Is it possible to use a non-null sender in auto-reply / out of office messages?

I am using a smarthost that blocks null senders by default.  They have indicated that they can provide an override for our server to allow null senders, but the e-mail from null senders will go out a "high risk" IP that is likely to get
blacklisted because e-mail from null senders is triggering more blacklisting as of late.  I would prefer to make Exchange populate the sender field on the outbound auto-reply / out of office messages.  Is this possible?

Hi PRDIT,
Based on my knowledge, it is impossible to achieve this goal by normal method directly.
Thanks

  • Is it possible to use BAPI-ALE to send an idoc using the message control?

    Hi Guys
Is it possible to use BAPi-ALE to send an IDOC using a message control?
I have configured the system to send an IDOC when a outbound delivery is saved in the system.
    I have done the following.
1). I am using the std BAPI-ALE interface provided by the object type LIKP.
2). I am using the method SAVEREPLICA for which an interface already exists in BDBG transaction.
3). I hace created a distribution model in BD64 and added the BAPI - LIKP and SAVEREPLICA
4). Created a partner profile ( using the generate partner profile option in the BD64 transaction )
    QUESTION:
1). How do i associate the custom OUTPUT type created for Delivery ?
2). I tried to associate the custom output type in the Partner profile definition under the message control tab but i am not sure which Process code to be used? Since the partner profile was generated automatically from BD64 it has an entry for SHP_OBDLV_SAVE_REPLICA as a message type in the outbound parameters. and i am unable to find a process code for this Message type in WE41. So what process code should i use in the Message control tab against the custom output type?
3). Do i need to leave the message control tab empty without making any entry? If yes then how would the system come to know that it needs to trigger this partner profile when the custom output type is proposed by the system?
will award points for useful answers

  • How to configure selective automatic reply (out of office) using Exchange2010

Hi, I want to configure automatic reply to eveyone except for some specific mail address - this need need to be configured through the OWA interface and not through the Outlook 2010 client.
Automatic reply (out of office) is limited to all incoming messages (no way to specify exception list of mail) and rules cannot be configured without the outlook client running....
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
Based on my understanding, you want to configure OOF excluding some specific users, this means that automatic reply shouldn't be sent to these specific users. I'm afraid it's hard to achieve this. The only available way is to emulate this
by using a rule in Outlook.

  • Is it possible to use a non-by default function to compute in categories?

when you create a category and/or subcategory in numbers, by default, you can make just five numeric computations in every subgroup: subtotal, average, min, max and count.
It is possible to add a new computation type to that menu, like standard error or standard deviation?
    thanks

Not that I know of. You could do something like what is shown below if you have just one level of categorization. It involves some manual work if you add more categories and, as written, doesn't work for sub categories.
I changed the text color of table 1 column C to white so the numbers wouldn't show in each row. The category formula in column C can be min, max, or average.
The STDEV formulas in table 2 have weird references but each is really just the entire column. To create the reference to a column, click on the column letter. The STDEVs are in a header row so the results of the formulas become the names of the columns and the formulas then use those names. Kind of circular but it all works. Maybe if you put the STDEV in row 1 instead of row 2 (and change all formulas accordingly) it would use "one" , "two", and "three" as the references.
I'm not so sure I like this but I offer it up anyway.

  • Possible to use a Non-Apple, Non-OEM powersupply in Powermac MDD?

Hello, I need to replace my power supply unit. Has anyone had any success in using a new stock PC powersupply, such as one made my Antec or others? If so, what must one look for in the specs?
I find it more reasonable to spend $50 on a new, better power supply than $250 on an old or used noisy one, but will it work?

Hi! They are different so read THIS. You can buy new ones HERE, HERE, On THIS SITE, HERE and used or refurbished ones HERE. Tom

  • HT5463 Is it possible to use DND  on a single number and will this apply to messages as well?

Can you use DND on a single phone number?

What do you mean by "use DND"? Do you mean you want to block a single user? Or let only a single user through. The latter would be fairly simple. Just make that person the only "Favorite" and set DND to allow only favorites through.  Blocking only one person can be simply accomplished by assigning them customer ring and text tones of silence.

  • Using unicode in sms sending :)plz. urgent reply is needed.

when i want to send a sms of string of unicode. is it necessary to encode it in UTF8 or UTF16 ???
when i encode it then the length of the string comes larger.
can i send sms as a string of unicode without changing its length????
    like this:
    String str="\u270F";
    // now str's length is 1
    str = new String(str.getBytes("UTF16"));
    //now str's length is 4!!!!!!!!
    plz. urgent reply is needed.
    best regards
    tanvir

By default SMS has it's own text encoding and therefore you cannot use UTF8 nor UTF16. There is a special UCS2 encoding, alowing for 70 unicode characters to be send (per sms). See: http://www.dreamfabric.com/sms/

  • Possible to use non-AT&T wireless card with iPad??

Thinking of getting an iPad, however I travel frequently and after looking at the outlandish prices for international data plans, I am about ready to give up on the idea. Anyone know if it is possible to use a non-AT&T wireless card with the iPad? I'm guessing there would be a compatibility issue of some sort.

The 3G iPad is not locked to a particular service provider. You can get a local Sim card and data plan in many countries. This article will give you some idea of what's available: http://gigaom.com/2010/05/10/ipad-data-plan-guide/

  • Using a non-mac powersupply?

Hey there, I recently purchased a powermac G4 but it turns out it has a bad power supply. I can't read any of the print on the old supply anymore, and I have a bunch of pc supply's sitting around so I was wondering if it is possible to use a non mac powersupply, and if so what wattage I need

To ID your G4, take a look at the following:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58418
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=42739
For wiring mods to an ATX PSU for a Sawtooth, take a look at the instructions here:
    http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/systems/ATXG4_AGP_conversion/G4_AGP_to_ATX_casepg2.htm#next
    and here:
    http://www.outofspec.com/frankenmac/wire.shtml
The OutofSpec site also has instructions and pinouts for non Sawtooth models.
As far as wattage goes, a good quality 300+ watt PSU will be plenty, and provide power for expanding the system later on. Put in 400 watts if you think about adding SATA drives with a controller card. You will easily be able (depending on model) to run up to 4 hard drives (internal), upgraded graphics card with fan, upgraded CPU with fan, and 2 optical drives.

  • Using FetchType.LAZY when sending entity to remote client

Is it possible to use FetchType.LAZY when sending an entity (let's say Person) to a remote client? I'm fine with the fact that a call to person.getAddress() would have to return null o throw an exception of some sort. But, is it possible to even send the Person object when using lazy fetching?

yeah, if you add the CMP jars to the client, it should work, but, if they attempt to introspect the lazy collection, a runtime exception will be thrown since their local copy does not have access to the backing DB... ..I understand the hesitance to have separate object types for different consumers, but, in some cases, it can save time in the long run because you a) avoid these access exceptions and b) have a middle API that can insulate the client or server from changes on the other end (i.e. the server now holds all 'tenants' as a Set, rather then List, but the VO objects still return it as a List so that client code does not need to be updated). You can also find tools to generate the value objects, so your development costs aren't too much hire during the initial release...

  • Using more than one Send connector

    Hello
Is it possible to use more than one send connector? Of course it is ;-), but also whit this requirement? I have an additional domain hosted on my exchange. This domain has to use a smarthost with authentication. Now, only this two users should could use this connector. It would be cool, if there is a permission config to allow a group and deny the others or something like this... What could be a solution?
    Thanks
    Norbert

    Hi,
Would help to know the version of the Exchange in your environment.
For Exchange 2003, please do the configuration on the send connector.
Expand ESM, Administrative Groups, Routing Groups, Connector, right click the send connector, select the Properties, in the Delivery Restrictions, please apply with the corresponding group.
For Exchange 2007, routing based on specific senders or a group is not supported in Exchange 2007 by design.
    Thanks

  • Auto-reply using rules

    Hi there!
I'm trying to find out how to send an auto-reply using Rules in Mail 3.6
Or, to be more precise, i'm trying to understand how to do it PROPERLY: in fact this morning my boss called me to say he got approx. 60 emails from me, replying even mails from 2009/2010... and it was EMBARRASING!!
    Some questions:
    - when a Rule is set to auto-reply, does my own reply appear in the 'Sent' mailbox afterwards? Not in my case. Is it normal? I cannot see my reply 'flying away' in the 'Mail Activity' window either...
    - when i press the '<' button in front of the received mail, that usually opens the mail i've sent as reply, i got a error window "Error. Mail was unable to find your response to the message “xxxxx”. You may have deleted the message." even if the correct reply generated by Rules was actually sent. Again, any idea why this happens?
    - when a Rule is created, does it apply to ANY message in the mailbox, including old ones, or only to new mails?
    That's it for now...
    Thanks for help,
    J.

Ok, after some more trials i've got the answer for my 3rd question... I have to click "Don't Apply" to avoid the rule to be applied to old messages.
But let's agree that the whole window:
"Do you want to apply your rules to messages in selected mailboxes?
Applying rules to the selected mailboxes may change their contents. Active rules will always be applied to new  messages."
    is quite ambiguous.
I'm still wondering the reason for the behaviour described in my first two questions...
    Thanks,
    J.

  • Using the RFC adapter (sender), how do I know which RFC is being sent?

    Hello everyone!
Has anyone used the RFC adapter (sender) in XI to pick up RFC messages? How would I know which RFC is triggered for example when a user creates a PO (purchase order)?
    Warm Regards,
    Glenn

    Glenn,
When u are writinfg RFC program, u will have destination right?  There u know u have to give RFC Destination(SM59) while creating RFC destination we will be giving Program ID .
Similarly in XI while creating Sender RFC u have to give the program id. So with these program id these programs are linked together and triggered from R/3 to the exact Sender adapter.
Please see Michal weblog for more details
