Is it possible to uninstall Windows 7 in Parallels 6?

I have to be really honest about this , I installed a fake windows7 to test my Parallels Desktop. I want to remove the old Windows 7 and reinstall a new one..now a licensed software.
But I have some programs installed in it which I do not want to remove, will it still preserve the programs if I remove the old fake one and install the new genuine Windows 7 program
I know its a bit embarassing but I do need help , and I cant get the right help if I wont be truthful bout the matter
Thanks

You should be asking Parallels related questions in the Parallels forums.
No you can't save your installed programs. They will be removed when you remove Windows. Windows keeps installed program information in is registry which will be removed.
After re-installing Windows you will need to re-install your programs. You can save your data though. Just back your data up to another drive, dvd, or thumb drive BEFORE removing Windows. Then put the data back after installing your new Windows.

  • How do I uninstall window 7 and Parallels 8  from my MBP?

I fairly new to the Apple Mac and somewhat hesitance on what install and uninstall (moving to the trash).  On to the question How do I uninstall both window 7 and parallels 8 from my MBP?  I'm using OS X ML 10.8.2  The reason is I throught I had to use a window based only program for some personal work that I do, but I didn't have to after all.  The biggest reason is to free up disk space, I don't like program I don't use wasting space.

Let me get this clear - you're running Windows 7 under Parallels 8 and want to uninstall both?
    Pretty simple - http://kb.parallels.com/en/114624. And http://kb.parallels.com/en/5029.

  • Uninstall windows xp and parallel from mac

    HI,
I have parallels and windows xp installed on my mac.
How do I completely uninstall xp and then completely uninstall parallel?
I have been using it for a month now and think it's pretty poor - so I'm going to change to boot camp as it seems like a bit of a safer option for when doing important university work.
    Thanks

Before you uninstall anything, do some more research. It seem to remember reading somewhere that there was a method of installing boot camp and transferring Windows XP from the Parallels folder.
You may also want to consider how much RAM you have to support Windows in Parallels.

  • Is it possible to install Windows 7 without using BCA to install drivers and using the support 5 software for drivers on my iMac 2014?

What I am wondering is if I can install Windows 7 on my iMac 2014 without using BCA to install drivers and using the manual download Support software without bricking my system. The issue is that I recently moved into the country without a reliable data connection, so I'd like to download all the drivers from when I'm in town generally. Any info is appreciated.

    Hello,
I'm trying to purchase inexpensive computers for my classroom. One of the computers I'm looking at is the new $200 HP Stream 11. My school's IT department said it might be difficult to install the district's copy of Windows 7 on these computers if I purchase them. Does anyone know if it's actually possible to uninstall Windows 8.1 and install Windows 7 using an external USB or external CD Rom Drive? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The District is right to say what they told you they can't install Disctrict Windows 7 on your computer because they have a license agreements with MS and doing so will violate their Terms of Agreement. And you shouldn't be asking something like that to start with. If that laptop can't install Windows 7 it then your stuck with WIndows 8 unless HP has downgrade to go back to Windows 7 on it otherwise if none exist you will not get any drivers or support for it. You best luck is to find a used Windows 7 laptop and order the HP recovery media for it and wipe it clean to factory install and register it to you and that will give you a Windows 7 maching to start with.

  • Is it possible to uninstall IE 11 from Windows Server 2012 R2 and replace it with the latest version of IE 10?

Is it possible to uninstall IE 11 from Windows Server 2012 R2 and replace it with the latest version of IE 10? We have a remote desktop farm setup with 2012 R2 servers and we are publishing some web links that only work with IE10. As a result, we need to
downgrade the remote desktop servers to IE10. I have a feeling that this isn't possible, but if I could get a definitive answer, I would greatly appreciate it, thank you!

    Hi,
    Agreed with DonPick.
Internet Explorer 11 is preinstalled with Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2.

  • I GIVE UP!  Is it possible to uninstall Leopard and go back to Tiger?

I am ready to give up for now. Is it possible to uninstall and go back to Tiger?

If you were wise you would consider other options just besides getting rid of Leopard and throwing it away. First, you could wait until Apple releases OS 10.5.1, then install and update to it. This might help take care of some problems. You could dual boot OS 10.4.10 and 10.5 as long as you have the OS 10.4 full install Disk and the OS 10.5 full install disk. I personally will wait until at least Christmas time before I install Leopard. New OS's are always full of bugs. On the Microsoft side, I've read where Windows Vista is still having major problems and is taking a long time to become widely used. These problems take time to fix. When Windows XP came out nobody would upgrade to it because of all it's bugs, now Windows XP is considered the standard on PCs. Mac OS 10.4 was also full of bugs at first, but now we talk about how rock solid it is. Simply give Apple time to fix these problems.

  • How do I uninstall Windows Media Player 11 (from Windows XP)

I tried to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 using the 2 methods in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934372/en-us
The 1st method rolled back Windows Media Player 11 , but I want to uninstall it.
The 2nd method gave me the following pop-window:
    Run
C:\WINDOWS\$ntUninstallwmp11$\spuninst refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network,
and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location.
I am surprised that Microsoft supplies a product that one cannot uninstall.
I would very much like to uninstall Windows Media Player 11 -
If that is not possible, I could re-install it.
    Thanks for any helo.

  • Is it possible to "uninstall" the Technical Preview?

Simple as that, is it possible to uninstall the technical preview and go back to the previous setting?

    As per the FAQ
Is there a problem you are needing help with?
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/preview-faq#faq=tab0
If you want to go back to your previous operating system
You'll need to reinstall your version of Windows from the recovery or installation media that came with your PC (typically DVD media). If you don't have recovery media:
For Windows 7 or Windows Vista: Before you update, you might be able to create recovery media from a recovery partition on your PC using software provided by your PC manufacturer. Check the support section of your PC manufacturer's
    website for more info.
For Windows 8.1 or Windows 8: You might be able to create a USB recovery drive. For more info, seehttp://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-usb-recovery-drive

  • TS1717 Is it possible to uninstall & reinstall iTunes and not have to redo all of my playlists etc.?

Is it possible to uninstall & reinstall iTunes and not have to redo all of my playlists etc.?
I updated iTunes and the installation failed and now I cannot open iTunes.  The fix is to unistall and reinstall iTunes but I don't want to have to redo all of my playlists and things.

Do not worry all your Data including Playlist, etc. will remain as it is.
    Do the following:
Uninstall from Windows the following five programs: iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour and Apple Application Support. You do this from an applet in Control Panel called Programs & Features (in Windows 8, 7, or Vista) or Add or Remove Programs (in Windows XP).
Download the latest version of iTunes from Apple and note the location you're saving it to so you can find it once it's done.
Run the iTunes installation as an administrator, just Right click iTunes installer and Run as Administrator.
Note : If you are unable to Remove Apple Mobile Device Support you can skip that.

  • Uninstall Windows Security Update via Intune

    Hi all
Some of our users are using Propalms-software which has reported a problem with Microsoft Windows update KB2830477.
This update was installed by Intune. Is it possible to uninstall this update via Intune?
    Thx!
    Dany

I know this is very old but I’m trying to clean up old posts. Did you ever solve this? If so it would be good if you could post the solution to assist others. If not, at this
stage, as nobody has answered, I would recommend that you call Intune support if the issue still exists.
You will find your local Intune support number here
