Is it possible to use an iPad as the display for Mac Mini?

Can an iPad 2 be used as the monitor on a Mac mini? Either by using Air Display or by cabling?

Yes !
You can use iPad as the display for your mac mini. but it will be your secondary display .. i.e. you need to have a primary display other that iPad.
use teamviwer for that.

    Is it possible to use an iMac as the display for a Mac mini?

    iMacs late 2009 or newer can be used in Target display
    mode.  Any older, no can do.
    The only other way is via network Screen Sharing or
    some otherVPN network like solution.  The issue here
    though is that video performance will be pretty severely
    hampered.

  • Why is there no official support from apple to use an iPad as second display for mac/PC?

    I know there are one or two apps for that but they work over a wifi network, which is very laggy. I feel like an official solution would work ten times better, especially if apple'd be willing to construct a new port on the iPad to make it wired. This will eliminate lag and power issues.
    I personally love the ipad, but it has literally zero added value to my life. If this particular option becomes available though, I'll buy an iPad that same day.

    Send your suggestion to Apple.

  • How do I use my iPad as the display and input device for my Mac Mini?

    I plan to have the following stereo configuration:
    Integrated amplifier with USB input that supports up to 24/192 audio, the Peachtree Nova 125
    Mac Mini with USB connection to amp, wifi to the Internet, housed in the equipment cabinet with the integrated amp, no other music source.  No display or keyboard connected to the Mac Mini.
    I would like to use my iPad as the display and to control the Mac Mini to run Pandora, iTunes, Spotify, podcasts, etc.
    Anyone have success with this general configuration?

    You need a set of apps (one for iPad and another for computer) like Team viewer or Go to my PC

  • Ipad as standalone monitor for mac mini

    Hi everybody!!!
    How can i use my ipad air as standalone monitor for my mac mini?
    Can i connect them without internet connection???

    There are apps that allow using an iPod as a secondary monitor for a computer. I do not think it can be the only monitor but maybe after you first use a regular monitor to setup the iPad monitor. You will have to look at the description of the apps/go to theri support site

  • Using my iMac as a monitor for Mac mini.

    I'd like to use my mid 2010 27" iMac as a monitor for my Mac mini. Is this possible with thunderbolt?

    You'll use the thunderbolt port on your mini and connect to the mini display port on the iMac. use a mini display to mini display cable.

  • Using Acer LCD TV as monitor for mac mini

    Hi
    I'm trying to use an Acer LCD TV (AL2671W) as a monitor for my mac mini.
    The only way I can get it to work is booting the mini when connected to a different monitor then plugging in the AL2671W - this then works fine. If I boot when connected to the AL2671W I receive a No Signal message.
    Any help would be much appreciated!

    If you have a second computer at your disposal that can be networked to your mini, consider establishing a VNC connection between the two. You can then remotely make a resolution selection on the mini while the Acer TV is attached to the mini, even in the absence of a useable screen being displayed on the Acer. Once you have remotely made the selection of your choosing that gives a satisfactory display on the Acer, it should stay that way permenantly.

  • Can I use my iMac 2.16Ghz  running OSX 10.6.8 as a display for Mac mini

    I have an older iMac with 2 Gb Ram running OSX 10.6.8 that I would like to use as a display for a new Mac Mini.  Can it be done? what would I need to do it?
    Thanks

    If your configuration supports Target Display mode, use it. If not, use a product such as ScreenRecycler.

  • Can I turn off the monitor for Mac Mini and use it as a music server?

    I am in the process of upgrading my PC most likely to a Mac product. With the non-server version of Mac OS X, can I turn off the monitor connected to a Mac Mini and use it as a streaming server? Or I have to get the server version of OS X to do that?

    I plan to run Logitech Media Server on the Mac to stream music to players. Each player interacts with the Logitech Media Server to select songs to stream. When I turn on a player, it will wake up the computer from the sleep mode.
    Currently, this Logitech Media Server runs on a Windows Vista machine and it will keep the PC from entering sleep mode while playing the songs. After I play the last song, the PC will start the idle count down and then enter into sleep mode.
    Do you see any problem with my intended use of a Mac Mini?

  • Use HD trashed iMac as monitor for Mac Mini?

    I have a 20" iMac that recently had a hard drive failure that I  have not been able  to overcome. Rather than trashing it, is there a way to use it as a display for a Mac Mini?

    Maybe if you are very good at electronics. There is not easy way on older iMacs. If it was a newer one with a Thunderbolt connection then yes.
    If you can install a good HD with OSX you can use screen sharing.

  • Using a View as the DataSource for a Matrix

    Does anyone know if it is possible to use a view as the datasource for a matrix?  For example, I have created a view named 'VW1' with 4 columns (1 being ItemCode).  Here is the code that tries to set this view as the datasource for a matrix:
    tableName = "VW1";
    dbDataSource = sboForm.DataSources.DBDataSources.Add(tableName);
    // Add the bind columns
    column = columns.Add(COL_VALUE_UID, SAPbouiCOM.BoFormItemTypes.it_EDIT);
    column.DataBind.SetBound(true, tableName, "ItemCode");
    This last line of this code hangs but if I put a try around it, the GetLastError does not return anything.  Is it because views cannot be used as datasources or is there something else I am missing?

    Hi David,
    You can use a view as a matrix datasource if you use UserDataSources instead of DBDataSources.
    UserDataSource DSSubJobID = form.DataSources.UserDataSources.Add("SubJobID", SAPbouiCOM.BoDataType.dt_LONG_NUMBER, 12);
    Col = GridMain.Columns.Item(ColSubJobID);
    Col.DataBind.SetBound(true, "", DSSubJobID.UID);
    You then need to manually set the value of the UserDataSource e.g:
    Reader = Command.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior.SequentialAccess);
    GridMain.Clear();
    int RowNo = 1;
    while (Reader.Read())
       DSSubJobID.Value = SubJobID.ToString();
       //set other user datasources here
       //add a row the matrix
       GridMain.AddRow(1, -1);
    Regards, Lita

  • Use 24 in iMac as a screen for mac mini

    Can I use 24 in iMac as screen for mac mini?

    I can see that there is no way to use the iMac screen thru standard methods.  As the iMac is out of warranty and the DVD/CD drive no longer works I am willing to have the iMac's case opened and have some jerry-rigged solution installed.  Does anyone have an idea as to how that can be done
