Is itunes compatible with windows 8.1

is itunes compatible with windows 8.1

Bull-pucky the latest version is compatible!  I have spent the better part of a great Sat. downloading versions all the way back to 10.7 even deleting the Library.itl   file and starting fresh.  I am running Windows 8.1 / 64-bit. . . . .went into ITunes Store today and all of a sudden NO WORDS OR DESCRIPTIONS APPEAR, ONLY PICTURES OF ALBUMS.  How's one supposed to purchase anything when you cannot see what you're clicking on?  ITunes has long had issues with Win 8.1 which I'm aware of, but THEY have done something from their end (possibly with this new $7.99 per month change coming)  I'm assuming if I had a Mac this wouldn't be a problem, but this just stinks!  I purchase a ton of music and have 16 published stations, do they not want my $$ any longer?  Not negative towards you, sorry - can you help?

    Is itunes compatible with windows 8. I get 100% disk usage when downloading from itunes store.

    I have the same issue when downloading from itunes store. 100% Disk utilization and only writing ~2.5MB. This is a Windows 8-8.1/iTunes issue. On which side? who knows... But i don't have this issue when writing to my main drive, this is not a drive issue as i tried it on many drives and even on RAID 0. I hope they get this fixed, this is driving me nuts. I have a 50Mbps x 5Mbps Internet conneciton and its bottlenecking me at 25Mbps. Lame!

    Is Itunes compatible with Windows Data Execution Prevention?
    Every time I open iTunes, the Data Execution Prevention Closes it Down. We Have Windows XP

    I finally got it to work by making sure that I was running itunes as the "administrator".  Here's what I did: Right click on itunes......click on 'run as'.....click on "administrator", it'll ask for a password.  If you don't know it (like me) create a new account user called "Admin" with a password.  Everytime you want to use itunes do this.  I know it's a pain but so far so good.  Hope this helps.

  • Is itunes compatible with windows 7 64-bit

    Is iTunes cmpatible with Windows 7 64-bit?  I just had to get new computer and got rid of Vista.

    Apple has JUST RELEASED a version of iTunes that is compatible with Win7 64 bit!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Go to Apple.com, select download for iTunes, When you select the Win OS you'll see a message in tiny blue print that there's a special download for Win7 64, click on that, then download.  I had to disable the Windows Firewall to get the download.  I run AVG as my protection system.
    I have Win7 64 and have been having compatibility problems for the past few weeks after recent automatic Win7 updates and the iTunes 10 upgrade.  I am still having freeze problems but not as bad.

  • Is itunes compatible with Windows XP?

    When it was in the process of updating itunes, a message came up and said it might not be compatible with Windows XP. It strongly suggested I stop the update. So, I did. It also said that if I didn't it could damage my computer immediately or in the future. Is the latest itunes update compatible with Windows XP?

    It is but with this version - Windows XP Sevice Pack 2 or later, 32 bit

  • Is itunes compatible with windows surface?

    Is itunes compatible with the new windows surface tablet?
    Have tried to download it, it ran but then after the re-start itunes was nowhere to be seen

    @Jonellis
    I am certainly no computer expert and purchased the Microsoft Surface Tablet when it first became available in Australia. Whilst it is great for the MS packages for my work, and the attachable keyboard is handy, the fact that itunes is not compatible means I can't have my music or movies etc when I travel - which is what I wanted it for.
    You also have to re-purchase apps and games through microsoft which I found cumbersome. I believe the newer version - Surface Pro 2 - however is itunes compatible.
    In retrospect I would have been better of getting a mini lap top running windows such as the Dell Inspiron Mini, the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC, the Acer Aspire orthe Asus Eee PC 1000

  • Is The Latest Version of iTunes Compatible With Windows 7 64 bit?

    It should work (many, many people have it working fine) though Windows7 was officially released only 2 days ago and iTunes has not had an update since then.

  • Itune is compatible with windows 8?

    Is iTune compatible with Windows 8 Pro? Thanks in advance.

    iTunes is not certified for use with Windows 8.
    Some people have installed it and report that it works fine;  others are reporting problems of various kinds.  If you are of the early-adopter temperament, go for it.

    Hey kriscro2,
    Thanks for the question. iTunes 11.1.4 is compatible with Windows 8, as outlined on the System Requirements page:

  • Is there a version of iTunes that is compatible with Windows 8.1?

    Is there a version of iTunes that is compatible with Windows 8.1?

    Thanks! The procedure worked great for me (using iTunes 10), however there was one caveat. I also had to edit “AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi” with Orca and change the entry in “LaunchCondition” from
    VersionNT64>=600
    to
    VersionNT64>=501
    in order for the Device Manager driver update procedure to work, and iTunes to recognize my iPhone4. Prior to doing this, only “digital still camera” was displayed in the “imaging” entry in Device Manger. Once I did the above, “Apple Mobile Device USB Driver” was listed, and the procedure worked as written.
