Is it possible to treat a mpeg movie (selected area intensity profiles) with imaq ?

From a mpeg movie file (recorded with a digital camera in grayscale colors), I want to create some windows fixed in a selected area (always the same during all the treatment). Then, from this window, integrate all the grayscale level data for each image and thus get a plot represented the integrated intensity versus the time. Is it possible to make that kind of specific application using IMAQ ? Note, that my movie file resolution will be 800 000 pixels, and a rate of images from 50 down to 5 images per second.

I just updated IVision to version 1.3. It adds the support for media file formats such as *.mpeg, *.asf, *.avi (different from my existing avi functions that these new ones supports almost all avi compression format unlike VFW based avi functions). I also added capabilities to make LV vi to be callback vi so that real time video processing can be done better. So you can use IMAQ vision or my toolkit to code your image processing vi like you mentioned fixed ROI and calculates the intensity of it and display this in a graph updated with time while video streaming. Check out my site at:

there is a similar demo to show this.

  • My movies and movie rentals are not syncing with my ipad?  any ideas on why?

my tv shos, movies and movie rentals are not showing up on my iPad but do show up in my iTunes library.  Any ideas or reasons why they aren't transferring to my iPad when I sync it?

At the moment, I only have a couple of movies in my "Videos" folder.  About a month ago I did have 2 rental movies and they were in a subfolder which I think might have bee called rentals. After I watched them and aftet the 24 hour viewing period was up, they went bye-bye.
As to why you don't see any rentals, I don't think iTunes allows rental movies to be synced to another device.  I know they don't allow transfer from ATV to an iTunes folder on a computer.
Did you actually rent these missing videos directly to your iPad? If so, they should be there.  That's how I got the 2 rental movies that I had in my Videos folder.

  • HT204370 Why does our movie show up twice in the video/movie selection area? It seemed to download twice because I didn't know what it was doing. Am I charged twice ?

Good morning. I am a real rookie here, we downloaded a movie and now it is listed twice in our video/movie folder. Does this mean we are going to be charged twice? Thank you

  • Is it possible to make changes on object selection area???

    Hi friends,
I wanna ask a question about portal.
When we connect to portal we choose corporate documents , there are files of departmants like hr, it, corporate general ...
We want some changes in object selection area of these files. For example when we get into object selection area of IT there are objects like favorites, others, personel documents, common document, common documents.
    My question is
Can we deduct or hide some of these objects from object selection area? If we can, how can we do it?
    Thanks

    Hi,
We can hide those options by implementing the Layoutsets. If you need to hide those options for standard admin user itself, then you need to change the standard Layoutsets, which is not recommended. These options are defined in the "Command Group" of the Layoutsets.
You can Navigate to Layoutsets thru below path.
Sys Admin -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management ->Content Management -> User Interface -> Settings -> Layoutset
Tweaking over the Layoutset Command group properties will hide the options which you mentioned.
    Thanks,

  • No Audio on MPEG Movies with 7.1.5

I'm sure there is a reason for this, but maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I seemed to have lost all audio output in QT for MPEG movies only. QT movies play fine, WMV movies play fine through Flip4Mac, but MPEG movies are acting really buggy and have now lost sound.
    Any ideas?

I'm not really sure what kind of MPEG movie they are. How would you tell?Normally you would open the movie in the QT Player and then select the "Show Movie Info" Window Option to see what format is listed. "Muxed" format normally refers to MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 files. H.264 and MPEG-4 movie will usually list both their video and their audio compression format. If codecs are not shown, then the compression format(s) may not be QT compatible. Your original message implies that these files formerly played on you system. If true, then have you removed or added any QT components recently or done anything that might have modified your audio settings?

  • Is it possible to transfer videos or movies from sony laptop to  iphone 5s

is it possible to transfer videos or movies from sony laptop to  iphone 5s

Import them into an iTunes library, converting them to MPEG-4 if needed, and then sync the iPhone with that library.

  • Can I move MPEG movie from Mac to my iPad?

Can I move a protected MPEG movie from Mac to my iPad?

Protected with what and in what way?
As long as you can drop the mpeg into iTunes you should be able to sync it from iTunes to your iPad with the supplied cable in the usual way you'd sync anything else from iTunes to your iPad.

  • Won't display mpeg, mov, avi correctly

    Hello all.
    I am using CS4.
I've had this same issue the entire time I've had CS4, but I thought I'd ask on here.
I see lots of people have different issues with different file types, but I can't seem to find a standard answer.
My issues is that my premiere will import, and play, mpeg, mov, and avi, HOWEVER, I get the following issues:
#1: Red "flashes". Every few seconds, the video will flash red (like one giant colour matte over the entire thing). It's just a flash, but makes it impossible to use the footage.
#2: Sometimes it will play mov without the flash, but doesn't give me a separate audio track to work with (this doesn't concern me too much as I rarely work with mov - mostly just when using footage off my canon non video camera, but if there's a solution, I wouldn't mind hearing it).
The only file type it will play without any issues is wav (oddly enough). On the other hand, these tend to be pixelled (although I don't know if this issue is the wav file, or that I used DVD shrink to capture the video from DVD - I make fan videos. I convert the video files from DVD shrink to mpeg, or whatever else, via Prism).
I can also play mts files from my Sony camcorder without any issues at all.
Someone suggested the issue may be that I also have Roxio installed on the computer (and it was installed first) and told me only one or the other can play these file types (Roxio has no issues). But I'd like to avoid having to uninstall and reinstall everything (and I do use Roxio to make DVDs, as I haven't learned Encore yet).
    Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for the reply.
All the DVDs in question are official DVDs bought from stores. These aren't bootleg DVDs.
Yes, sorry, wmv. (Pixelled example at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEKlJ16-vo4 @ 0:33. You'll note the clips before these two don't have that same pixel issue - it seems random, but even if I import the episode again, the same eps will always pixel. Even when another ep from the same disc does not. Again, official DVDs, not bootlegs).
I've tried to import them as the vob files, but they wouldn't import.
Is CS4.2 an upgrade, or something I have to purchase?
I didn't really understand your article as to how it relates to this matter (as in, suggestions of what I can do to fix the problem).
But your answer only seems to speak to vob files. It doesn't explain why I have issues with the other files. I have these issues whether it's the original video file type (ex: downloaded from a camera), a download from youtube (quicktime), avi download from ANYWHERE, or burned myself with DVD shrink from an actual DVD (from the store) and converted (I use Prism).
The files play, and have audio. They just have this annoying red flash.
Ex: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Op3khVVS6ig @ 2:53ish. Right as the red lightning in the shot ends, you'll see the red flash I'm talking about. This video was made entirely from footage downloaded from youtube, and was then converted to wmv after I saw the quicktime files were glitching (the example is one I didn't bother to convert since it sort of worked with the shot, so I decided not to bother).

  • Is it possible to play a Flash movie in a 63" HDTV monitor

    Dear all,
Hope my questions are make sense!
Firstly, is it possible to sync the Flash movie on a 63" HDTV
monitor from a PC notebook, but also keeping the quality of the
graphic (I am afraid the graphic will look blury when display on a
large monitor). Secondly, what size should I make for the Flash
file? Lastly, because I am going to load a video externally, what
is the best way to do it?
    Thank you for you help!

The bigger (more pixels) flash movie goty, the higher quality
    you will get on HDTV.
create a high resolusion flash movie, try to make it exactly
    what your HDTV support.

  • Old mpeg movies to imovie

I can't load my old mpeg movies into imovie to do editing?
    My camera defaults to mpeg.
I've made the apple conversion and can't figure this out!

You need to convert mepg video to iMovie - MOV or MP4.

  • Is it possible to download a dvd movie into my itunes account so i can put it on my ipad?

Is it possible to download a dvd movie into my itunes account so i can put it on my ipad? If so, how?

Sorry, but if you're referring to commercial and hence copy-protected video DVDs, breaking the copy protection, which would be necessary to copy the videos from the DVD and convert them, is illegal in the US (and other countries) and hence Apple explicitly forbids such posts. We're therefore not allowed to discuss it here.   Some DVDs and Blu-Ray movies come with a "digital copy" that allows you to download a copy of the movie for use on computers and portable devices. You might see if any of the DVDs you have come with such a feature. Walmart/Vudu also has a service that basically gives you a digital copy of a DVD you already own. See:
    http://www.vudu.com/disc_to_digital.html
If these are home movies that you or someone has burned to DVD and hence are not copy-protected, Handbrake (freeware) is one of the more popular converters. Once converted, you just drag the movie into the iTunes window on your computer.
    Regards.

  • Import MPEG movie files

How do import files that are saved from my camera in MPEG movie format? The files end in ".MPG"

Don't you need to purchase the Apple QuickTime MPEG2 Playback Component ($20 from Apple) to do this?
On a similar subject (I posted elsewhere but with no reply)...
is there any benefit in purchasing Quicktime Pro rather than the MPEG2 component? Will Quicktime Pro achieve the same result? Reason I ask is that the codec costs $20 and Quicktime Pro £20 so not too much difference in price. I could see me using QT Pro in the future but I only have 2 dvds of home movies in VOB format that I'd like to convert, and am unlikely to have any more in the future. Hence making the codec purchase a one off payment of $20...
    Any advice?
    Regards
    Shakey

  • Is it possible to set an embedded movie to Autoplay?

Is it possible to set an embedded movie to Autoplay? (Other than the intro movie) I don't see a setting for it.

No I didn't try it, it dosn't matter.
Media files auto play all ready, so do keynotes.
When they are full screen only they auto play.
    HTML5 only plays full screen
so even if someone does get a html5 widget to auto play a video
it will still require a tap (to go full screen) so it will be just like the media or keynote widget. ie it dosn't matter, the end effect is the same as using a media widget. one tap required.
If someone can get a html5 widget to play in place or automaticly go full screen apon entering the page,
    that is different.
