Is it possible to use Microsoft excel on iPad?

Is it possible to use all the functionality of Microsoft excel on an Ipad. I can currently view spreadsheets but I can't edit, filter/sort them the way I can on my PC?
Many thanks

All of the "Office" document editing applications on the iPad have limitations.  Best try them out to see if they meet your needs.

  • The goal is to synchronize an excel sheet using Microsoft Excel 2010 with Sharepoint 3.0

The goal is to synchronize an excel sheet using Microsoft Excel 2010 with Sharepoint 3.0. We have already installed an add-in (Excel 2007 Add-in: Synchronizing Tables with SharePoint Lists) that was supposed
to help the synchronization of excel to Sharepoint, but it did not work. We would like to synchronize information about a calendar from excel to Sharepoint 3.0, so every time a change is made in excel it automatically updates in Sharepoint.

ootb, changes in excel don't sync with a SharePoint list, the other way around is possible.

  • Is it possible to use Microsoft's Java Packages in Forte4Java/JBuilder?

    Dear all,
I am wondering whether it is possible to use those java packages installed by MS Visual J++ in Sun's Forte4Java or Borland's JBuilder? I found one of the java packages of Microsoft -- com.ms.com.* quite useful for calling ActiveX Components in java code and I have succeeded in calling my DLL COM under Visual J++ with the help of com.ms.com.Dispatch. But I have to use Forte4Java to write my Java program, therefore, it will be great if I can still use com.ms.com.* under Forte4Java. Is it possible? If so, how to do it? Please advise and thanks in advance...
    Tracy

You can use any java package if you just add it to the classpath. In Forte this means adding it to the explorer pane, I am not sure about Builder.
The problem will be when you try to run it. Any Microsoft class which uses some part of their runtime will require the Microsoft VM. If you have that, and are willing to be permenantly tied to it, then you will be in business.

  • How to use Microsoft Excel dll in SQL Server Reporting Services

    Hi,
Can you please explain me the steps to use excel .dll in ssrs

    Hi PrakashThandra,
Based on my understanding, you have created a chart in Excel, then you want to use this chart in Reporting Services, right?
In Reporting Services, it’s not supported to use a chart which created in Excel directly. But we can use Excel as datasource to create a report, please refer to this article:
Create SSRS report using Excel Data Source Step by Step. In your scenario, since you want to use the Excel chart in Reporting Services, you could create a same report in Reporting Services refer to this article:

  • It´s possible to put microsoft office in ipad 2

i can put microsoft office in ipad 2?

buy the app, there's a free download of the documents to go desktop. Install it and it creates a folder. That's the sync folder. put documents in it that you want sync'd with your ipad. documents that you create on your ipad will go into this folder. (you can also choose folders to sync from. theoretically you can sync your whole 'my documents' but if you're like me that's way more space than is on your device)
there are instructions how to pair the device and your computer.
as often as you want you open the documents to go app on your device, open the  desktop and sync the device and folder. It syncs over wireless. You also have the option to put documents on your device that do not sync (like if you have files or documents that you want for reference)
You can google and read about it. I've used the program on both my Touch and iPad and it works well.

  • Possible to use Ms Excel data as a dataprovider in Flashbuilder for charting

My dept has an excel spreadsheet with sales data. I'd like to know if anyone has used Excel data for charting in Flashbuilder? Does anyone know of any resources or samples?
    Thanks in advance.

Looks like I found my own answer.
Seems that all I need to do was convert my Header data into a 2D array.
Don't know why that one was so tricky to figure out.  But it's working now.

There is no way to create mailing labels using the built in contacts app. There is no facility for formatting labels and printing from within the app.
There might be an app for that though.

  • How can i use microsoft word on ipad 2

how can i use the microsoft application on my ipad 2?

The Pages app is also compatible with MS Word. Unlike some of the others mentioned, the document is actually stored on the iPad as opposed to 'the clouds'. Again, most of those mentioned are cut down versions of MS Word.
Stand back and look at this constructively; do you need to regularly access to the document from more than one computer/device without the need to keep amending your document on your computer and sending it to your iPad? If so, Documente to Go etc may be the best choice.

  • Can i use microsoft outlook on ipad 3 and sync it

Hi I want to use my Ipad 3 for business email - i havent set up anything as yet - so want to get on advise as to which is best.  I would like to set up Outlook mail, contacts, calendar and tasks if it will sync - ipad, laptop (not apple) and iphone.
If this is not possible can anyone please advise of our systems that i can look at - i have read somewhere that Google apps??? can do this with email, contacts and calendar (task??)
Please answer in easy lessons - as you can tell - all this technology is above me at the moment.
    thanks
    Jacqui

There are no official MS Office apps for the iPad.
Luckily, Apple has built a lot of the functionality into iOS5.
Go to Settings >> Mail, Contacts, Calendars
Near the top, hit Add Account.
    Select Exchange.
Fill in the details. You may need to ask your IT guys for the details if you don't know all of them.
You can use the standard Mail, Contacts and Calendar apps for those items. Tasks is handles by the Reminders app.
As James said, the functionality is more limited than the full desktop apps, but you can perform probably 80-90% of common tasks fairly easily.

  • Is it possible to use multiple macs/iphones/ipads with single apple tv for an exhibition?

    Hellow everyone,
Wondering if some genius out there can help me come up with a solution, or whether this is just too pie in the sky!!
So, I'm exhibiting at a huge conference at the end of the month and want the following set up:
MacBook Pro Retina showing a video loop through AirPlay Mirroring
MacBook Pro showing exmaples of my work in safari photoshop etc through AirPlay Mirroring
iPhone (4s with iOS7) to show examples of my work in safari through AirPlay Mirroring
iPad (iPad 2 with iOS7) to show examples of my work in safair through AirPlay Mirroring
So, basically I want the video loop to play constantly and act as a screensaver almost, then when the sitution dictates I can quickly switch what is being shown on the AppleTV to whichever device I am at.
As an example, the video loop is happily playing. Someone comes up to me and wants to talk about responsive web design. I whip out my iPad and load up an example site in safari. if I turn on my AirPlay Mirroring, great the AppleTV will update and show what is on my iPad. Great, but what about when I've finished with this person. I turn AirPlay Mirroring off on my iPad and the ApplTV goes back to the main menu because it has kicked out my MacBook Pro. Imagine this scenairo happening time and itme again.
The question is, is there anyway of making some kind of heirachy where my MacBook Pro with the video is the default source, then the Apple switches depending on what is selected, then reverts back to the MacBook Pro??
Or, is there a neat little app that I can run from another iphone (almost using is as a remote) to select which source the Apple TV shows and all the devices are constantly running AirDisplay?
Possibly asking a bit too much here, but it would be amazing if I could get some form of solution that allows me to use minimum wires and no fidly changing channels on the tv with a remote!!
    Many thanks in advance!
    David

  • Problem accessing informix ODBC 32 bit System DSN using Microsoft Query external data sources in Microsoft Excel 2010

    Hi all...
I'm hoping if anybody could help me. I'm using Microsoft Excel 2010 + Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I've installed the informix client sdk for odbc drivers to create odbc 32 bit connection. Before this, i had successfully installed in
another Windows 7 Professional 64 bit PC the informix client drivers and configured the odbc connection for it. During that time, i can access the 32 bit ODBC using the microsoft query from the Microsoft Excel 2007. But now...in the new PC, even though i had
successfully installed the informix client and manage to configure the 32 bit ODBC for it, my Microsoft Excel 2010 can't call/recognise the 32 bit ODBC connection as if the Microsoft Excel 2010  only called the 64 bit ODBC. Is it in Microsoft excel 2007
it is possible to recognise the 32 bit ODBC but the Microsoft Excel 2010 can't? Is there any solution if my Microsoft Excel 2010 still want to use the 32 bit ODBC connection.

    Hi,
Excel 2007 has only 32-bit since 64-bit applications for Office are available only for Office 2010. Thus, you can use
32 bit ODBC between Microsoft Excel 2007 & Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Now, you are using Microsoft Excel 2010 64 bit & Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, thus, you must install the 64 bit ODBC drive. If you still need to use 32
bit odbc drive, please use 32 bit Excel 2010. Here is the detailed steps:
