Hi,
You can replace the HDD but you can't ADD SSD to your computer. It does not have spare room. You can replace HDD with a new SSD up to current limit. I bought one Crucial 960Gb two weeks ago from Amazon, received it on Monday. Don't know where to put it because my laptops all have SSD's.

So, for us to give advice we need to know what you have because that will determine what else you can add or how else your storage can be configured. You have a very complicated and flexible computer.

Additional ssd for w540

i have lenovo thinkpad w540 with 256gb ssd - with two partitions ,one for windows os and another lenovo recovery partition.i also a removable dvd dive installed.
now i was planning to add another ssd of 128gb.i can even go for 256 ssd if its not to expensive
is it possible that on the new ssd(128gb) i install the windows os and the recovery partition.(for this i suppose i have to uninstall the windows from the current ssd and do a reinstall of the same on the new ssd )
and use the old ssd(256gb), creating two partitions, one for installing the programes and the second one for data storage.
if the above mentioned is possible, how to proceed?

IMac 27 internal HDD possible to eject permanently (after additional SSD upgrade)?

hello everybody,
would like to expand my imac (mid 2010) with a second SSD hard drive,
and would like to use primary HDD just for some special reasons and not all the time,
it would be very annoying, if the HDD runs/awakes/stops all the time because of spotlight, istatmenu or some system integrated processes ..
i guess, disk utility will not unmount permanently and energy saving option for harddrives will either not help,
does anybody know, if is possible to eject the HDD permanently, so if i can decide to mount it when i need it?

Is it possible to upgrade a computer that qualifies for Mavericks to Mountain Lion via a content code purchase from the Mac App Store?

I inherited a situation where a previous consultant purchased a Mountain Lion installer code from the Apple Store but Mountain Lion was never installed. I obtained a new installer code from Apple based on the valid purchase of the Mountain Lion software last month.
The Mountain Lion installer appears under Purchases in the Mac App Store, but nothing happens when I try to download it. When I try to redeem the purchase by inserting the content code I get a message indicating that the content code has already been redeemed.
I don't mind spending $20 to purchase a fresh content/installer code, but I would like some assurance that the Mountain Lion software can be installed on a computer that qualifies for Mavericks. Not wanting to upgrade to Mavericks is not my idea but is that of my client.
Or to put it another way, does Apple prohibit such an install unless the computer in question does not qualify for a Mavericks upgrade?

It is your decision which OS you want to upgrade to - Apple does not place such restrictions (unless the machine specs do not meet the OS's specs or vice versa). So, if yours does meet Mavericks specs, it can run any OS newer than what it came with.

Was this purchase done on this same Mac? If so and someone else purchased the OS, then the likely answer is: any OS or app obtained at the app store is not transferable - its' license is tied to the original purchaser's Apple ID forever. So, it may have been a valid purchase, but it is tied to the purchaser, not you.
In order to get past that, you will need to wipe the drive booting from either the original install disk (which OS did the Mac come with?) or using recovery if it was Lion. After wiping the drive, reinstall the original system, and then you can purchase and download any OS version you'd like using your own Apple ID.
Let me know if I misunderstood the situation.

Additional Fields for Substitution

Is it possible to add additional fields for substitution in OBBH.
When I checked in OBBH I didnt find the Document type in the available list.
I want to substitute document type for each profit center wise for each transaction.

For your requirement that field not available in header level in substitution so first we have to get that field through this way
If you want Document type BKPF-BLART - in header level .
Go to SM30 there Give Program name VWTYGB01 select maintain button.
There select the table BKPF and field names BLART and remove the check box exculde flag for those fields.
Now check that field is availabel in header level at OBBH

You can use these solutions:
1) use the fields control (CMOD), insert a new rule that if the field is empty action is disabled.
2) insert a custom validation before the action
3) modify feederclass to on/off the action

I just bought a 27" iMac a couple of months ago. Specifications: 16BG RAM, 2TB HDD, 2GB VRAM. Can I pay Apple to add a 256GB (Which is the highest Apple allows) SSD for me? I would like to dual boot Windows 7/8 on it so I can play games when I'm bored (Skyrim). Despite what I've been told I have done my research and partitioning a dual boot HDD does NOT slow it down if done correctly and in some cases can be faster than having two separate HD's in it. I would like to move OS X to the SSD and add Windows to my HDD with all the other content from my OS X on it (I know this is a complex layout). I don’t care about semantics I just want to know will Apple add an SSD for me if I pay them to do so.

You can put two 2gb RAM sticks in your model 2,1 but it can only use 3,3gb. This is a hardware limitation and cannot be changed.

I know that I'm able to include some notes, or to highlight paragraph; what I want to know if is it possible to make a summary of the book; or add additional features such as Publisher, if I read or not; language, etc. And show in the information for each book … In the application there's only: title, author, genre … How can add additional features as a reference for the ebook as a whole, and see them at the same level of the author, genre, etc.
For example

The first three items are the default items … what I want to include is the others (as an example) … And create a box or something to make a summary of the book.
Sorry for the bothering … but I was (and I suppose I'm not the only one) very comfortable with iTunes format for Music; but iBooks lost quite everything compared to iTunes; and it looks like a mere Kindle application.

Use the Edit ➙ Shot Fonts menu option to bring up the Fost selection pane.
From there you can select any font you have installed on your Mac.
