I usually do my banking on my laptop which has norton installed. Is it safe to use my iPad2 to do all my transactions and view my accounts. Also is is safe to purchase items of eBay, amazon etc

If your laptop runs Windows (which the vast majority of viruses, trojans and other malware targets), the iPad is infinitely safer, as none of those threats can affect the iPad.
You still have to take the same care about connecting to secured wireless networks as you would any other WiFI device, as once the data is in transit over the internet it's out of your hands.

It would depend on both the app and the network.
I personally would not do any financial transaction over any public wifi network of any kind.
I do have the app from my bank on my iPad, and pay bills from it.

Hi, Thanks for that further bug description In Your Last Message That Describes The Problem I Am Having perfectly and is exactly the same for me.
unfortunately that fix for my camera Powershot G6 does not work or apply as the view pictures switch is different on G6 is not usable during download as once you plug in DC/USB cable it turns off, and makes no diff and problem still exists exactly as you just described.

it has been 17 days since apple promised to get back to me within 3-5 days hopefully with a solution, but I have still not heard from them.
They blew me off, i guess, probably i will have to wait for new Yosemite OS update, which they pre-warned me could take as much as 6 months.
I cannot believe apple released this new update with such major bug issues for camera downloads and that horrible "Photos" pgm which has all sorts of downgrades in features, usefulness and new bugs compared to iPhotos which I just finally got used to and was much better software.
I am starting to lose faith in Apple and I am getting that Microsoft "FEEL" like I used to have when I was a PC user, which was why I originally switched to Apple computers in first place.
Oh well got my fingers crossed here.
Thankfully the memory card reader solution is working well, but cost me $45.

Did you ask the bank if other people have been hacked ? The problem might be on their end.

As subject states safari keeps opening my banks ms money or QIF document within the web browser. Is there another app or a way to get this to work? Sorry about that...it's PSECU. Their app doesn't have a download function for statements. I have to go through the mobile access site via safari to view the download option. They got back to me and misunderstood my question as the reply had steps for direct connect for quicken. The homebudget app I have for my ipad offers direct connect but doesn't have PSECU as an option. That's why I was looking to import my statements into the app. Hope this helps clarify my current dilemma. Thanks again for any replies to try and help me out.

If by Adobe you mean Flash, you can't. Flash isn't compatible with iOS5 (any iOS honestly)
I'm not sure about Java.
The closest you can do is look for a browser in the app store that works with flash. Puffin, Skyfire are two that are mentioned

I am trying to get App on Bank of America but can't go hru.

Quit the music app and restart. Then try again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or - reset the iPad and see if that helps.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

It sounds like you are unable to use either if these versions of this banking app on iOS 8.0.2. I have an article here for you to help either get the issue resolved, or reach out to the developer if needed:
iOS: An app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
Restart the app
Close the app and open it again.
Restart your device
Turn the device off and on.
Update your device software and your apps
Update your device to the latest version of iOS.
Update your apps:
Open the App Store and tap Updates.
If updates are available, tap Update All.
If asked, enter your Apple ID password. The updates will download and install.
You might need a Wi-Fi connection to update some apps.
Reinstall the app

Java and javascript are not the same thing. It appears you are trying to access your banking using a browser rather than using an app. Check if your bank has an app.

Why can't I log in to any online banking on my iPad?

Have you got Settings > Safari > Accept Cookies set to 'from visited' ? You might also need to have Settings > Safari > JavaScript enabled

my prob is i m not able to print updated saving table i found 1 blank page or sometimes i find "sever is not capable for fulfilling the request". i m able to understand that whether my sql query is wrong or i m getting value from combobox via request.getParameter. please help me as soon as possible.

You can't run IE on an iPad and the only way to use it on a Mac, since it's been discontinued for years for the Mac OS, is to install Windows either via Boot Camp or via running Windows as a virtual machine using something such as Parallels Desktop (my personal preference).
