Is it suitable for us to clean our iPhone4 or iPad1 with 75%alcohol?

I pelled off my iPhone4's screen protector. The screen is really really hard, but i found it difficult for me to clean the screen with glasses cloth.
Is it suitable for us to clean our iPhone4 or iPad1 with 75%alcohol? If not. How can I remove oil stain from the screen?
Thank you very much

  • Device error -the target device isn't suitable for use. Solution found!?

    Hello everyone,
I have received the following error many times on my machine for different projects when trying to burn to disk and folders:
Device error -the target device isn't suitable for use.
I have multiple hard drives with ~60GB, 40GB and 12GB. I have tried to burn 4.7GB discs and folders and 8.5GB folders.
I have previously tried nearly ALL 20 troubleshooting items recommended by Adobe and have even changed to Verbatim media. None of these solved the problem.
What did solve the problem, EVERY SINGLE TIME, was freeing up hard drive space or reducing the length of the project.
You may look at the available hard drive space and THINK that you have enough. But you don't.
Perhaps the remainder of this thread could be used to discuss the disk space requirements for projects. I can't seem to crack the formula. I just keep deleting/archiving files until the project works. I have ordered some new big HDD's to be rid of this error forever.
    Justin.

While it is certainly possible that diskspace is one factor in getting the dreaded "target device isn't suitable message" (usually after lenghthy processing), it does not appear to be the only one.
I got the message trying to burn a 3 minute video to a dvd on two seperate computers one running xp pro with 150Gb of spare disk space and one running W7 HP with 50Gb of spare space. Tryng to burn to a folder gave the same error.
To me, this pointed to something in the app, or the project, so firstly I deleted the disk menu...burn completed ok. Re-instated a menu (different one)....burn failed. Removed one scene marker and the stop marker......burn completed ok. Re-instated stop marker......burn failed
Am I missing something on the purpose of the stop marker?
There was nothing obviously wrong with the project, although I will admit that I am new to PRE but am not a complete novice to video editing.
The encoding process of the menu's (both passes) went ok, and it wasn't until it got to the "encoding media" phase that the error message appeared.
It would certainly seem that more illuminating error reporting would be beneficial in this case, but it would also seem to be worth trying changes to the menus or markers to see if that fixes the error message.

  • Which tables are suitable for advanced compression in R12.1.1 vision db

I want to use advanced compression in our R12.1.1 test env and I want to know which R12 tables are suitable for that?(I want make a script for compressing our VISION DB automatically)
for example, table like GL% and ... ?
some table contain long/long raw data_type ,so if I compress all tables in a tablespace(like APPS_TS_TX_DATA) ,filter long/long raw table will became a time-cosuming job..
    thanks

    Hi,
for example, table like GL% and ... ?I believe this is no direct answer to your question as this depends on the number/type of records you have in your tables, and this varies from one organization/environment to another. You could calculate the size of the tables and decide which tables need compression by yourself.
some table contain long/long raw data_type ,so if I compress all tables in a tablespace(like APPS_TS_TX_DATA) ,filter long/long raw table will became a time-cosuming job..Please see if these links help.

  • Are Oracle Finanicals suitable for Insurance company????

    Hi,There,
I'm working for an Insurance company, now
we want to purchase accounting system, including
    AP,AR,Asset,GL,HRM,CRM,I know many companies
in the manufacture or buying offices fields purchase
the Oracle Financials, so I wonder if Oracle Financials
are suitable for our company's daily operation? if
Oracle Financials are suitable for our company?
what's more, can we just purchase Financials modules?
    Pls revert me,thanks a lot!
    New Groupie for Oracle APP.

I'm running it in production, and have run into some issues where I recommended to management to just spring the few hundred bucks for SE.
The basic problem is it has the bugs of a first release.  For my system, a few have been minor, but there has been an extreme growth of the sysaux tablespace.  For me, it wound up being simplest to just make a gold backup and restore that whenever the problem manifests, but I can only do that because I can reload all new data.  I have to make more gold when DDL changes.
I think the lack of bugfixes turns XE from a great idea to a bad one.  It's supposed to be appropriate for environments with no DBA, but that is just plain wrong.
    YMMV.

  • Are SSRS reports suitable for making customizable reports?

    Hi,
I want to give users an option to make customize reports in my web application. So I need to confirm that SSRS reports are suitable for this option or something else I have to implement it.
And if SSRS reports are suitable for this, then guide me how to start customization using SSRS reports.

    Hi Sanchit,
If I understand you correctly, you are looking for an option that can allow users can create their own report on your web application, right?
Microsoft Reporting Services offers four report authoring environments:
Report Builder 3.0. Use this tool to design reports that are compatible with a SQL Server 2008 R2 report server by using the familiar Ribbon interface.
Report Designer. Use this tool in SQL Server 2008 R2 Business Intelligence Development Studio (SQL Server 2012 SQL Server Data Tool) to design full-function
reports that are compatible with a SQL Server 2008 R2 report server.
However, the authoring tools cannot be integrated into custom web application, so I am afraid there is no such an option to make customize reports in your web application.
If I have anything misunderstood, please point it out.

  • Suitable for big enterprise applications?

    Hello,
I am an advocate of Apex in our Oracle Forms shop, but received the following statement: "I am afraid that because of its 2 tier architecture (entire processing is taking place in the DB) it is not suitable for big enterprise applications".
Please help me respond to this.
Not by saying "yes, it is" or "no, it is not, the person is right", but by saying why it is or it is not.
    References would be nice too.
    Thanks very much, in advance,
    Gabor

As the Director of IT for my company, here's why we use APEX as our main data entry/reporting solution:
    1) Centralized data. All the data resides in a single place. No duplication and no wondering "Is this everything?"
    2) Anywhere access. Because it is web/browser based, your users can gain access to the system whether at work or on the road. My company operates in the transportation industry across more than 8 states and we support many traveling managers. Web-based access and wireless connectivity enable them to be anywhere and get access to real-time data.
    3) Instant deployment and updates. With APEX, content and new functionality can be instantly deployed across an entire organization without the need for expensive software management agents. It also eliminates versioning problems because it ensures everyone is using the same version. You can't do it that simply with a normal enterprise application.
    4) Cross-platform Compatability. Again, because everything is browser-/standards-based, users can use Apple, Windows, Linux, smartphones, etc. Most standard applications have to have specific components written to interact with each type of device or operating system. With web applications, you can develop once and deliver everywhere.
    5) Rapid development. I can have a basic application developed including table definitions, etc. in a matter of days BY MYSELF.
About the comment, I'd like to know what types of enterprise applications AREN'T 2-tiered or even 3-tiered applications? You have a presentation layer and a data layer in all applications; the application doesn't house the data itself. The main difference between APEX and many other applications is the delivery method: instead of a proprietary/internal transfer of data between the data layer and the presentation layer, it's being run out over the Internet. Frankly, the concern isn't about the tiers, it's about something else and the objector doesn't want to tell you the real reason.

    Hello,
Do you mean to say that you want to shift between landscape and portrait formats of A4?
If so find this solution. The solution is simple , go to Pages and windows and double click on the page. In the second Tab strip named "Outbound options" select "Portrait" or "Landscape" format. The page type is selected as DINA4 for A4 sized paper.

  • Does Mac OS make PDFs suitable for going to Press?

For some years I've been producing a series of small, relatively simple booklets (4x5", 44pp, text & scanned line-art graphics). I've been putting them together in PageMaker (v.5—yes, in OS 9), and making PDFs to go to press with Acrobat (v.5). Now I can't use PageMaker for the latest one, because it's in Japanese, which PM can't handle; so I'm trying Pages. Seems to work okay, but I'm wondering about the PDF part: Does Mac OS X's "Print to PDF" function make a PDF suitable for going to press, like the "Press" setting in Acrobat—i.e. with full-resolution graphics, etc.? (I know Mac OS's PDFs embed the fonts in the document, so that part would seem to be covered.) Anyone know if there's anything to worry about there? Anything special I need to do?
    TIA,
    Andrew Main

Can you post a screen snap and specification of your newsletter
What I'm working on is a reprint of the Japanese version of the Thanksgiving Address for The Tracking Project, a fine organization run by a friend of mine. The Thanksgiving Address is an ancient Mohawk prayer/invocation, thanking all the elements of the world around us for their contributions to our lives. The original version takes a week to recite (and an elder who died a decade ago may have been the last man who remembered the whole thing); this is a much abbreviated version for international distribution. We produced the first edition, in the original Mohawk and English, in 1993. A year or two later, one of John's associates in Germany said he'd like to do a German version, so we did that. And so on. We just put out an Italian version, making ten different languages, each with the original Mohawk. See below the cover and one spread from the original English version, and samples from the Hawaiian and the Japanese version, which I'm working on now.
I did the original English/Mohawk version in PageMaker in 1993, and every version since except the Japanese, as PageMaker doesn't handle Japanese. All the others are in the Latin alphabet, though the Hawaiian required a specially modified Palatino font (with accented letters in ASCII slots) which luckily someone at the University of Hawaii had made up in the pre-Unicode days. In the 90s I was sending PageMaker 5 files to the printer, which fortunately they could open and work onto the press; only in recent years have I come across an old copy of Acrobat and learned how to distill the PageMaker files into press-ready PDFs.
For the original Japanese version in 1999, I took the usual layout in PageMaker, with the Mohawk text but the space for the other text blank, had it printed out at a service bureau on fine paper, then made up the Japanese text in AppleWorks, had it printed, then pasted the Japanese text blocks onto the PageMaker printout, and took it to the printer, who fortunately still had a camera to photograph it. I've been in graphic arts since the 60s, and was an expert paste-up man (pretty good on the corner print shop black-and-white camera too, as well as the IBM Selectric Composer), worked on (among others) the Whole Earth Catalog in the 70s and Stereophile magazine in the 80s.
But now it's time to reprint the Japanese version, and the translator wants to make changes, so I figured it was finally time to try updating my work into the current computer world. I have no need of InDesign (nor money to buy it—or do you have to rent it now?). I first thought of using Libre/OpenOffice (wish they'd get that straightened out) for future file compatibility, and from what I knew it seemed to have all the details I needed for this simple job. But, as a Mac user exclusively since I got my first computer in 1988, I found the program opaque, and when I early ran into a situation where a command I needed wasn't on the menu the manual said it was on, I gave up and went to Pages, which I have used a little, though there's a lot about it I don't care for. It seems like a lot of effort has been put into the façade, but some pretty shoddy work behind it.
But I've found it not very difficult to set up the Japanese Thanksgiving Address job in Pages, only I'm concerned if the printer can use it. Thus my query here. I'll be contacting the printer, and send them a sample PDF to see if it works for them. I hope I won't have to add crop marks, as from my initial look at the Manual, it seems Master Objects are only available on WP documents (which seems dumb)—which means I would have to manually add them on all 44 pages. Anyway it's a simple job, black only, so it should be workable.
Apple has moved so far from their old base of professional print designers it would be safe to say it isn't going to do anything to fix the issues.
Yes, 'tis a pity indeed. Now if you could do professional graphics on an iPad, there'd probably be a lot of time put into perfecting it. The Mac, though, and what it used to do, is old hat.
Have you thought about running a 32 bit version of OSX that supports Pagemaker in emulation?
I tried that once, back in the OS X 10.4 days, and it made my fans go wild. Anyway, the problem is that PageMaker can't work with Japanese—or I could just run it on my G3 PowerBook as I do for the other jobs.

  • What type of s.c.c module suitable for coil type transducer?

    Hi,
I have transducer which is of coil type. Usually, this transducer is used in a closed system. But now, I will connect it to my national instruments. What kind of is suitable for this purpose ?
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    W.P.

    Wibby-
It will ultimately depend on what type of transducer you have.  What do you mean by coil type?  Is it a LVDT?  Or is it electroacoustic?  If the transducer outputs a voltage, then the NI SCC-A10 might work, but without some more info/the owner's manual for the transducer, it is tough to make a suggestion.  Here is a link to our signal conditioning webpage, if you haven't already visited it:

This will be a good starting point for finding the correct SCC module for your hardware setup.

  • Skypes suitability for video conference meetings

    Hi
I would like to know if skype is suitable for a video conference meeting - my impression of skype is that is designed more for 1 to 1 video calls?  I've read about the multi call feature and while this is a nice feature each person needs to join seperately with their own computer which is not what I need.  What about the situation where we have 10 people in a meeting room and 10 people in another meeting room who would like to have a video conference between the two?  My understanding is that skype is not really suitable for this?  Can anyone advise differently?
    Thank you
    Dan

    Hello!
I have to set up a conference room with some sort of video conference solution. I really like google hangouts since our users are now migrating over to gmail with a personal domain but i'm also open to Skype.
I need ideas as far as equiment for this. I'd like to leave something set up so that we dont have to depend on someones computer to make the video call.
any recomendations of any equipment I could use? something small maybe like an android PC thats what ive heard. I'd like to use a camara and a microphone for better picture and audio quality on the side but again i'd like to have something small and not clutter.
