Yes, It is possible. You can merge contacts, calendars, and bookmarks between multiple computers.
When you sync the contacts and calendars to your iPhone from the new computer you'll see the option to Merge or Replace, just choose Merge.

I've been using iCal for years for my business and have over 15 calendars on it (to color coordinate projects) and used to sync them with MobileMe. Now that I've upgraded my mac and have Mountain Lion and can only use iCloud to sync Address Book, Notes etc - iCloud doesnt even acknowledge my 15+ calendars unless they are DUPLICATED.
I've turned OFF iCloud and tried to sync via iTunes telling it to sync to iphone/ipad from "Calendar on this Mac" - but it sees nothing. My device Calendars are blank (iCloud off on them too).

I share a similar situation (usb iTunes sync with Outlook with my corporate laptop; personal calendar on icloud).
With IOS7, at first, iTunes/Windows does not propose Outlook sync anymore. I need to switch off calendar from iTunes to enable usual usb sync with Outlook. I had to sync it twice while checking "replace iphone data" to get a stable behaviour (like before) IOS7.When I try to re-enable icloud calendars, it proposes me to merge them...
I did not test merging so far...
IOS7 and iTunes 11.1 are not completely polished ;-)

ICal and reminders on Macbook don't sync with iCloud

Just now when iCal crashed on my MacBook Pro I realise that it hasn't been syncing with iCloud (lost al lot of appointments).
Any change made on my iPad, iPhone and on icloud.com syncs perfectly; even back to my macbook!
The rest on my laptop (notes, iWork apps, mail, contacts) all seem to work and sync perfectly with iCloud.
However iCal and Reminders made on my laptop just don't sync to iCloud!
The other way around works nicely (reminders and calendar appointments from iPad, iPhone and iCloud.com appear promptly on the macbook).
I have tried everything i could find (restarting computer, resetting icloud prefferences, log out and in from icloud, starting new calendar, checking icloud account). Nothing works...
Any change made from my macbook just doesnt make it to other devices. From other devices back to my mac do work.
On my macbook all calendars I have are in iCloud.
iCloud is active (with same login as for other devices)
Would be great if someone could help me with this one!

I have something similar and i will try to explain with my rusty english.
I have an ID on iCloud but i can't sync the iCal events.
On my mac there is everythign (appointment, notes birthdays and so on). On my iCloud there is nothing.
I suppose was something related with the old ID (one just for ichat, not one of the ID that you pay to receive extra services or a @me.com account).
Now, as soon as the icloud features was installed on my Macbook Air I signed a new ID and initially everything worked fine. Emails on Mail and contacts were syncronized properly but with the new ID. i did not check iCal account.
So i tried also with the old one (the ichat ID) and all was sync. So i realized that maybe Apple recognized same account or name and merge all the ID in just one.
I was wrong.
The 2 ID's are not linked.
further checks add also this new weird stuff. in any case i cant sync ical accounts. i tried to switch from one to another ID. no way. i checked preferences in iCal on the mac. everything is fine. no way.

Switch Contacts off then back on then reset the device.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

You created the same Apple ID with the setup assistant on the new iPad Air - the same Apple ID used for the iTunes and App Store on your iPhone?
There is no charge for a free app regardless.

IWork on my iPhone no longer syncs with iCloud

About two weeks ago, I noticed that my numbers documents stopped syncing with icloud. I would see the upload icon but nothing would actually happen. Edits I made on my phone wouldn't upload and documents I created on my mac wouldn't download. All other icloud functions work on my phone. My documents are making it to icloud without incident when I create or edit them on my mac.
I've tried reseting my phone, doing a software restore, removing then reinstalling Numbers and Pages and updating both apps. Most recently, I updated to iOS 6. Nothing has worked. Is there anything that I can do short of setting ym iphone up as a new phone. I really don't want to do that and loose my message history and call data.

Is it everything that no longer syncs, or is it just one of the things, i.e. just calendar, contacts, notes? Many times as mentioned in the earlier post, it can be caused by a corrupt .pst file. Run the scanpst.exe application that resides in the Office folder. That will run a repair on the .pst file. Go into iTunes and reset the sync history and then try the sync again. If that doesn't help, it is possible there is a corrupt appointment in the calendar. That can cause a problem with syncing.
Try those couple of hints and see if that helps. Come back if it doesn't and let us know some more specifics.

How to insure that contacts and calendar are NOT synced with ICloud?

I do not understand, why it is not possible anymore to sync your contacts and calendar data between your mac book and your mobile devices using USB cable.
I also heard that with Maverick and Itunes 11.1.2 you can not sync anything using USB anymore, is that true?
Why is it not possible to let the customer decide how to sync their data? Why not leaving both options?
In case it is true that with Maverick and Itunes 11.1.2 you are not able to sync using USB anymore, does anybody know a good app to sync your photos and address data between your computer and mobile devices?

Yesterday I synced some Photos from my macbook to my IPad and wondered why I had the photos twice. I realized that my IPad had ICloud enabled, after disabling ICloud one picture folder (Photostream) was gone. What do do to avoid that my MacBook is sending Photos to ICloud?
However, when I opened ICloud today, I did not find photos, but I found some address data from my MacBook in the Cloud.
I do not want to have my contacts and calendar data anywhere else on a server.
Any help would be appreciated.

Connect your phone to your computer using the USB power cable that you charge your phone with.
Launch iTunes, it will go thru the normal sync back up progress bar thing at the top, let it finish.
Then
double click on the phone in the left side bar then click INFO at the top of that pane, it will allow you select what you want to sync (contacts,calendar,etc) make your selections and click apply, then click sync. There buttons along the top for different functions (Movies, Apps, etc) just make sure that you do not have anything checked (like your whole music library) that will not fit on the phone.

Syncing with iCloud despite XP incompatibility?

I have an iPhone (4S) and an iPad (2) and would love to sync with iCloud. But, because my PC is running Windows XP and Outlook 2003, both of which seem to be incompatible with iCloud, I have stayed away from iCloud, and I sync/backup both mobile devices exclusively to the PC. Normally this works fine. I work at my PC most every day and syncing to it is almost as convenient as to the cloud.
Soon, however, I’ll be traveling and away from my PC. I’ll have both mobile devices with me and will be editing and adding entries in Calender, Contacts, and who knows what else. I don’t want to have to make the entries in two devices, so iCloud could be very useful to me. I spoke with a specialist at a local Apple store who said there is no reason I can’t use iCloud to sync the devices, as long as I don’t bring the PC into the mix. He told me to go to Settings > iCloud on each of the devices, turn ON the items I want to sync, and make sure that "iCloud Backup" is OFF. Also make sure that the option "Back up to this computer" is checked in iTunes on the Summary tab for each device. He said I’ll be able to sync the mobile devices during my trip (when connected to a power source and while both are within the same WiFi network). When I return home, I can backup to my PC and the changes made on the devices will sync cleanly with the PC.
The Apple specialist said he has personal experience with this issue because he has an older Apple computer with an OS that, like XP, is incompatible with iCloud. He said the solution is just to keep the incompatible OS away from the cloud. If it is only the mobile devices (running the current iOS) that are syncing in iCloud, and the PC is kept away, everything will be fine.
I’ve read a lot of online posts about the XP-iCloud issue and none have suggested a solution like the one I have just described. Enough of them have recited horror stories of duplicated entries and other problems, such that I would like to have a second opinion (or three or four, or more) before I dare take the leap. If anyone has thoughts on this, please jump in.

I do intend to sync and back up to iTunes before the trip.
With respect to turning on iCloud backup while I’m away, my understanding of what the specialist told me was that iCloud backup should remain off all the time. I may have misinterpreted what he said. or maybe I got it right and he was just wrong. I don’t know. Is it possible that backing up to iCloud and then later backing up to iTunes (in XP) somehow causes the duplication of entries that some users seed to have experienced? I don’t know why it would, but I don’t know.

Mail won't sync with icloud.

I have an iphone 4 32gb, Win 7 x64, itunes 11.02.26, ios 6.1.2, and Outlook 2010. Recently had to do a complete Windows reinstall from scratch, but everything was backed up and is up and running normally again.
The iTunes info tab for my iphone says that my contacts, calenders, tasks are being synced with my iphone over the air with icloud. The mail is not. Previously it was. The icloud control panel only says the 'contacts, calenders and tasks with outlook' being synced, but mail is not listed. Clicking on the message only unchecks the tickbox.
MS Outlook has my @me.com account installed and working and 3 other email accounts, and the icloud refresh button on the toolbar is working ok. The same mail accounts are installed on the iphone and work ok. My phone and Outlook can each access all my mail accounts seperately without a problem. At present I have left the mail tickbox unchecked on the itunes info page for my iphone. (I dont want to mess up the information on either unless I have to). There are no checkboxes for the contacts, calenders or tasks as they are using icloud. Under 'settings/general/icloud' on my iphone, Mail and calenders are both selected to ON.
When I try to log into icloud.com, I get a message that 'icloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server', but the system status check shows no problem.
How do I get my mail to sync between outlook and icloud the same as calenders, contacts, tasks and bookmarks?

Because it's a Google Service not an iCloud service, you can still sync it to your Mac and your devices, just not using iCloud.

All of the sudden about 10 days ago, I noticed that when I asked to refresh my calendar, that it just hangs on both my iMac and my MacBook. And neither are syncing with iCloud calendar. Yes. iCloud on the web is correct although the latest stuff I added to my MacBook is not showing up because it won't sync.
In System Preferences iCloud is selected and they are turned on on both machines as always.
There are no other calendars linked to iCal. I just have a Home, Work, and Birthday and US Holidays all linked in.
I did try something on my MacBook that seemed to work. I went into System Preferences and turned off Calendars and Reminders in the iCloud setting. That prompted a message that all of the iCloud iCal data would be removed from the computer. I made sure the web version was accurate before I did this. Then I shut down my computer and restarted. When I restarted I went back into System Preferences and turned on Calendars and Reminders and now it seems to be working.
I'm about to try the same thing on my iMac.
If this works both times, my question then would be what would cause both my iMac and MacBook to disconnect as it seems from iCloud when I hadn't changed anything at all.

IWork not syncing with iCloud on iPad

Okay, I am having the same problem a lot of people have been having. Namely, my iWork documents are not properly syncing with iCloud. They're stuck on either upload or download. Sometimes, I'll get a document to download, but it immediately begins to upload again, even though I haven't opened it on my iPad. I have tried everything I have found in the forums:
Deleted the documents from iCloud and my iPad, then uploaded to iCloud from my Mac.
Turned off the Documents and Data option in the iCloud menu on my iPad, turned the option back on then restarted the iPad. (I've tried several variations of this option.)
Restored iPad using iTunes.
Has anyone been able to find a definitive solution to this issue?

stpauli, it sounds like it's you and me in this together. Have you had any luck? I've had a little. I've been working on this for about a month now. Here's what I did:
I deleted all of my documents from my iPad, iTouch, and iCloud. (I tried it without deleting, but it didn't work.)
I completely turned off iCloud on ALL of my devices, even my Mac.
I deleted all files in iTunes for the iWork suite. (Again, I didn't this this would matter, but it didn't work of they were still there.)
I restored both my iPad and iTouch using their most recent back ups.
I switched on iCloud on ALL of my devices again.
When I opened the programs, things seemed to be working again. It worked well for two days, but now it's being funny again
iCloud will not push out to my iPad. If I create or edit on my iPad, it will push up to iCloud just fine, but if I upload a document to iCloud from my Mac, it never shows on my iPad. In fact, I edited a document that was in iCloud using my Mac, and uploaded the file back to iCloud. The updates never showed on my iPad, and when I closed the document, two versions of the same file appeared in iCloud. The one that was uploaded from my Mac is unusable.
This is definitely an iCloud issue. Unfortunately, the nearest Apple store is a four hour plane ride away, and my devices are out of waranty so they want to charge me for help. I hope you're having better luck.

My ipad AND iphone 4S have stopped syncing with icloud - for calendar and reminders at least - suspect for all apps - any suggestions anyone? Have tried ensuring default calender is the same across all, but thus is also impacting other apps.. Help appreciated.

Do you mean per app? Have done for calendar on iphone, but reluctant to do so on ipad as that's the one that contains loads of updates (as it means deleting everything on the ipad?)... if I have to do this I will eventually, its just that as it's both my iphone and ipad involved, it seems like it might be more likely to be an icloud issue? Sadly this is not a new problem and I would not expect a forthcoming solution. I bought an iPad 3G and the iWork suite at the end of August and iCloud syncing worked fine. About the time Apple rolled out iOS 6 the syncing stopped working for me (without me upgrading or changing anything). It has never really worked since. Run iOS 5.1.1 on both the iPhone 4 and iPad 3G. The "geniuses" claim that Apples iOS 5 requirement is not correct and that I MUST upgrade both to ios 6 (although I know for fact that lots of folks STILL have the iCloud probs even with its 6. The last genius basically shrugged and non-verbally acknowledged the iCloud/iWork failing and suggested "just use Dropbox.". So why the **** did we pay for iWork!?!?!
Basically the iwork/iCloud Connnection is broken and I have yet to get a viable solution to repair the issue. Sorry for the bad news. For reference I have uninstalled/installed each iteration of iWork upgrades on each device without success. I have reset all settings multiple times, turned iCloud off/on repeatedly etc etc without success. I even wiped the iPad and restored from iCloud w/o intention (another Apple IPad "glitch" when I tried the "reset all settings" and the iPad decided to "erase all" instead. The genius said "it happens.")
Oddly, the Pages app is the only one that has marginally worked at times since the first probs. However it is basically broken and non-functioning. Certainly DO NOT trust vital documents to iCloud/iWork. I lost a number of work critical docs in this whole annoying, messy process of trying to get what Apple promised as easy....

MacBook Pro won't sync with iCloud, although iPhone and iPad are fine.

My MacBook Pro keeps telling me it can't sync with iCloud because my password may be incorrect. I keep re-entering the correct password, but this keeps on happening. iCloud seems to be working fine with iPhone and iPad. Also, there are 2 iCloud accounts showing on my MacBook, but if I try to delete one, it seems to delete both.

Your signature says you have 10.3.x but presumably this can't be correct - could you please make sure it's correct to prevent confusion. 10.7.2 is required for iCloud - your Mac won't be able to sync with pre-Lion systems.
The fact that you have iCloud accounts showing does suggest you have Lion: are they showing in System Preferences>iCloud, or where? You can only enter one there.
Are the two different or the same? You could try deleting both and then starting the setup again from scratch.

IPhone Contacts won't sync with iCloud

I have my Macbook Pro and iPhone 4S synced with iCloud, so everything I do in one device shows up in the other.
About 2 days ago I noticed my iPhone contacts were not syncing with iCloud. Calendars, Notes, etc. is syncing and the Macbook Pro is syncing as well. Only iPhone contacts are not (both ways).
Any ideas are welcome!! Thank you!!!
