Is it possible yet to download NEF D800 Nikon files into PSE10?

I upgraded as it had the camera listed in the 6.6 raw download. I feel ripped off, really.

Are you saying you've updated to 6.6 and you can't open them? You did go to Editor> Help>Updates and let ACR update itself, right?
EDIT But the D800 isn't listed as a supported camera. Where did you read that it was?

Yep, this happens. I have not found a way to keep the files from downloading as a ,pps. So I use a work around. Find where you have the downloaded file. It should look something like "slides.ppt.pps." Click on the file name to edit and erase the .pps. You'll see a dialog box that asks you if you really want to eliminate the .pps. Say yes and it will be removed from the name and you can then load into PowerPoint. Hope it works for you.

Possibility to execute Acrobat Pro's "Combine files into PDF" function from within SAP?

Presently, a company uses Acrobat Pro to manually combine files such as *.pdf, *.jpg, *.doc, which have been downloaded from SAP's Document Management System, into one pdf file. I would like to know if it is possible to automatically execute Acrobat Pro's "Combine files into PDF" function from within SAP (ECC 6.0) application system. I'm wondering if this could be achieved from a program via OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) or RFC (remote function call).

I am unable to import NEF RAW files into PSE10 from Nikon d600

How can I find out what version of Camera RAW my PSE10 is currently using and how can I get an edition which will support this. Strangely enough I also have Lightroom 4.3 on same PC and it does import NEF from D600, but I want to be able to bring them directly into PSE10 as well.
Any help would be appreciated
PS - My PC is a Windows 7 64 bit operating system

I had downloaded ACR 7.3 separately but there followed some confusion because I found a "Camera Raw.8bi" file in 3 different locations on my windows 7 64 bit PC
I found it in
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 10\APD\Photo Downloader\plugins
C:\Program Files\Common files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\Elements 10\File Formats
Eventually I found this location
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\Elements 10\File Formats
and if I swapped in Version 7.3 here ... now the PSE10 ORGANIZER can read in the NEF files into the Catalog and I can see the thumbnails
However when I try to edit one of those files I got an error message - "unable to use the Camera Raw plugin - it is not compatable with this version of Photoshop Elements"

With the old version that was (is now back) on disk - version 6.7.0.339 the downloader actually copied the NEF files to disk but woulod not take them into the organizer even.
Final Question - Will a simple upgrade to PSE11 from PSE10 do it for me ? will it bring ACR 7.3 with it and place it into the correct location on disk or must I keep my downloaded ACR 7.3 and place the file after a PSE11 upgrade.

When I finally finish my 2D animation for my Senior Project and finally make the DVD, I want to include the short story that the animation is based on to the DVD. I want to import it as .pdf or a .doc into DVD Studio Pro 4. What I want to know is, is if this is possible, or if is not, is there another acceptable file format that I can use if .pdf or .doc isn't possible?

Techincally you can create a link to take it to the file... but there are so many different software DVD players that it doesnt work with 90% of them so its pointless..
as for including your files on the DVD....
First make sure your files are all in one folder called DVD Content or something like that so they know its in that location
then in DVDSP at the top where all the icons are...
hit build and format.
in the general tab you will see...
Disc
Source
DVD-ROM Data
destination
under DVD-ROM Data check the content box.
Choose the folder you have all your files in.
joliet extension support doesnt really matter but i always click it so that windows can identify better what file format it is.
then continue building and formating.
let me know if that works or if you run into an issue.

Error importing Nikon D800 RAW files into Lightroom 4.4.1

I got an Nikon D800 and tried to import the RAW files taken with it to my Lightroom 4.4.1 installation on Windows 8.1 64bit.

I do get an error like this while trying to import the files:

The files can be viewed with irfanview so they should not be corupted.

Have you used any Nikon software with them, perhaps an older Nikon Transfer or View NX? These are known to make newer Nikon camera’s files unreadable by Adobe products.
On way to test would be to take a new picture and move it to your hard-drive using either your OS-level functions (Finder/Explorer) or LR, itself, directly from the card, perhaps in a card reader.

Possible to change date format when importing files into Aperture 3

Just wondering if it is possible to change the format of the date from YYYY-MM-DD to YYYYMMDD when you rename files as they are imported into Aperture 3? I typically rename my files and insert my initials, date the photo was taken, sequence number, camera used and original file name. When I do this in Aperture 3, the date format used includes dashes. I would like to have the file renamed without the dashes in the date. Is this possible?

You should be able to edit the format in the import presets. I have done this for folder stucture of imports, I believe you can do the same for the file renaming. At the bottom of the drop down box for file naming at improt should be an edit option which brings up the import naming presets, select the "YYYY-MM-DD" and remove the dashes.

Cannot download leica m9 dng files into lightroom

I started using LR (5) only recently (about 50 days ago). Have no problem downloading RAW files from my Nikon 600 but I am having difficulties downloading DNG files from my Leica M9 although I have done it before successfully when I started. Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions?

Used EOS Rebel T1i in camera raw setting. The Canon Camera Raw images will not open up because camera is not supported in Photoshop CS5 Extended, version 12.0.4 X64. Also tried to open by changing the the setting to Photoshop Raw but got a "Specified image is smaller than file" alert. When image opened, it was a grayscaled image full of noise. See below. What can I do to open these images, or to convert them?

Your Canon EOS Rebel T1i is supported and only requires ACR 5.4 or newer.

Since you have Photoshop CS5 you should have ACR 6.7, so either there is something wrong with your install of ACR or you are doing something wrong.
Trying to open in PHOTOSHOP RAW is completely different than ADOBE CAMERA RAW.
You need to use Adobe Camera Raw (ACR),
Just forget that Photoshop Raw even exists.It does not do what you need to do to open your CR2 files.

Is it possible to import an avi file into iTunes?

I am trying to import in a TV show that i have downloaded as an avi file into iTunes. However when i try to import it nothing happens, if i try and change the file format into a mp4 it wont recognize it. Does anyone have any ideas?
I can not find it in any other file format anywhere online.

Export the OMF from an audio app like ProTools or Logic as a stereo pair AIFF, then use that with your video. Chop it up if you need to checkerboard.
Of course this will only work if the audio is very simple - overlapping audio will mess you up. If you can figure out the audio app part, you can split up your OMF into separate tracks.
But then if you can't get it into an audio app, you're a bit hosed.

Hang when downloading the windows support files.

My iMac stop dowloading the windows support files at about 20% when
i was installing Window 7 on my iMac 21".
I leave the download over night and same thing at about 20%.
I tried this over 2 nights and the same thing.
This would not have happen if LION comes with a DVD.
I think Apple is trying to discourage Mac users from using Window 7?

I had the same problem. I searched all over the internet and could not find a place to manually download the Boot Camp 4.0 Windows 7 support files.
I have now managed to get everything working by getting Apple staff to manually provide the files to me on a usb disk.

When the zip file has finished downloading, extract all the files into a usb disk and proceed installing Windows 7 via Boot Camp 4.0 without downloading the support files.
Once Windows 7 is installed, open your usb disk (within Windows 7) and install the support files. After the support files have been installed, Windows 7 will recognise all the hardware and start working correctly.

The only legal way to get iOS 7 beta is by way of the Apple developer program. It is BETA, still has numerous bugs and issues, and will be changing frequently over the next few weeks, and isn't ready or available for general users as of yet. If you are not an app developer, you have no business downloading it and would likely wreck your phone by doing so. It would also void your warranty.

What is N-OS?
For the camera raw problem, every new camera has its own raw format and ACR must be updated to include it. That hasn't happened yet for the D5500, so you'll just have to use the Nikon software till Adobe gets the info and releases an updated version of ACR. It's not unusual to be in your situation if you buy a camera model that's only been out a month. You just have to wait a bit.
