Is it " Safe " to install Adobe flash professional CS 6 ?

Hi ,
I intend to install “ Adobe flash professional CS 6 “ on my MacBook Pro with retina display , is it OK to install this software ? Do I expect problems or performance issues ?
Anyone had issues running or uninstalling this software ?
Is it better to leave adobe products ? As I heard of many issues related to these products

It's Adobe Flash that has the occasional security issue and mostly because people don't keep on top of the updates.
However Flash does it's own updating now so that's less of a problem than before.
Adobe's Create Suite is fine and the best in the industry.
However it's Apple that releases new OS X versions like crazy and so you have to make sure things work before you upgrade or update OS X .
A website here assists in telling you the basics, if CS6 will work with 10.8 for instance or iff issues develope with a update.

But the best advice is from Adobe's forums, that's where people will go if they have problems, not here too much, unless it's a OS X problem.

Cannot install adobe flash professional cs5.5

I am not able to install adobe flash professional cs5.5 as it takes a lot of time to install and uses complete cpu resources and because of this the cpu and the whole computer heats up and shuts off.
I tried to prevent the heating by putting ice all around the the computer external computer fans and everything else to keep the computer cool but still the computer shuts off.ter details
Pls. help me. I need it urgently.
My computer details are-
Acer Aspire 5710
Intel Core Duo processor T2450
4GB DDR2
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit

this is second post and first question.ive searched the forum and found a thread about lions and adobe flash(maybe there is a thread and i didnt found it)
so im asking this question.
i Usually visits sites with flash content.and i know what to do with windows.
but on mac its a different story.

How do I install Adobe Flash Professional on my E: Drive?

I am trying to test out Adobe Flash Professional but I have no room in my C: Drive and I need to install it on my E: Drive, but I don't know how to change the file location.

You can install part of the software on your E drive, but part needs to belong on the C drive. If you have no room on your C drive, then it is time to update your hardware. The software needs room on your C drive to operate. Assuming that you have a desktop a larger C: drive will make your life easier and your computer faster.

It is safe, although Flash is a pretty hefty pig sometimes and sometimes causes performance problems.
(I use Click2Flash Safari extension, so I only run the flash stuff when I must have it.)
Make sure you are downloading it from Adobe.
Don't respond to other website attempts to give it to you.

For starters, open the Flash Player panel in System Preferences. Go to Advanced and see what version is showing. If you know what version you were updating to, is that now appearing?
Fake Flash was really rampant last year, and although it can't be ruled out completely now, it's probably unlikely that's what happened.

Can't install Adobe Flash Professional CC trial version?

I am currently trying to download adobe flash profession cc trial version from your website so that I can decide if it is what I want and am not getting anywhere. I will click on the 'download trial version' then will click 'allow' on the pop-up asking permission for adobe to open a program on my comp, then nothing happens. I have tried multiple times and have even restarted my comp to no avail, I have windows 8.1 on my computer. help please?

I can't install Adobe Flash Pro CS 6 on my OSX Mac! Help!

Every time I try to install Flash Pro CS6 on my mac, I get the following error:
"The installation failed - installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file."
I've rebooted the mac, logged as the administrator to install, and got the same error.

I've also ran the Adobe Support Advisor and it found no errors.

Please choose "Mac OSX.." in step 1 and "Flash Player 15.." in Step 2.
You should be able to download the Flash Player then.

As a note, running with no anti-virus software is a very bad choice. I would try installing Microsoft security Essentials, [http://microsoft.com/security_essentials http://microsoft.com/security_essentials] to stay safe with a free but light weight anti-virus.

QR codes launching ADOBE FLASH PROFESSIONAL CS5.5 apps

Hello I'm considering buying Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5 to write android and apple apps but I have a couple of quesries that I hope someone can help me on:
1. Can I launch an app from a scanned QR code and, if so, soes anyone know how (perhaps have examples?)
2. I have been trialing the software and noted that a large file has to be instelled on mobiles (Air) before the app can run. Is is possible to package this with the app rather than the user having to download Air too? Does anyone make people feel that this will make Adobe apps less attractive or have I missed something?

Hi Rob,
1. If you can launch apps through a QR code with the native apps then you will be able to do it with the AIR apps, once on the device they function just the same so that's not really an AIR question its more of an Android or iOS question, I do not have any examples. You can always set up a QR code that goes to the store page for whatever app you are trying to offer to the user.
2. Yes you can package the AIR plug in with your file, for iOS its done automatically for Android you have to do it maually through some command prompt and it appears to be a huge pain in the ***, but it is possible. Yes I agree having an air download required is not as attractive as a native app, the good news is that some devices come with AIR pre installed the Kindle Fire and the NOOK being 2 good examples.
