Is it possible to switch the contract on a family plan line to another line?

Hi,
Sorry for the rough title. I'm on a family plan with four lines, and still have a contract lasting until october. However, two other lines on my family plan are on a month-to-month plan (contracts expired, still using the same phones after 4 years). I'm trying to switch to another carrier due to lack of financial resources, one that starts with a "T" to be exact. So I was wondering if it was possible to move what's left of my contract to a number which is planning to stay on the plan, so I can keep my number when I switch? Keeping my number isn't a must, but I'd definitely appreciate it. If anyone knows about this, I'd be extremely grateful to find out. Thanks
-Alex

    Hi alex_riordan.
I can certainly understand the need to save money, but we don't want to see you go anywhere for that to happen. It's true that each line has it's own individual contract and that contract cannot be switched to a different line of service. Have you had an opportunity to check out our Wireless Account Analysis http://bit.ly/vnLjqO to see if there's a way for you and your family to save money by staying with our great coverage? Many are finding the new plans can really save, especially with 4 lines on your account. You can also visit www.vzw.com/discount to see if your employer offers one of our great employee discounts. We would love for you and your family to stay with us after all these fantastic years together.
Thank you

  • Is it possible to switch the rows and columns?

    Is it possible to switch the rows and columns of a table? The reason I ask is that it would be easier for me to input the data with the number at the top of a column and the fields going down. But it would be easier to read the data with the number on the left and the fields going to the right. Is it possible to switch a table in this way?

    It sounds to me as though you wish to transpose a table so that the original is changed from rows to columns and from columns to rows, as in the following:
    Table 1
        A   B   C
    ========
    1   o   p   q
    2   r   s   t
    3   u   v   w
    Table 2
        A   B   C
    ========
    1   o   r   u
    2   p   s   v
    3   q   t   w
    You are right - it would be nice to have a menu item to magically transpose a selected block of cells. But there isn't one. So...
    One way to solve this is to use the index() and transpose() functions to accomplish row and column cell transposition. If you are going to use a 1:1 cell correspondence and change the header columns and rows also, you can use this:
       =INDEX(TRANSPOSE(Table # :: <range>),ROW(),COLUMN())
    where Table # and <range> is substituted as in the following fashion:
       =INDEX(TRANSPOSE(Table 1 :: $A$1:$C$3),ROW(),COLUMN())
    Create a second table. Copy the modified formula above with the appropriate substitutions, select the range you wish to have your transposition inserted into (must match the transposed cell dimensions of the original range), paste the forumula and voila! the cells will be transposed.
    Cautions:
    o The target table must match the swapped cell length and width dimension. For example, if the original data range is 6 columns wide by 4 rows deep, then the corresponding table or range to hold the transposition must be 4 columns wide by 6 rows deep.
    o If your transposed data block is to be offset from the origin of the new table, then you will need to include a subtractive offset into your cell formula, since in the transpose() function the data in the master data range is referenced from its position with the master range, not its cell position in the table. Such an offset is necessary because this example formula uses the target row and column numbers to arrive at indexed positions.
    For example, if the new data range is to be offset one column to the right and one row below from the target table's origin then you must subtract (-1) from the cell and from the column references in the formula:
      Example:
      =INDEX(TRANSPOSE(Table 3 :: $B$2:$D$4),ROW()-1,COLUMN()-1)
    If someone has a better solution I'd be glad to hear of it.

  • I want to buy the movie Crazy Stupid Love but it is not available in the US, only in the UK.  I live in the US but is it possible to switch the itunes store so that I can buy that movie?

    I want to buy the movie Crazy Stupid Love but it is not available in the US, only in the UK.  I live in the US but is it possible to switch the itunes store so that I can buy that movie?

    It used to be in the US iTunes Store as that's where I purchased it.  Often the studios will temporarily pull a movie from the store during times the movie is scheduled to be shown on TV or cable TV as the TV network has been granted exclusive access during the period. It will return to the store later.

  • Is it possible to switch the left-right scrolling behavior in Prelude?

    On my Apple magic mouse I can scroll left and right with the flick of a finger for items that are too wide to fit on the screen, such as the list of columns in the Project pane. The behavior in Prelude is to move opposite to the finger flick - in other words if I flick my finger to the right, it will move the columns to the right as the scroll bar at the bottom moves to the left. This is the opposite behavior of Premiere in the same Project panel. In Premiere, if you flick to the right, it's as if you are flicking the scroll bar. When working with both programs at the same time, it's hard to get used to the inconsistent behavior. I can change my mouse settings to switch the direction, but I cannot make Prelude and Premiere match directions.

    Hi Wes, did it really change with the update?
    My Premiere and Prelude panel scrolling behavior still differ.
    In Premiere, when I scroll to the right on my trackpad, I move forward in time.
    In Prelude it's reversed.
    How to set it? Can't find an option in the Preferences.

  • HT201060 Is it possible to use multiple credit cards with family plan?

    Is it possible to use my own credit card vice my wife's card to make iTunes purchases while part of a family plan?

    This page implies not, only a balance on your account would be used, not a credit card : Family purchases and payments - Apple Support
    After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer's card.

  • Elimination of a contract on a family plan

    My Dad was on my family plan and he recently died.  Can I cancel his contract without penalty even though his contract is not expired?

    Maybe.
    Technically, Verzion only promises to cancel the account if the deceased person is the account owner.  That said, if you explain the situation calmly and work with the rep, they may be willing to make an exception.  I'd call in with his death certificate, and if you can, some sort of proof that he was using the number.  Maybe a bill for another service with his name and the number listed on it?
    I'm sorry for your loss, hopefully you can find a rep willing to work with you.

  • Multiple devices streaming the same music on Family Plan

    If I get the family plan for 2 devices, will we be able to listen to the same songs at the same time? I want to be able to stream music on multiple devices yet have the option to listen privately. Will the family plan offer this?

    It will store multiplle devices.

  • Switching to AT&T with family plan -- need multiple iPhone 4's

    We are currently Verizon customers coming to AT&T for the iPhone 4. We want to get three iPhone 4's, along with another regular phone, and put them on a family plan. My son lives 4 hours away, and won't be able to come to the local AT&T store on June 24 to get a phone.
    Because of the limit of one per customer, can my husband and I each pre-order a phone and then still buy an additional iPhone 4 for my son at the AT&T store on June 24?
    Could my son pre-order an iPhone 4 and have it shipped to my address for me to have activated with the other phones? He is not planning to transfer his number, the rest of us on the plan are.
    Since he's not porting his old number, could he pre-order and have the phone shipped to him and then add it to our family plan once we've activated our new phones? Or do all the phones on the plan have to be activated at the same time and place?
    Any information would be appreciated -- thanks!

    AT&T has a whole upgrade and new account guide on its website. Looks like new accounts can order one per person in line but only one per account online. Existing accounts can order one new iPhone per line (numbers with AT&T accounts). Nothing has been released about Apple's pre order policy.

  • Switching Iphone's on a Family PLan

    We have a family plan, and my brother is eligible for the upgrade price of 199$ for 8GB. However, he doesnt want the new iphone 3G, I WANT IT.
    So if he gets the iphone 3G on his line, gets the data plan etc, can i put my sim card in the new phone? Will it work if i get the data plan on my sim? and will the his old iphone work with the newly activated sim if he comes home and activates his iphone 2G again with itunes?
    Thanks

    The SIM card is tied to the iPhone's IMEI number so putting your SIM in the 3G iPhone won't work. You'll have to wait until you're eligible for upgrade or pay the higher upgrade price if you don't want to wait.

  • Can I transfer the ownership of a family plan? If not, do their lines go dark?

    My husband and I are moving to a different provider, but he is the current account owner of a five-person family plan. Can we transfer ownership of the account to one of the three remaining lines? Are there any fees associated with that?
    If we don't transfer, and they all start new plans with Verizon, will activating the new phones (on our new plan) make their lines go dark?

        Let's keep those lines lit and bright leenal! I'm sorry to see that you are moving to a different provider; however, your account can be transfered to another party via an Assumption of Liability (AOL) as indicated by our forum members (thank you!). Feel free to review the AOL process steps online at this link http://vz.to/187wQRK at your convenience. Additionally, I'd love to address any issues that prompted you to consider a move from our wireless family. How can I help you stay with our superior network?

  • Is it possible to switch the graphicscard in mbp from nvidia to intel under windows 8 (like osx do it)?

    i want to use sometimes the intel graficscard under windows 8.1 rather than using the nvidia one( to save energie). so under osx the system automatically changes the graficscard on the fly - is this (automatically or manual) possible under windows 8.1or windows 7? if yes, how?! iÄm using a MacBook Pro Retina late 2013 (with nvidia 750m).

    Hmm, long story short. Have a look around this site and others regarding EFI installation of Windows. Some hardware will allow it (even through Bootcamp, though they're rare and late-model) and some won't. On the ones that will allow it there can be problems such as no sound, for one.
    The main benefit of EFI as I see it is that you can have as many partitions as you wish, rather than being limited to 4 with the normal CSM (bios) Bootcamp method.

  • Is it possible to switch the security context while in a process task?

    I have a process task which needs to perform some tasks that require a higher level of permissions than the current user has. So, I am looking for a way to switch to another security context using the credentials of another user account, like xelsysadm, and then using the OIMClient class, perform a logon as that other user and then call the necessary oimClient.getService(class) methods as needed.
    My first problem is where do I store these other credentials? I was hoping to use the Security Credentials MAP as set up in the Enterprise Manager console and access this map using the oracle.security.jps series of classes. However, I am getting access denied when I try to access the Credentials Map.
    Here is the code snippet I am using:
    JpsContext ctx = JpsContextFactory.getContextFactory().getContext();
    CredentialStore cs = ctx.getServiceInstance(CredentialStore.class);
    CredentialMap cmap = cs.getCredentialMap("oracle.oim.sysadminMap"); // This statement throws an Access Denied exception
    Credential cred = cmap.getCredential("sysadmin");
    // Ensure the credential is a Password credential
    if (cred instanceof PasswordCredential) {
    PasswordCredential pcred = (PasswordCredential) cred;
    rawPwd = pcred.getPassword();
    password = new String(rawPwd);
    userName = pcred.getName();
    Am I doing something wrong here or is what I am trying to do not allowed from within a Resource Object's process task?
    Thank you for any suggestions.

    Bikash,
    Our Oracle Consultants have told me that I should not make a call to OIMClient.logon() from within an OIM process task. They say that on the server side I should only call Platform.getService() not OIMClient.getService() so I guess I won't be needing any userid/pwds to be stored in the Security Credential Map store.
    But then that begs the question: How do I make a security context switch from within a process task java method if I cannot use OIMClient? Is there a way to impersonate another user using OIM APIs?
    Any ideas on how to do this?
    Thank you for any help.
