Is it possible to transfer songs from a rhapsody account over to itunes

Both of my kids were given I pod touches for christmas and previously had mp3 players that used rhapsody.  Is it possible to transfer their music from their rhapsody acconts over to itunes.  Also, if they both want the same songs downloaded from the itunes store, can they do this without paying for it twice?

If the use the same Apple ID/iTunes account they can share the iTunes purchases.
If the Rahapsody songs are regular, non-DRM/Copy protected the just import them into your iTunes library and then sync

If they were purchased then you simply transfer purchases

Songs should reside in iTunes, if you have any non-purchased content on the phone you will need a 3rd party program to transfer

  • Is it possible to transfer songs from ipod to new computer?

I recently bought a new computer and had put the itunes from my old computer onto a hard drive to transfer it over, however it didn't transfer all my songs. Those songs are still on my ipod and I would like to know if it is possible to transfer them from my ipod onto my new computer? PLEASE HELP!!

iTunes will only let you copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer, you'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads and including iTunes purchased songs and in some cases, videos and games) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)

There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide

  • Is it possible to transfer songs from my ipod to my new laptop?

Is it possible to transer songs from my ipod to my new laptop? even though I had home share on the last one, it blue screened and won't switch on, and I don't want to lose my music as I only have 1/2 of it backed up on disc.

Purchased songs can only be downloaded once without having to purchase them again.
There are some suggestions in this link about how to attempt to recover lost songs using some 3rd party software.

  • Can I transfer songs from my admin account to a new user account?

I want to start using a user account as my main account instead of the admin account. I bought a bunch of songs from iTunes and downloaded them to my admin account.
Can I transfer these songs from my admin account to a new user account and then de-authorized the songs on my admin account?
    Thanks,
    Mark

If you don't change your iTMS account, you don't have to de-authorize.
Your computer is already authorized to play the songs.
This article tells you more about (de)authorization.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do you transfer songs from an i pod to the itunes library, how do you transfer songs from an i pod to the itunes library

how do you transfer from ipod to the itunes library

You cannot transfer songs from iPod to computer using iTunes (except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store).  However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do a Google search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.
NOTE:  For songs from the iTunes Store, you can also use the Purchased screen (in the iTunes Store) to find and re-download previous purchases (at no cost).

  • IS IT POSSIBLE TO TRANSFER SONGS FROM ONE IPOD TO ANOTHER?

I have an ipod full of songs and want to transfer those songs to a different Ipod. (My computer is broken so I cannot simply connect the second ipod to my computer) If I can get my hands on a new computer, is it possible to transfer the contents of my first ipod to the computer, then transfer those songs onto the second ipod?
    Thanks.

With the exception of songs purchased from the iTunes Store (which can be transferred from an iPod using iTunes), you have to use a third party utility. I use this one called Music Liberator
    http://www.zeleksoftware.com/
    but there are many others.
Once you get the songs off the iPod and into the new computer's iTunes, syncing the other iPod will complete the transfer.

  • Is it possible to transfer songs from iTunes into anotther program?

My friends wants some songs from my iTunes library and copy them to his Zune program, but when we tried, the songs had a lock on them. Both programs are on the same computer and the computer is authorized to play the songs..any suggestion on what to do?

If these are tracks purchased from the iTunes Store, they cannot be played on a Zune, just as Zune tracks cannot be played in iTunes or on an iPod.

Wife has a Kindle, Kid is buying an ipad. Can I transfer songs and pictures from amazon cloud over to icloud?

Yes, and there are a couple ways to do this, and it may depend on what kind of songs you are talking about.
If you purchased songs from Amazon's ecosystem, and it is stored in their cloud, you can do the following:
    1) Download their app.
The app is called Amazon Cloud Player. The link is here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/amazon-cloud-player/id510855668?mt=8
    2) Download the songs from their cloud, to your computer and then sync with iTunes
This is the method I use, and all the music is then stored in the Music app, already on the iOS device. The upside to this method would be that all the other applications you have can access these songs too, such as apps for an alarm clock.
    3) Upload pictures and songs to Dropbox
This way all the content is stored in the cloud, and can be accessed anywhere and anytime.
For the pictures, you're most likely going to have to sync with iTunes to do that, or you can put them in Dropbox.

  • I can't find my previous ??? concerning if it is possible to load songs from a "non-apple" device into iTunes

I can't fnd the question I asked in here roughly an hour ago - concerning if I can load songs from a "non-apple" device. I have a SanDisk that I'd like to load my songs into iTunes - is this possible?

    A.C.,
These links will give you several methods of recovering whatever songs remain on your iPod; some free, some third-party software, some more comprehensive for restoring Playlists, Ratings, Play Counts, etc. Read them and their associated links before deciding on a strategy that works for you. There are many various third-party software programs that will offer a more robust process, or an easier GUI. Do a Google search for them if the links below leave you wanting…
Don King Resurrected: Deleted files from hard drive (free user steps – music recovery only)
MacMuse: Computer Crashed (free user steps – music recovery only)
Copying music from iPod to computer (a primer on various methods and software)
Copying Songs from Your iPod to a Mac or PC (resource for 3rd party software)
    iPodRip Software
    PodUtil Software
Senuti (Mac OS X v10.3 or higher Recovery Utility)
XPlay (Software For Music Recovery &/or Cross-Platform Functionality)
XPlay Photo Browser (For recovering Photos)
After recovering your song files, strongly consider developing a thorough backup strategy for just this type of situation (and many other potential disasters).
You need at least two full sets of your music, not including what is on the iPod:
-- One full set on the PC within iTunes (on internal HD or ExHD)
-- One full set on an separate external backup medium (CD/DVD/ExHD/other)
-- One (full or partial) set on the iPod
Music files on just the iPod and only one other medium is not considered having any backup.
If you cannot store your complete music files on the computer’s internal HD, then create and maintain at least two external sets (any multiple combinations of ExHDs, DVDs, CDs).
Backup both the music files and the Library database file (iTunes Library.itl). What are the iTunes Library files?
Here is a post on developing a thorough backup strategy: http://discussions.apple.com/click.jspa?searchID=394618&messageID=1263275

  • Is it possible to transfer songs from a separate iTunes account into a new one?

I have a lot of songs saved on my Dad's mac under his apple ID.  I'd like to transfer the songs I've purchased/imported on his computer onto mine.  Is this possible through possibly the iCloud?  I'd like to avoid having to burn them all to a disc or what have you.

If the use the same Apple ID/iTunes account they can share the iTunes purchases.
If the Rahapsody songs are regular, non-DRM/Copy protected the just import them into your iTunes library and then sync
