Depends what you mean by Reset...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Place your iPhone into recovery mode as described here. You may have to try to enter recovery mode more than once to succeed.

If i reset my IPhone from general setting will all of the content be erased?
I swapped IPhones with my mum and want to reset all the settings but i dont want everything erased off the IPhone.
Your apps and profile data will remain. Make sure its reset all settings.
The only settings that disappear usually are mail push intervals, brightness settings, wallpaper set, your blacklist & whitelist on notification settings & location services.

I had to change my Apple ID because I had so much trouble with it (always asking me to reset my password), and at the same time I changed email provider, so I don,t have the same email address then before. Everything went well on my computer, but for a reason i can't understand, my iphone is stopping me froom doing a reset. Everytime I try from the computer to reset my Iphone, it tells me to first desactivate my Iphone localisation in Icloud. Now, when I try to do so, my Iphone is asking me for my password associated with my old email address, which I don't remember.
I've also tried to reset My Iphone from the Iphone itself, still no luck!
Can someone help me please before I throw my iphone by the window, as I been trying this for the last 2 hrs?

I am trying to restore a backup onto my iphone from itunes on a pc windows 8 but it asked me for a backup password which I cant remember, is there anyway that I can reset the password and not lose my backup? Any help is very appreciated

Try this:
Open the "Find my iPhone" app on your iPad, fill in your AppleID and password at the start up screen, and you should see a list of all your devices and their current location, if connected to a Wi-Fi or mobile data network. Devices not connected will be shown as "offline". But you can still trap on the icon and hit "erase iPhone" in the right hand window.
If your iPhone is not listed, you did not activate this feature during the setup of the phone and it can't be erased remotely.
If the phone is listed, even as offline, tap on "erase" to send the erase command. The next time your device will be connected to any kind of network, the content will be erased. -

It sounds like you have photos in your Photo Stream that you would like to download. The photos are not actually stored on your Apple TV, it sounds like they are being displayed from your Photo Stream. Please read over the attached article for information on your Photo Stream and how to download these photos.

Because your Mac and PC have more storage than your iOS devices, you can choose to download all of your My Photo Stream photos automatically.
In iPhoto or Aperture preferences on your Mac, select Photos (or Photo Stream) > My Photo Stream > Automatic Import. All of your photo stream photos will import into your Events, Projects, Photos, Faces, and Places folders in iPhoto or Aperture.
On your PC with My Photo Stream on in the Control Panel, all of your photos will import intoC:\\Users\<user name>\Pictures\iCloud Photos\My Photo Stream

You can't get it reset; if you could there would be no point in having it. If you have an encrypted backup there are two ways this could have happened:
You checked "Encrypt Backup" in iTunes at some time in the past, either intentionally or by accident
You have a corporate MS Exchange account and your Exchange administrator installed a security profile on your phone that requires the phone'a contents to be encrypted. This, in turn, requires the backup to be encrypted for obvious reasons.

How do I download the music from iTunes onto an old iPhone 3gs without affecting my iPhone 5? I have reset the iPhone to factory settings and when I plug it in it wants to use the device name for my current iPhone 5 and I don't want to change anything on my current iPhone. iTunes won't let me change the device name for the 3gs. If I am understanding you correctly, it sounds like you are returning to an old iPhone that has been erased and you would like to set it up as a new device without restoring from a backup which would affect the name of your iPhone, as well as the contents therein. Basically, it seems like you may be stuck on a screen that is asking if you would like to restore your device from the backup that is filed under the name of your new iPhone, or if you would like to set up the device as a new device. I would suggest that you set it up as a new device to achieve your desired results.

After updating to IOS 8.2 my iphone 5 constantly searches for a network. I have tried resetting network, restoring from an earlier back up, resetting as a new phone - all of which have been unsuccessful… HELP !!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it sounds like the iPhone is searchiong for a network. It looks like you have already done some troubleshooting. There are a few steps listed in this article you did not mention trying, they may be able to help the issue.

Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

ThanksI don't think that a software update from Apple will solve the issues that you are having. You have a rogue installation. After you posted I have just done the following:
Disk Utility can verify my partitioned Volume (including my boot disk) AND REPAIR the non-boot disks on the same Volume without a glitch. It repairs the non-boot disks containing data smoothly.
I have used Mail to send some mails from some Yahoo and Hotmail accounts to my Thunderbird client containing GMail accounts - absolutely normal.
I have iLife '09 but my iMovie '09 and iPhoto '09 open in a jiffy and I see no issues here. I have 6GB RAM (Maximum) on an early 2008 Macbook Pro with a 750GB hard drive partitioned with 120GB reserved for the Boot Drive.
I am sorry that I cannot help further but I am sure there must be a way to reinstall the software without having to revert to restoring your ML backup. I have two clones and if you have such I would attempt to do that through that rather than through Time Machine - that is of course if you have a cloned drive.

If you aren't syncing contacts with a supported address book app on your computer, and/or not syncing contacts over the air with an email account on your iPhone that supports this with a number of accounts that do which are free including a free Apple iCloud account, and your iPhone's backup is not being done wirelessly with a free Apple iCloud account and you don't have a backup for your iPhone on a computer, your contacts will be lost.
