    Sorry.
The iPhone is of no use until/unless the previous owner removes it from their account.
You will need to find the prior owner or return the iPhone.

  • On my iPad, if I deleted the iCloud account that I am signed in with, does it delete the entire account (even on other devices)? And would that also delete the apps on the iPad downloaded with that iClouds account?

They were initially setup with the smae Apple ID but when you delete the iCloud account from the phone you disassociate iCloud items on your phone.
If you want to rid the device of the Apple ID completely you will need to sign out in seceral places:
Settings > iCloud > Delete Account
Settings > Messages > Turn off iMessage
Setings > FaceTime > Turn off FaceTime
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID > Sign out
Settings > Game Center > Apple ID > Sign out
Note: You can keep the iTunes & App Stores sign in to share purchases without any effect on anything else
You should consider getting your own Apple ID.

  • If i log out of an icloud account on an ipod and log into a different one can that old account still be tracked?

if i logged out of an icloud account that was the main one on the ipod and log into a different one can the old one still be tracked? if its not even in use

It depends on what you mean. If you mean that you changed the iCloud account to which Find My iPod is set up in the Mail, Contacts, Calendars settings, then the iPod will only be trackable through that iCloud account, not any previous one.
If that's not what you meant, please post back and clarify.

  • We use our Iphones with the icloud to set up scheduling of jobs. Multiple phones share the same icloud for this purpose. We recently had a change in leadership. How do I completely delete the icloud account? Or do I just create a new one/forget old 1

Multiple phones share one Icloud account. We use it to schedule jobs and crew leaders read the cloud to get the information of the job that needs to be done. However, we recently had a change of leadership and we think this person might have logged into or put our cloud on his phone to sabotage our business. I changed the password but that didn't fix the situation. I could put a job on the cloud with an old phone that was logged in with the old password and everyone with the new password would still see the job. I have since created a whole new cloud account which seems to have eliminated the "future" issue of sabotage however I would like to completely eliminate that old account...any advise?

Everyone needs to go to Settings (or System Preferences)>iCloud and click 'Delete account' or 'Sign out' as applicable (it's the same thing). Then they can sign into the new account you have created and proceed from there. You can't actually delete the old account from the server but you can just ignore it.

  • How can I change the iCloud account that my iPad backs up to? I now have two iPads. I want the older to go to a new account and the new one to sync to the original account.

iPad sync to the iCloud account

You have to create a new Apple ID for the new iPad. But you really don't want to do that because them you will have to purchase all of your content again because paid content is always tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase it originally. You will not be able to download all of your previously purchased content for free.
You can backup multiple iDevices to one iCloud account, I backup my iPod and iPad to one iCloud account. You can always purchase more storage space if you need it. IMO - if you still have a computer - use iTunes. You are only limited by the capacity left on your hard drive when you backup. No need to keep paying for more iCloud storage - again, just my opinion.

  • How change the iCloud account that I sign in with?

I have successfully changed my iCloud account name/ email address that is attached to it and iCloud on my phone recognizes that and tells me what my username and password are incorrect.  I can change the password that I type in one my phone but not what the username says. Is there anything that I can do short of resetting my phone?
    Thanks!

If you really did precisely what you just said you did.
You have to delete icloud account from your phone and when it asks you should also delete all info.
Then you will sign into your account with your new user name/apple id and it will download everything back in minute or two.
If you did something else and not what you described as "changed my iCloud account name" and follow my
instructions - you risk losing all your information.

  • I need to logout from the iCloud account that's on my iPhone

I'm using a used iPhone that has an iCloud account logged in and I don't know how to logout. Please help, I think I'm sharing iMessage with the old owner of the iPhone!

    To sign out of iMessage:
Settings > Messages > turn off iMessage
    FaceTime too:
Settings > FaceTime > turn off FaceTime
If Find my iPhone is enabled you will need he password of the account to remove it:
Settings > iCloud > Delete account
The best thing to do is to wipe the device:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings
Once again if Find My iPhone is enabled then you will be subject to Activation Lock and you will need the owner to remove it from their account.

  • How do I change the iCloud account on my iPhone?

I had to change my account name on my computer and the previous email does not even exist anymore. It wont let me delete the account off of my phone unless I turn off Find My iPhone, which I cannot do because the iCloud account that it asks the password for is nonexistent. How can I get this account off of my phone??

You would have to find out what the password was. Have you already tried to reset the password (https://appleid.apple.com)?

  • When restored an iphone to factory settings, all the info is deleted, included the icloud account?

If I can to restore an iphone 5 to factory settings it means that activation lock is off, right? so when I tried to activate it, it will not ask me the icloud account that was linked before?

Restore the device from the most recent backup (prior to restoring as new) to put everything back the way it was.

You do a restore as new to wipe the iPhone then at the end of restore you will be asked to restore from backup. Choose your iPhone backup.
Note you cannot restore an IOS newer than the IOS on iPhone, you need to update iPhone first.

  • Is it possible to have 2 iCloud accounts on 1 iMac?

I share an iMac with my husband, and we each have iPhones and an iPad. We have individual iCloud accounts and I wish to now purchase more storage to back up our endless photos, but on my account. I can't seem to work out how to create 2 iCloud accounts on the iMac because he already has his set up as the default one on it.  If I go to sign out it starts asking about deleting content etc, is it not possible to simply add another account and then switch users within iCloud?  Or would I need to set up a new profile on the computer so we each have one, and then could I create a new iCloud account on that profile for me?  However, all my photos and documents are under his profile.  I'm confused!  Doesn't take much….. Thank you for any help you can give.

You must create separate user accounts on the computer. One for you and one for your husband. Each of you should use your individual Apple IDs and each account so you will each have completely separate iTunes Libraries. Note that in so doing one of you will not be able to use any purchased items bought using the other's Apple ID. These items will need to be re-purchased under you own Apple ID.
In order for this to work you each log onto the computer with your own user account. To make things easier you can enable Fast User Switching in order not to have to always log out and log in.
Using More than One iDevice on the Same Computer
This applies mainly to couples who are adding another device and do not want their email, messages, etc. being duplicated on both devices. To begin read: How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer. You need to establish a separate Apple ID and password for whomever will use the new iDevice. See Apple - My Apple ID and Frequently asked questions about Apple ID. The easiest way is to do this on the computer using iTunes: iTunes- How to set up an Apple ID within iTunes.
On the computer create a new user account for the person with the new iDevice. This will be the user account that person will always use. He/She will no longer use the other user account. This way that person will have a separate iTunes Library
Start by transferring the new device(s) to a new account along with all your data.  Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless they are already in the camera roll) by opening your Photos app, tap on Albums icon at the bottom. Now, tap on My Photo Stream album; tap Select; tap on the photos you want to select;, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow) in the lower left corner; then tap Save to Camera Roll.
If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep then you need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself. Later you can copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.
Tap on Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the person keeping the current account will not be affected,) provide the password to turn off Find My Phone and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted.  Sign in with a different Apple ID to create your new account. Choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.

  • What do I do when my iCloud account is not the same as my Apple ID? And I do not have access to the e-mail address that the iCloud account is set-up under.

How do I get access to the iCloud account to remove/change it on my phone to match my Apple ID?
iPhone 4, trying to access iCloud
    cannot remember password
do not have access to the e-mail that the iCloud account is created under
have an Apple ID, it is a different e-mail than the iCloud account.
Went to store and the person there tried a number of things. I tried all manners of possible passwords as well.
End game: Just want to have an iCloud account I can use on my iPhone.

    Do the following:
Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID.  If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.)  Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID).  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).
