Is it possible user to select the chart type in WAD??

Hi All,
I have a requirement in WAD, where customer wants to select their own desired chart in WAD.
Is it possible user to select the chart type?? If so please let me know the path where i need to do the setting.

Hi,
you have to press the right mouse button on the chart (it is not so easy - there are 2 different context menus) -> in context menu -> properties -> web item -> chart setting -> chart type

Check the following steps :
1) Drag and drop a Button group item ( BUTTON_GROUP_ITEM_1) from Standard Web Item panel .
2) Goto Web item Properties of BUTTON_GROUP_ITEM_1 .
3) Under internal display -> List of button -> Create first button ->click right most button there
This follows a Edit parameter Dialog box
4)Provide a caption
5) Action ->select : Command via Command wizard
6) Command-> Select by clicking right most button
This follows a Edit command Dialog box.
7) Click on All commands tab -> Commands for Web item ->Double click on Call Chart Properties Dialog
8) Then in Command Target -> Target web item -> Select the target chart say CHART_ITEM_1 -> OK -> Ok

Can we give an option of having multiple PLDs to user to select the PLD

Hello Experts,
Can we give an option of having multiple PLDs to user to select the PLD from list, when it selects the PLD, it will opened.
One option is to choose the the PLD from Layout Designer windows, as we can make it default and then open it. I don't want to give right to user to make any PLD default ....
But I am looking for option as it ask me at run time when I press the Preview button.

Wait for user to select the OK button

For my application I cannot use a simple MessagePopup where the user must select the OK button to continue.
I created a new panel with just a text message and an OK button to act like a MessagePopup.
When I call InstallPopup and the Panel box pops up I want to wait until the user selects OK before continuing just like the MessagePopup.
How can I accomplish this?

You can use GetUserEvent () function. In the scenario you have depicted you must have all controls in the popup panel set as "Normal" and only the OK button set as "Hot" (The default control mode). The callback the must handle the panel can be structured like this:
int pnl, ctl, handle;
// some code here
// Code to handle the popup
handle = LoadPanel (.....)
InstallPopup (handle);
GetUserEvent (1, &pnl, &ctl); // Wait for the user to press OK button
DiscardPanel (handle);
// The rest of the code here

Drop Down for Selecting the doc type while uploading?

Hi all,
Is it possible to create some document type in KM so that we can select the doc type and upload the file to specific folder.
What I mean from Doc type is like Doc for Meetings, Doc for activity report.
Is it possible using standard KM features? Urgent help needed pls reply.

I'm not sure if I have understood your issue correctly, but let me try:
1. You want to upload documents to KM
2. Uploading them, you want to categorize them in some way, so that they can be identified as docs for meetings, docs for unit XYZ, etc..
3. After upload, you want each doc to end up in a folder according to its category
If this is what you want, try the following:
1. Create a custom resource property called "category" or something similiar.
2. You may define your possible values for that property. This makes it a drop down box containing the possible values in property view. (You can see property view when uploadinga document)
3. Mark the property as searchable
4. Create a taxonomy using TREX searching your repository for the given values of your custom property
Now you can upload documents, fill the custom property, and some minutes later TREX will create a link to the document in the specified 'category folder'.

But while creating manually , I am not getting the option of selecting the adapter type. Please specify, how to select the adapter type in manual process?

Create the adapter in the object tab under the relevant buisness system\service.
add that adapter to your allready made scenario.

Requirement :I have to create a print program for the smartform where the output type may be print out,email or fax ,so i need to put the condition for selecting the output type (like printout,email,fax).

It is not the output type that has to be changed
it is the MEDIUM which you have to change and configure
for printout medium is 1
for FAX medium is 2
for MAIL it is 7.
so instead of printout change the medium to 2 or 7 for the same output type and attach to the same driver program and smartform/form.

Naveen,
First priority is the order type defined in the Production schedulling profile(OPKP), assigned to that particular material in workscheduling view. If this is not maintained then,
Second priority is configuration at MRP Group parameters in transaction in OPPR, this MRP Group if assingned to Material master MRP1 view.
Third priority is Configuration at Plant level parameters in transaction OPPQ, this defines the order type when convert planned order to Production/Process order.

Cannot select the connection type on the Nokia PC ...

Connection type: USB Cable (CA-101) with Nokia PC Suite 7.1
Problem: I cannot select the connection type on the Nokia PC Suite after running the programme and connecting them
Description: It was connected only one device, and it found that I cannot select the type of connection; however, I can run well on the Mass Storage of the both devices. Now, I guess that the problem is capability of MS Windows in Home Basic Edition because Ovi Suite cannot work on the version (Nokia's website shows on the systematic requirement)

Is it possible for a saved path to open a folder where the user can select the file to open?

I would like to retieve a link via database that would open a folder of drawings, word documents, pdf files, excel files etc., where the user can select which file they want. Selected files would open in which ever format they were with programs that are already installed on the users computer. For example, the link would open a folder where several solid works files were, and a couple of Word documents. The user would select one of the Solid Works files, and it would open up in the Solid Works installation on the users computer. Is this possible, or must a link point directly to a file?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "link". Are you referring to a URL that uses a "file://" protocol?
The standard File Dialog VI has a "start path" input that you can set so the file dialog opens to that folder.

Possible Bug when selecting the "text" tab on a Line Chart

Thought I would pass this on. Not sure if it has been logged yet or not. Sometimes when building a line chart, the properties field locks up when I try and select the "text" tab. The dialog boxes in the "text" tab do not show up and the "layout" tab is also highlighted. I do not know what causes this, but it has happened to me numerous times. The only solution is to totally delete the line chart and start all over. It may be related to copying and pasting. I set up a chart the way I need it and then copy/paste it rather than making all the changes on a default settings chart when I need another chart.

Can you list the exact steps to reproduce this problem in the most simple case?
Example: add line chart, bind to data, copy, paste, click on text tab...............

SELECTING THE GRAPH TYPE BY THE END USER

I have a query in developing one app which contains Business graphics
1)By selecting the type of a graph from the front end the graph (fro e.g. dropdownbykey/index) the end user should be in a position to see the graph i.e. if he selects Column chart then it should display the graph result in Column chart format or if he selects pie chart the graph output should be pie chart format.
