Is it true iPhone got a virus?

Is it true iphone got a virus?

There is no known malware of any kind for any iOS device, unless that device has been jailbroken.
If your iPhone has been jailbroken, then there is malware that could infect it. Jailbreaking removes all security on your phone. If you have done this, you need to restore your iPhone to factory settings, and don't jailbreak it again in the future. If you do decide to jailbreak it, or leave it jailbroken, risking malware will simply be something you'll have to accept, with the knowledge that there is no anti-virus software for the iPhone.

  • My iphone got a virus can you help me please???

it started like a small gray dot 2 days ago on the top of the battery logo on the home screen, the it started to grow it became longer and longer every day. When it reaches the other side of the screen it will go down to make another row of white line. Now it completely blocked my wifi signal and the battery logo.even if restart my iphone it is still there on the boot screen.I upgraded it on the latest version but it is still there i cant remove it please help me it keeps on growing on the screen of my iphone.

Make no mistake, whatever is going on with your iPhone, the one thing you can rule out with one-hundred percent certainty is a virus. Your'e dealing with a product made by Apple and running a slightly different version of it's desktop/laptop operating system Mac OS X. You will never get a virus once you are a Mac. Isn't that liberating?!
By the pictures it's a hardware problem with the screen or the screen's video inverter.
Good luck, hope your'e able to get it fixed.

my old computer got a virus and so i had to get a new one and install itunes anyway i want to put all my apps and contacts on my new iphone but everytime i go to sync it , it says that it will delete my apps. I linked my computer with itunes but i am still struggling does any one no away around this because i do not want to throw away 40 dollars worth of apps thankyou Mitch.

You can use your backup copy of your computer to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy, then you can transfer them from the iphone.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases
    Or you can redownload them:

  • Are iPhones prone to viruses in the same way other smart-phones are?

I had got the dictionary.com app from the app store, and had noticed that it had ads. Now, although unlikely, it struck my interest to as if these links could have the potential to be malicious. In which instance I have posed the question, "Are iphones succeptable to viruses?". This has come from knowledge that other smart phones are prone to such problems. Please and thank you.

There are no viruses effecting ios devices.  They operate in a closed system.

I bought adobe suite 4 student edition a few years ago and I am no longer a student and my laptop in which I have adobe suite has recently got a virus and I must uninstall the adobe suite in or to wipe the computer. If I uninstall the student edition and reinstall once the virus is removed from the computer will I have to go through the student product verification process or can I simply use the product key to reinstall the adobe suite?

Re-read my post:  You must deactivate before uninstalling.

  • Two separate iPhones got merged into one iTunes account. How to separate them. We are sharing all of each other's contacts at this time. Thanks for your help.

Two separate iPhones got merged into one iTunes account. How can I separate them in iTunes???????. We are sharing all of each other's contacts at this time. Thanks for your help.

The reason you are receiving each other's text messages is because you are both using the same Apple ID for iMessage.  To prevent this you need to use different IDs.  (Note: you can still share the same ID for iTunes.)  On one of the phones, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a separate ID.
To migrate your 3GS to a new iCloud account, start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep on the phone to your camera roll.  To do this, open the my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll.  Next, if you have any notes that you are syncing with iCloud that you want to keep, you'll need to email these to yourself so they can be recreated after moving to the new account.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, choose Keep On My iPhone.  Next, sign back in with a different Apple ID to create the new account, turn iCloud data syncing preferences and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, if you have merged data in the two accounts that you want to separate you will have to go to icloud.com from your computer, sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want from each account.

  • My current laptop is about 3 years old. Got a virus and had to wipe it clean. Now my IPod touch 2nd generation won't recognize this computer as the one it was originally assigned to.  what do I need to do to safeguard my tunes on the Ipod touch.

My current laptop is about three years old and got a virus.  Had to wipe it clean.  Now my Ipod Touch-2nd generation is not recognizing it as the primary original computer and says it is registered on another computer.  What can I do to safeguard my library of songs on the Ipodtouch.  Any suggestions?

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your iPod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
    Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your ipod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your device for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
There is 3rd party software out there, but not supported by Apple, see this thread:http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0

Let it dry for a week or so.

  • I got a virus on my computer and it deleted all of my stuff. is there a way to move my music back to itunes from my ipod?\

I got a virus on my computer and it deleted all of my personal files is there a way to push my music back to itunes? i tried to sync but it only moved a small amount of my music.

The music sync is one way - computer to ipod.  The exception is itunes purchases.  Without syncing:  File>Transfer Purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
