Is it possible to use FDM ERPI drill-through via Add-in Excel V11

Hi
I am using FDM ERPI 11.1.2.1 to load data from Oracle eBS GL (11.5) to Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.1.
The drill-through from Hyperion Planning to Oracle eBS GL via FDM ERPI is ok through Smartview and the data forms.
Do you know if it is ok through the Add-In Excel V11?

You cannot use the Classic Spreadsheet (Excel) Add-In if that is what you are referring to.
As the other post indicates it will only work via Smart View.

Yes, you can load data to Essbase with ERPi and then drill through from Essbase to ERPi and then from ERPi to the source system GL.
Within the source system registration in ERPi you will need to update the Drill URL to the EBS url for drill to function.

Drill-through via Transparent Partition

I am using Essbase Server and EIS 11.1.1. I have a ASO target cube which points to different ASO source cubes partitioned on dates. Each source cube has defined a drill-through report and this drill-through reports work fine if I access them directly from Excel add-in. But when I access these source cubes via my target cube (transparent partition) drill-through reports don't work (no visual effect on intersection cells). When I double click on them I cannot see my drill-through reports. Could anyone tell me what I am doing wrong here please? According to documentation, I should be able to drill-through via tranparent partioned target cube.

Thank you for the reply but Essbase Studio does NOT support drill-through from Recursive Hierarchy dimensions. That's why I had to go back to EIS.

[NCR][ODBC Teradata][Teradata Database] Syntax error- expected something between the word '<<Databasename>>' and the word 'ai'.Unable to get catalog string.

You are saying the dynamic query was generated, did you copy the query and tried to execute it in the database client. Check the SQl for any errors and also in the did you see any SQL errors?

Is it possible to use a keyboard sounds through midi on Logic 8?

The thing that I'm asking, is to do it the opposite.
I mean, you're able to use your midi controller such as M-Audio with the sounds from the software, for instance "Main Stage part of Logic Pro" , but I'm wandering If you Can do it the opposite way.
Using the Sounds Bank from the Keyboard through the interface and then recording as midi track, no an audio track.

If they were really a software company, support wouldn't cost an arm and a leg as the expense of the software would (somewhat) offset the support costs. (what is it now, $200 a call for pro help?)
I've beta tested enough to know how much time and money software support costs.

Using indicator in drill through report

Hey there,
I'm working with Reporting Services in SharePoint mode using Sql Server 2012.
I created a child report which gets several values from another report.
I used one of these passed parameters as value for an indicator. When I deploy this report and access it on my SharePoint (Version 2013), the indicator is not shown, the field stays empty. When I create an indicator in the main report everything works how it's
supposed to work.
Do you know why the indicator is not displayed and how I can fix this?

Per my understanding that you have insert the indicator in the child report and the value to for the indicator comes from the parameter of this child report which passing from the main report, now the indicator didn't display, when you insert the indicator
in the main report, it will works fine, right?
I have tested on my local environment and can't reproduce the issue. I would like to know if the indicator in the child report works fine when you preview in the designer and which type and version of version did you access the sharepoint?
If all work fine in the designer, this issue may be caused by a compatibility problem of the browser. In this scenario, I suggest you to turn on Compatibility View of browser.

Drill-through from Workspace not possible?

Hello everybody,
I am working on Hyperion System 9.3.1
I have a cube with some drill-through reports.
I can drill-through from Add-In Excel and WebAnalysis reports but not from Workspace.
Example: For the same WebAnalysis report
- when opened with WA Studio allows drill-through at double click in the cell;
- when opened from Workspace, at double-click in the cell the Related Content windows opens up but I can't see my drill reports. Is that normal?

In version 11.1 they added support for cube drill-through. In 9.3.1 you'll have to do it manually. Here are some ideas
- Create queries for your cube and relational data.
- Limit the result of your relational data with very specific filters to avoid enormous number of rows.
- Create your table or pivot for your cube data and add a script for cell double click.
- Set your limit based on the intersections, set the filters for your relational query and do a database process.
- Now show your relational table.

How to extract data from ORCL GL in "full" and not "delta " with FDM ERPI?

I am using FDM ERPI 11.1.2.1 to extrct data from Oracle eBS 11.
I can see that FDM ERPI extracts data in "delta mode" using the GL_TRACK_BALANCES_DELTA (FDM adds a row in this table after the 1st load of the period").
Is it possible to force the "full mode" in order to reload all the data from Oracle GL for each FDM data load?
Because I don't know why, but I have each month rows which are not imported into FDM.

I had see that I have to install the FDM 11.1.2.1.502 patch in order to see this option in my ERPI adapter options.
I have passed this patch.
So I have the ERPI-FIN-C1 adaptor.
I can see a new option (Time Out Value) but no "Load Data" or "Execution mode" option :-(
Any idea of where the problem come from?

FDM ERPI mapping problem

I am using FDM ERPI,in this I got strucked in mapping situation,
my question,
my source system is having two different segments, and target system is having one dimension with two functionalities(two segments) of source system segments.
ex:
source system ---Account and Currency(like 12345 and USD)
Target system --- Account+currency.(like 12345USD)
what option I have to select from mappings :single segment,cancatnate segment,detailed mapping or FDM mapping.
is it possible from ERPI ,

Drill through from smartview to FDM gives HTTP 400 BAD Request

I've loaded data using FDM 11.1.1.3 to HPCM (Essbase)
I retrieved the data in Smartview and when moving my mouse over the cell i see the Drill through tekst balloon.
But when drilling through via Hyperion->Drill-Through-Reports it goes to the url :
http://<EAS SERVER>:13080/HyperionFDM/AuthorizedPages/IntersectionSummaryByLocation.aspx
instead of
http://<FDMSERVER>/HyperionFDM/AuthorizedPages/IntersectionSummaryByLocation.aspx
The first URL is in the Smartview settings but if i change that Smartview doesn't work anymore.
Has anyone a clue how to solve this?

FDM/ODI/ERPI, but note it is feasible to load data using ERPi without FDM (but still need ODI installed) in which case it should drill back via the ERPi landing stage.
Before going any further i think you need to decide on your data flows and whether you use ERPi or ERPi / FDM to load data, and perhaps search the internet and read some documentation to understand the system, or, get some consultancy.

Drill Through report Intersection levels

Hello, Is it possible to have an intersection in a drill through reportfor a particular level which would not include its descendents?Like for example:Dimension: Products Coke Pepsi I want the drill through intersection to beonly on PRODUCTS and not on Pepsi or Cola. Can this be done in the drill through defination? Thank you.

Assuming you are using EIS for the drill through, you can set up the drill through intersection for any level or at the dimension level. If you are using Analyzer for drill through, you can set up the query to only get the dimension 'Product'

Drill Through Report Parameters from Graph Series Action

I need some help please on passing parameters to a Drill Through Report, when a user clicks on a bubble in a graph.
In context, I have a Tooltip that provides a count of the sysid field, which on mouse over gives the user the correct aggregate for the bubble they are looking at.
[Count(sys_id)]
So say I have a bubble that I am hovering over, showing a count of two sysid's, when I click the bubble I want to run a Drill Through report that uses sysid as a parameter. Therefore I want to pass through the two sysid's that the aggregate has identified.
Now if I go to the action tab and select 'Go to report', select my report and add a Parameter, I need an expression that retrieves the sysid's for the parameters.
At the moment I am using the following expression:
=Split(Join(LookupSet(1,1,Fields!sys_id.Value,"ProjectMaster"),","),",")
This provides the correct string format for the multi value parameter that I have on my report. The problem is, it passes all the sysid's actively displayed on the entire graph and not just the two that the aggregate has identified in the Tooltip.
Question - Is there a way of building the expression to lookup the two sisid's relevant to the bubble I am interested in, rather than the dataset for the whole graph?

Customizing SSAS drill through action

Is there an easy way to customizing SSAS built in drill through action?
For example adding an export to excel option or exposing some of its fields as filters?
Of course a reporting action comes in to mind but i was wondering if there was any thing
one could do with the drill through action instead of adding another technological layer to the solution?

According to your description, you want to customizing an Action drill through into an exported Excel SSRS report without involving SSRS. Right?
In Analysis Services, it's not supported to create an action which combines both Drillthrough and Reporting. For your requirement, it can't be achieved currently. You have to use a Reporting to navigate to a SSRS report and export into a format(Excel, CSV,
PDF.....).
However, in this scenario, I suggest you directly access the data in SSRS. And you can also implement MDX Dirllthrough action in SSRS. Please refer to an article below:
