Is it possible to sync text messages to Outlook 2007?

Just went from the Moto q9c to the Blackberry 8130 and so far it is great.  One thing that I would like to do is sync text messages to Outlook so they are backed up as well as easily available for viewing at a later date.
Is there any way to do this?  I am aware of being able to backup the device, and reload a previous backup but don't feel this to be very...user friendly.
Thanks.

Well, yes and no.
There are a couple different ways to get your text messages off of your phone.
The first (and free) way to get your text messages off your phone is to forward them as an e-mail to your e-mail address.  Depending on how many sms you have, this could take a while.
The second option is to download a 3rd party application to copy the text messages over.  One is ABC Amber Blackberry.
Have Fun!

  • Is it possible to sync text messages between 2 iPhones

OK this is a long shot but I figure if you guys cant help then no one can.
Basically i have 2 iPhones, an iPhone 5s and an iPhone 6. Im a bit fussy and can't decide which i prefer to use so i sometimes swap my SIM card from one iPhone to the other. However, by doing this i never have an 'up to date' set of text/iMessages. is there any way to have the same up to date messages on both handsets so when i swap phones i have all my messages?
    Cheers

    You can try this:
from iMessage enable your email to receive on both devices
    For SMS enable message forwarding

Did you possibly restore it from an old backup file?

No, except to restore an iCloud backup to recover text messages and other data.

You mean automatically?  I'm not aware of any carrier that offers such a service.
You can manually forward a text message, however.
If you use iMessage, then any iMessages will be delivered to all devices that use the same Apple ID for iMessaging.

Yeah, unless you want to deal with the pain of trying to get you messages to your computer, you will have to take a screenshot (by taping the home and lock button at the same time).
If you want to print a screenshot, it will be in the photos app to print ( click the share button and click print).  If you so not have a AirPrint printer, there are third-party apps for computers like fingerprint (look it up) that can make a fake AirPrint printer.
I want to add something more.
In most cases, you would need to use a paid third party tool to export and then print your iPhone text messages on your computer. If you have a low amount of messages you want to print you can also take prints creens of each message, then transfer the photos to your computer and print from there. Is it possible to transfer text messages from iPhone to iPad?
I'd like to backup my text conversations to my iPad from my iPhone 4.
Is there a way of doing so?
    Thanks

Not without restoring your iPad from the backup of your iPhone, which will revert all data and settings on your iPad to those contained in this backup, not just text message conversations.

  • Could someone please tell me if it is possible to retrieve text messages that I have permanently deleted?

Could someone please tell me if it is possible to retrieve text messages that I have permanently deleted?

SMS's are included in the iPhone backup, thus restoring from backup will restore your SMS's, assuming you backed up your phone with the SMS's in question still on your phone. If not part of your iPhone backup, they are gone.

  • Is it possible for sms text messages to be forwarded from one iPhone to another

Hi I'm looking for a bit of help please? Is it possible for sms text messages to be forwarded from one iPhone to another without the use of such app as mysms or google voice as neither of these seem to work. Apple sugested that my network provider can usually assist in such maters with a few simple setting there end. Does anyone have previous experience in these matters. Thanks Matt.

Do you mean forward them automatically?
As you can manually forward any SMS or iMessage to any number you want directly from the iOS Messages app.

  • I have a problem with syncing my calander with outlook 2007 for iPhone 5s, ipad 1st and 3rd generation. Contacts work find, and new and changed enteries in outlook all go to the devices. Device Cal changes do not appear in Outlook

Over the past year or so, I have been unable to fully sync my iPads with outlook 2007 calander. Now I have an iPhone 5s, and really need the calander fixed. Contacts seem to sync in both directions, and any new or changed cal enteries in outlook appear on the device. The problem is that any new or changed calander enteries do not make ip back to outlook 2007, so there is only one-way syncing (down to the device) but no return, for calander entries.
I am now using the latest itunes, which I followed the recommendation delete all apple stuff, and then reinstall, I have used scanpst, built new PSts, etc, am I am stuck.
    Not using icloud either.
Not using wi-fi, purely USB cabale sync
    Running on Windows XP, SP3
Now IOS 7.0.2 on iPhone and 1 iPad (3rd gen)

    Kept searching, found this: https://discussions.apple.com/message/23321067#23321067
Bottom line: if you follow the recommendation to delte all itunes software and re-install, it don't work (at least for me and many others).
However, purge the data (certain data) and the data syncs.
I think the folder is Apple Computer\Preferences and it needs to be purged.
To be sure, maybe someone can rename the folder on their system, then run itunes and see if it syncs ok.
The idea is to figure out the least minimum stuff that needs to be touched in order to get a working solution than having to purge all Apple software and then rebuild it all over again.
I had purged other files out of inpatience, but did not want to purge entire folders because I had Safari, and Quicktime software, and did not want to wipe that out, Plus there were software downloads and device backups in some of those folders. But I really believe it is the preferences folder, and I would like someone with the same problem to try it and verify it.
Once the preferences folder is removed/renamed (taken out of the picture) pluggin in the device and go to the INFO (I think that is the iTunes tab) page where you select calanders, contacts, email accounts, etc. They will all be unchecked (because you wiped out the preferences) and you need to reselect them. Then run your sync.
What I had done in testing was create something on the device, and modify something else on the device looking to see what got up to Outlook. I got the good news that something good was happening when I got the conflict message from iTunes, and it showed both Outlook and iPhone, showing the calander entry I changed on the iPhone. Never got that before. After the sync, everything looked good the few test entries were uploaded to outlook.
Now, My Cal is 10L+ enteries, and I am doing 100% sync (I don't select the option to ignore enteries over x days). I also have 1400+ contacts. Before this change, the sync of contacts & calanders took a couple of hours (and only operated ONE-WAY, now the syn is taking less than 5 minutes for this one step.
I am a Windows XP Professional user, x32 bit system, using Outlook 2007, iTunes 11.1.1.11, I am standalone (no exchange server) and have about 10 email accounts (mainly POP) defined. I am using only one calander in outlook, but I have Outlook and 2 gmail calanders in the iPhone.
I am running iPhone 5s and iPad 3rd Gen both with IOS 7.0.2 and a 1st generation iPad with the latest version of IOS 5.x.
If anyone else has success, I'd like to hear, along with your experience.

  • How can i sync my calendar in Outlook 2007 with iTunes 11.1.3.8 WITHOUT using iCloud?

How can i sync my calendar in Outlook 2007 with iTunes 11.1.3.8 WITHOUT using iCloud?

your link shows how to sync, i know how to do that.
i specifically wanted to sync my outlook calendar with my phone, not my outlook calendar with icloud calendar.
apparently you have to go into setup on phone and tell phone not to sync calendars with icloud so you can get choice to sync phone via itunes.
    thanks anyways for trying.

  • Why I get double phone numbers and addresses but not notes within a contact when I sync iphone 4S with Outlook 2007?

I get double phone numbers, double addresses, but not double notes, when I sync iPhne 4S with Outlook 2007. How can I prevent it from happening?

Yes, I removed iCloud add-on from Outlook; and uninstalled iCloud.  I then re-installed, and sync would not work (no tab for sync in Outlook either). There was no improvement.
However, since reading your post, I have just tried signing out of icloud control panel and signing in again....and now all si working as it should.  Weird!!
    Thanks for your assistance.

  • How to convert Outlook Express6 messages to Outlook 2007

I down loaded the .dbx file form the laptop (XP)with OE6 to a file and installed that file on the Win7 desktop with Outlook 07. I have not been able to import the messages to Outlook 07. I did ask this a week ago and got a responce from Hal but it's not
in "My Threads". Thanks for any help.

    Hi,
I have met this issue before and I solved it by this method.
I downloaded DBXconv and saved it into a directory with a copy of my Outlook Express mailbox files. I ran the following command to extract the messages into .eml format.
    dbxconv -eml *.dbx
The utility quickly created a folder for each of my .dbx files and created an .eml file for each of my messages. I was then able to import the files into Outlook 2007 by:
    1) Dragging the .eml files into Windows Mail
    2) Exporting the messages from Windows Mail
    3) In Outlook 2007, Selecting File – Import and Export – Import Internet Mail and Addresses
    4) Select Outlook Express 4.x, 5.x, 6.x or Windows Mail
    5) Check the Import Mail and Import Address book boxes and press
    Next
    6) In the Import Addresses window you can set how you want duplicates to be handled – Select the option and click
    Finish
In addition, I find this KB article on Microsoft.com, it also introduces how to import Outlook Express messages into outlook 2007.

    Mail

    Entourage '04/'08
    Thunderbird
    Eudora

If it's going into Mail you'll need to do a work around, it's not a "straight" transfer unless you buy a 3rd party application called Outlook2Mac.
