutes a separate file, which it will if you hit the stop button rather than pause - which it sounds as though you have, otherwise you wouldn't be able to separate them so easily - then just double-clicking on the clip will open it immediately in Edit View anyway. And the bounce-down options don't mention tracks, they mention clips - all audio in session, selected range or selected clips. Yes you get one file as a result - but it's literally just the clips as they stand run together not via the mixer, any effects or automation system - which it would have to be if it were a proper mixdown. A bouhce is exactly what it says - just bouncing the clips.

Hmm... when I hit the delete key, nothing happens - I have to right-click to get stuff to delete like that. But you most certainly can re-record in a session, yes. If you get the cursor moving just a fraction of a mm, then almost certainly this means that instead of moving the cursor back to the start, you've moved it slightly with the mouse pressed and created a very small range.So before you record, hit the 'Go to Beginning or Previous Marker' key (next to the play looped key) and try again - it should work properly then.
And of course you haven't deleted all the files - they are still there on your system and will remain so unless you delete them outside Audition, either the hard way, or using MediaSweeper.
Your workflow is, to say the least, a little strange. If I were recording narrations (which I do sometimes), I'd record in Edit View, and keep just the files or takes I wanted. Then I'd import these into Multitrack view, arrange them, crossfade them, whatever, and then do a mixdown of the result, which would appear back in Edit View for final trimming and saving, and I'd have a file (or files) to use in the final production. This would have the advantage of not creating all these 'take' files that you have to get rid of separately in the first place, and generally keep the workflow down to a sensible number of steps.

My daughter has lent me her iPad. It's currently linked to her Apple account. If I try registering the iPad on my Apple account, will I be violating the license or screwing up her ability to use the device independently? Can the iPad work independently with two seperate users with two separate Apple accounts?

if you are registering your own apple id over your daughter, her account wont be able to put back in for at least 90 days. iPad will notify this fact, you this whenever you try to enter new apple id in the existing user ipads.
another way that would help is to home share your itunes content and allow photo stream features on the ipad, so you will get your contents into your daugther ipad without entering your apple id.
ipad cannot work with two user. you wont be violating any license.

Multiple users with the same work number - fouling up UM Name Lookups

Background: We are using Lync 2013 and Exchange 2013, both on premise. Our users in the same building all share a common LineURI with a unique extension (i.e. +12085551212;ext=23105). Our UM automated attendant shares the same LineURI scheme (+12085551212;ext=23000).
Here is my issue: Some of our users are putting their work number and extension in the Active Directory Telephone Number field in the format "(208) 555-1212 ext 23105). When they do this it fouls up the UM name lookup process when they use a PSTN number
to call out and back in to another extension in our dial plan. The missed call notification or voicemail now shows the name of one of the users that input their own telephone number, such as "Joe Smith"; it no longer shows the name of the building,
such as "Pocatello High School".
My question: Is there any way to specify an override that all numbers coming in to UM from +12085551212 resolve to a specific active directory object, or even specify a name that it will resolve to? Open to any suggestions.

I appear to have solved my own issue. I supplied the following values in the msExchUMCallingLineIDs field:
+12085551212
12085551212
2085551212
That solved the issue. UM appears to be searching those values before it moves on the the Telephone Number field.
