Is it possible to sync some but definitely not all content to iCloud?
Obviously I have more content and more memory on my iMac than on my iPhone so how do I sync selected items? Even my music content is way over mobile device memory limits. Any suggestions ?
Add all songs to one playlisT.
Select the iPod and go to the Music tab and choose *Sync selected playlists*.
Select this one playlist and any others you may want.

Nope.
Did you fail to import them before restoring from backup? If so, then they are gone.
You should import all photos taken with the iphone to your comuter regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any update or restore. -
i bought my iphone 4 through ebay and its unlocked. the problem is that my phone does not sync straight away. I sync my music file through autofill. I want to sync ringtones but its not working.
I saw cidya aap so i m not sure if it was jailbroken or not before but it is back to normal settings.
My problem started when I tried to sync my music files. I pressed 'sync' all it says is waiting for sync start, preparing to sync and then waiting for the changes to be applied. but it does not sync at all.
I found a way to sync my music files through autofill but I really wanted to sync ringtones but its not syncing and I really wanted to put ringtones in my phone please help.If you see the cidya app, your iPhone is hacked with the cutsie term for this being jailbroken. This also means all the built in security has been removed making the iPhone as insecure as an android device.
Restore the iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup to get rid of that hacking garbage. If the iPhone has hacked to be unlocked, the iPhone will no longer be unlocked when doing so. -
My iPad and iPhone have the same syncing calendar but my Windows 7 PC with iCloud does not sync/show the same calendar...please help!
iCloud will not sycn a calendar from an external source. In order to use iCloud to sync it, you would have to move it to iCloud and stop using Google. I know how to do that on a Mac, but I'm not sure how to do it on a PC. If you're using Outlook, I suspect you export it as an .ics file to your desktop, then import it to the iCloud account in Outlook. I'm sure you could use Google to find the specific steps.
However, there's really no reason not to just use Google to sync your calendar across your devices. Instead, just continue to use Goole calendar on all your devices and they should stay in sync. Take a look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0Jj0KFgbYI. -
My phone some how deleted not all but most of my contacts and then backup to the iCloud can I go back to a previous backup and retrieve the contacts. If so how.

Thanks for the answer. I am not new to IOS software but I don't really ever bother with it, have discovered how little I take advantage of the i-phones capability, in reality I still only really use it to phone, text, check emails, listen to music and look on internet. I'm not keen on jailbreaking it as I don't trust it to work so normally just update and leave it at that. Only reason I wanted to downgrade was because the update had stopped my bluetooth working but Kilted Tim solved that problem for me so am now not interested in downgrading software. I quite liked the things that IOS 5.1 gave me but wasn't happy with fact that bluetooth stopped working in car as it caused me problems. One day I might try and work out exactly what I-phones can do but on the basis that it's a phone all I really want it to do is phone, if that bit works I'm happy. -
So tonight I updated my 4s over 3g to ios 7.1 it took forever and said connect to itunes. It said it was in recovery mode & needed to be restored but would wipe all content. I have never made a backup because my computers hard drive crashed (luckily the pics were on the phone) and now after updating like apple said I should it wants me to wipe my phone... I can't loose pics of my kids births and birthdays... I tried the holding buttons and letting off to exit recovery mode with no success... I don't know what to do but I swear if apple makes me loose the priceless pics of my kids I will never buy any apple device ever again... and I will make sure no family or friend ever does either... there has to be a way somehow.. some data recovery some program... I dunno if tinyumbrella can exit it for me without hacking or jailbreaking (which I don't dare/want to do) but i need a solution. I have researched this for hours and hours with no solution so far. If I have to pay $$ for it fine I will but after I recover my data that way I will be going to samsung... anyone with a solution would be greatly appreciated... any solution...
that makes no sense... it was only doing an update... if that's the case it should have promted me to back up first if this is even possible... there is a program that says it can recovery anything that hasn't been written over yet.. so would this not work? http://www.iphone-data-recovery.com/iphone-data-recovery.html or would the apple store be able to recover it??? i've done plenty of data recovery on computers... why wouldn't it be possible on an Iphone... does apple seriously not care about thier customers at all??? how about thier employees that are gonna get more than an earful tomorrow when I walk in there store??? I was trying to get the iOS 8.2 on my iPhone 5 but then it stopped and my phone is now on recovery mode I have pictures I need and they did not all fit on iCloud how can I use the phone again with ALL my pictures and videos without restoring it?
Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created. -

I've a big problem with adobe acrobat reader XI pro and I hope you can help me.
The problem is; when I past copied text from some pdf books (not all of them) it past symbols only! wherever I past it! and even if I coped that text from another pdf reader (adobe pdf reader, internet browsers, ...etc.).
This problem started to happen since yesterday when I installed adobe acrobat reader XI pro to try it before I buy it, and before that when I was using the free adobe pdf reader I was totally able to copy any text from any pdf and past it anywhere with nothing wrong.
What can I do?

How do I transfer ALL my photos from iphone to photo stream? I have just turned on my photo stream on my PC and it only copied some photos and not all of them.
Photo Stream will only transfer photos taken in the last thirty days.
Connect your iPhone to your PC and transfer the photos manually.

i had to put new HD in macbook, backed up with ext HD with time machine, what doi do now? possible to partition so i have not all the old 'junk' on clean drive?
Do you have the OS 10.6 disk? You can run Disk Utility from that disk and format and partition the new drive.
If you don't have the disk you can buy it from Apple for $20.00

PaulaYes, Numbers syncs (very well) via iCloud. You need to activate Numbers iCloud sync on all of your devices.
On the Mac, go to System Preferences > iCloud and make sure Documents & Data is checked. Also click the Options... button next to Documents & Data and check Numbers.app.
On each iOS device, go to Settings > iCloud > Documents & Data > and turn on Numbers. Also go to Settings > Numbers and turn on Use iCloud.
After you've got things working, it's best to close down the Numbers document on one device before you use it on another.

Firefox tools shows "Sync now" but does not respond
I tried to upload my Firefox data to the sync server but may have made a mistake in the verification box. The tools menu has "sync now as its only sync option but nothing happens when this is selected.
Try to clear the cookies from sites that cause problems and also make sure that you aren't blocking cookies.
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems (e.g. mozilla.com and mozilla.org):

My ipad will not sync with my library in itunes, i have music and films in my itunes library but they will not transfer to my ipad. I have just carried out a restart to factory settings and then sync of my back up but still no joy. Any suggestions?
Have you selected the content to sync to your iPad in your sync settings in iTunes. The content that you want to transfer must be selected (checked or "ticked") to sync out will not transfer when you sync.
For instance - if you want to sync music....
Connect the iPad to the computer and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Music Tab on the right.
Click on the albums or playlists that you want to sync - or the entire library if you like.
Click on the Sync Music Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
This applies to all content that you want to transfer from iTunes to your iPad. Make the selections in the appropriate tabs in the iTunes window on the right. -
i had to restore my ipod and now when i sync it
it wont put the content back onto my ipod it just doesnt go onto it at all
