Is it possible to use Time Capsule as my Itunes media folder? So I could store all my media out of my mac, but still can synchronise Ipad and Iphone with all those media stored on TC out of my mac.

I want to store all my media on my Time Capsule.
Can I use TC as the defaut folder for medias in Itunes? If so, will the synchronisation with Iphone and Ipad be possible?

I did a typo. My current computer is a 2010 1/2 iMac. The stand alone monitors are still out of my price range so I'm looking for other options. By buying an external hard drive and a broken iMac, I'm still ahead. Still, if I understand you right, the 27" 2010 and earlier iMacs would be possiblities.

If you are using the same Apple ID on both devices, the Game Center profile should be the same.
Check out this information from the iPad User Guide. Try signing out of the Game Center on both devices and then sign back in with the correct Apple ID:

HT1668 I am seeing "all" my emails including those that I deleted days, months, years ago in the "spotlight search" screen of my iPad and iPhone. All account trash folders are emptied. How to remove?

Hello.. I'm seeing all my emails from all my accounts located in the "spotlight search" feature of my iPad and iPhone4. What's most troubling is, there are emails that have previously been deleted. I have confirmed over and over that all trash folders for accounts are emptied as well as all other folders.. I empty the trash very regularly. When I select an email from the list in the spotlight screen, it will take me to an in box for that email where it may or may not exist.. Often it opens another persons email all together.. The bottom line is that I can not delete these emails and it's very nerve racking... Any help is greatly appreciated. Than you..

Thank Goodness for Time Machine. I was able to restore from a recent back up.
However as a follow up I now have a glitch in that Icloud email will only restore from oldest to newest. My Icloud.com account is fine. All my email are in chronological order from newest to oldest.
With the help of support from this site I was able to confirm that the problem is not resolved by disabling mail and then enabling again or even from deleting the Icloud Email Account and then reloading. It is exactly the same.
The only way I can get yesterday's email on my devices is to load 5000 emails starting back in 2010.
I think I caused a glitch when I was restoring from Time Machine. It was late at night and it was taking a long time so I went to bed thinking it would just continue on. Well i should have taken my computer out of Sleep Mode because my Imac must have powered down somehow causing the glitch.
Although you would think that I would also have a corrupted email account on Icloud.com
who knows....... the reason why i tend to live with problems rather than correct them because i hate it when stuff like this happens when you do................

So if I example want to have all our music and dvds on the Time Capsule and watch/hear it on my TV. Do I have to have one of our macbook pro's started up to get it to work?

Yes, if you move the iTunes Media Folder to the Time Capsule.
But.....if you move the iTune Media Folder to the Time Capsule.....how are you planning to back up this important data?
(You will lose everything in the Media Folder when.....not if....the Time Capsule has a problem and you do not have a backup copy.)
A much safer plan would be to keep the iTunes Media Folder on your Mac.....or add another hard drive connected to the Mac and move the Media Folder to that drive.
Then Time Machine will backup both your Mac and and hard drive. So, you have "originals" on one drive and backups on another.

Possible, but if you place the only copy of the data that you have on the Time Capsule, you then have to figure out how to back up that data to another drive.
Things may be simpler...with faster performance....if you add a USB or FireWire to your Mac, and then use the Time Machine to back up both the Mac and the hard drive to the Time Capsule.

Yes, I did some research on the echolife and I don't think it has WDS functionality available. I do have another 3Com router that I'm thinking of firing up again. I know it has WDS functionality. The question is, would the Time Capsule be compatible with it in order to extend the network? I am not keen to shell out for another Apple base station if at all possible.

My problem is that I don't know how to use my Time Capsule with Ethernet Cable, as when I use wireless it is really slow.

Make sure that there is an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN <-> ports on your modem/wireless router to the WAN port on the Time Capsule
Click on the Wireless tab at the top of the page
Change the setting for Wireless Mode to Off (I assume that you do not want the Time Capsule to provide a wireless network since you already have a wireless network)
Next, click the Internet icon at the top of the screen, then click the Internet Connection tab
Connect Using = Ethernet
Connection Sharing = Off (Bridge Mode)
Click the Update button at the bottom and wait 30 seconds for the Time Capsule to restart and display a green light
Then, you must power off your entire network...all devices....in any order that you want
Wait a minute
Start your modem/router first and let it run a minute
Start the Time Capsule and let it run a minute
Keep starting devices one at a time until everything is powered up
If you are using Time Machine for backups, you will need to reset the connection because you have changed the way in which the Time Capsule connects to your network
Open System Preferences (gear icon) on the dock
Open Time Machine
Click Select Disk
Click the Time Capsule to highlight it
Click Use for Backup or, it might be Use Disk
Now you can connect your Mac using an Ethernet cable to one of the LAN <-> ports on the Time Capsule to back up using Ethernet. Be sure to turn off the wireless on your Mac before you start the backup.
If you want to backup using wireless, disconnect the Ethernet cable from the Mac to the Time Capsule and turn on the wireless and connect to your wireless network. Your computer will now backup using wireless.

Using Time Capsule to host iTunes library for use by multiple user accounts

I have recently purchased my first Time Capsule (2TB, delivered December 2010). I have also recently begun to share a single iTunes library with my partner (ie. we have separate user accounts, but following the instructions found at http://steve-on-sakai.blogspot.com/2009/07/really-sharing-your-itunes-library.ht ml, both of our iTunes apps open to the same library).
I think i've done everything correctly, as everything will work as expected ... once we are able to force our way into iTunes.
My knowledge gap seems to be with my understanding of how Time Capsule and its "Data" folder work.
I've moved our entire iTunes folder into the Data folder on the Time Capsule, and i understand that only one of our user accounts can have iTunes running (that one must quit iTunes before the other user will be able to launch iTunes).
What happens sometimes, seemingly dependant on who has signed into their account first, or who has launched and quit iTunes first, is that iTunes will not launch; we are required to choose an iTunes library. This is easily enough done, except when the Data folder is unavailable to that particular user at that time (indicated by the "do not enter" symbol). I've noticed that disconnecting and re-connecting to the Time Capsule will get around this.
I stumble through these steps whenever possible, but my partner is nervous about having to do all of this when i'm not available.
Naturally, what i would like is for either of us, at any time, to be able to simply launch iTunes without issue.
iTunes preferences on each accounts show that our iTunes Media folder location is "/Volumes/Data/iTunes/iTunes Music", and both checkboxes are checked for keeping the iTunes Media folder organized and copying files to the iTunes Media folder.
I suspect that my problem might stem from the fact that i initially followed the instructions given at the above steve-on-sakai blog post, using our Shared folder. Since then, i have moved everything to the Time Capsule, and i wonder if the Terminal command in Step 7 should be repeated for the Data folder ... but i'm not "literate" enough to know what i'm doing there (but wise enough to know i shouldn't mess around with Terminal if i don't know what i'm doing).
I have spent hours browsing the discussions here and elsewhere, and i can't seem to find anything that specifically addresses my issues. I have learned a lot from my searches, but i felt that posting a new question was my best option. I hope that i haven't duplicated anything.
I hope that someone will be able to fine tune my efforts so that everything will "just work".

I think what you mean is that it's not possible for two Macs to access the same iTunes library (ie. the same collection of media files) at the same time. From my research, this seems to be the case, and that's not my issue.
In my particular situation -- one that i'm sure is shared by many others -- my partner and i have separate user accounts on the same Mac, +entirely sharing a single iTunes Library+ (ie. same media files, same playlists, etc., as if we were a single user) and as long as we remember to quit iTunes whenever we walk away from the Mac (allowing the other to log in and launch iTunes and access our common library), this is not a problem.
And that is when my particular problem arises: when we launch iTunes, we are often asked to choose a Library (a series of navigations that my partner isn't entirely comfortable with), and occasionally the Data folder on the TimeCapsule is unavailable.
As for the wireless connection to our library, this has not so far proven to be an issue. Depending on what other activities are going on at the time (ie. TimeMachine backups or background Internet activity, i presume), i have only rarely experienced brief interruptions in music streaming from the TimeCapsule (<1 second). In fact, last night, we watched a movie on the laptop, with the file streaming from the TimeCapsule, and it only hesitated a few times, and again for less than a second.

The Time Capsule does not have any audio capability or ports for audio connections. You need an AirPort Express.

Using Time Capsule to extended iTunes playlist and music...

First of all, I would like to wish you an Happy New Year.
I wondering if my TC should be able to "emit", "extended" all my iTunes library toward a HIFI system in WIFI at the first floor of my house?
I try now to explain my wishes : I've got in my home one iMac 24'' early 2008 running with OSX 10.9.1 (13B42), connected to my TC, upstairs of my house.
I would like at the first floor of this house, "catching" the sound of my iTunes music on this iMac, because my HIFI system is at the first floor.
I saw, currently, Airport Express solved but not completely for my situation, this wish, because if I understand, the Airport Express need to be connected to the ETHERNET box of my WEB Provider... and the ETHERNET line is upstairs in this house, connected to my TC.
So I wondered if my TC (upstairs) could be able to "emit" toward a eventual WIFI receptor like Airport Express (at first floor), this one connected to my HIFI system for listening music of my iTunes library, using Remote of my iPhone.... oops, it was not easy to put it in words :-)
I should be very interested by any answers of the Apple Support Communities.

I am having trouble following you and I think you are having trouble following me.
When you want to link the iphone or the ipad to the new express wireless, there is nothing to show you that it is the express. It uses exactly the same wireless name as the TC.
Therefore you do not choose the TC or the Express in the phone or ipad.. that is not possible.
Perhaps I can illustrate it better in my system I have a TC and an Airport Extreme extending the network.
When I setup the Airport extreme in extend wireless mode, it loses its own wireless name and uses the exact same name as the TC.
Here is the TC wireless name.
Here is the AE wireless setup.
The TC and AE cannot be told apart.. from the wireless name perspective they are one and the same.
So when I look at my iphone I see TC24ghz but I do not know which device it will connect to.. there is no way of setting that I want to connect to the TC or AE..
In order to enable a different name for your Express wireless then you must link the Express to the TC by ethernet.. not by wireless.
If it doesn't make sense to you please post your wireless tab in the setup and show me the wireless names.. if they are both identical which they must be, then you cannot define which is going to be joined by the iphone. ipad or anything else.
If I misunderstood the question I am sorry.. please post again and I will get another user to read your post.
